Plan extra time to stare at all the beers available. Took my husband 20 minutes to decide what we're trying. The place is spacious, vibey, and loud. Our server was friendly. The food was delicious and we'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

Comfortable couch in the party room, next to a window with a view.

Affordable, well prepared bar food. The big pretzel is warm and soft, and great dipped into the queso. The pizzas are good, and so are the wings and salad. It's right on the water, and such a great view.

Good food with an amazing deck view. The pretzel was amazing. The queso dip is okay but the beer cheese is phenomenal! We did a build your own pizza and the flavors were good. They have a lot of good options when building your own pizza too.

The beer selection here is great. The patio is gorgeous and you can't beat the sunset views. Really kind servers as well. Definitely a great spot for a drink. Food was just okay though - wings were pretty bland, salads are very small, and the pizza is generic. Fine if you just need bar food, but I'd definitely prioritize drinks here.

This place is a vibe. A good amount of outdoor seating that's completely shaded, loud music playing that any millennial would love, right on the water. The food was great too! The hot mama pizza is sooo good and the big pretzel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Will def be back! The only reason I'm giving a 4 instead of 5 is the service :( idk if that's what you sacrifice when you choose to sit outside, but we'd go 10+ minutes without seeing our server.

The Brunch Menu for SATURDAY and SUNDAY mornings!! 11am-3pm

I recommend getting the Mothership Mimosa to drink and the Brunch Pizza to eat!!! During brunch hours is a great time to bring the kids and if you have a dog (they are allowed outside only) but the patio is a great area to diner and/or drink too!!

    Fabulous flight of beers.

Can I recommend this business? Yes! Great beers, good burger menu and incredible patio dining right on the lake. If the weather is inclement you can belly up to the penny tiled bar, or better yet, pick a booth near the window so you can still get a view of the water. Flying Saucer has streamlined their menu recently, which I think is an improvement. There's a new kale salad, a veggie burger option and pizzas. The waitresses have started wearing short black pleated skirts (I guess to compete with Hooters next door?) Totally unnecessary. They're all very knowledgeable about the beers and can make recommendations. Treat yourself to a flight of beers - there are several options and it's fun to mix and match. I tried an eclectic Texas flight on my last visit and it was so good.

A perfect Sunday lunch overlooking the lake. Perfect temperature mid Sept so we ate outside right above the water. How nice! Tons of parking because it's in a shopping plaza. It's one of many restaurants lining the lake. They had 4 local ciders on draft. I requested the two sweetest ones--they gave me pineapple and passion fruit cider--both were awesome and not sour at all. The dips were great. The guacamole didn't have enough flavor and was too spicy. The Hot Mama pizza was great. Could definitely taste the honey which I love. They have a lot of both indoor and outdoor seating and have a lot of decor. Overall a great experience.

Service is amazing but definitely a place for beer not food. Tasted mediocre, and not fresh.

They have been great hosts for our book club. The meat and cheese plate with the pretzel is a nice snack to go with a stout.

Chicken-fried brisket is the star of the show here, and it's every bit as legendary as the hype…read moresuggests. I went specifically for their signature dish (the one they proudly call themselves the "Home of the Chicken Fried Brisket"), and it delivered exactly what everyone raves about. They take a thick, oak-smoked brisket slice--already juicy, tender, and loaded with smoky flavor and perfect bark--then coat it in a craft-beer batter and fry it up. The crust comes out shatter-crisp and golden, never greasy or soggy, while the brisket inside stays beefy and moist. That peppery burnt-end gravy poured over the top is rich, savory, and ties everything together beautifully with a scoop of skin-on mashed potatoes on the side. It's pure Texas comfort food genius--smoky BBQ meets Southern fried steak in the best possible way. I'd order it again in a heartbeat (it's a Tuesday special or weekend brunch treat, so plan accordingly). The rest of the BBQ holds up just as strong. Their regular brisket (flat and point) is consistently juicy, tender, and smoky with that killer bark everyone mentions. Sides and other meats are solid too--no weak links. The house beers are fantastic and pair perfectly with the rich, smoky food (the rustic, woodsy vibe in the historic downtown Garland spot makes it even better for lingering over a pint). Service is friendly and the whole place just feels welcoming. If you're in Garland or nearby and love bold Texas BBQ with a creative twist, Intrinsic is a must. The chicken-fried brisket alone is worth the trip--don't sleep on it! Highly recommend for anyone who wants great smoked meats, great beer, and something uniquely delicious

We ordered a half pound of fatty brisket and a side of Mac and cheese. The brisket was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. It had a nice smoke but it was pretty mild for my taste. I liked the bbq sauce in the packets. I took some home for some bbq beans. The Mac and cheese was pretty good. It was thick and well seasoned. Really good for a cafeteria style serving. I like this place. I could see it in my rotation for bbq locally.

I've even attended a private event here and the team did a phenomenal job from start to finish. They also have an excellent selection of spirits behind the bar for anyone looking to try something new-- whenever I look at the drinks menu I be Dublin. The food has always impressed me as well. I've had the spinach artichoke dip, the fish and chips and the shepherd's pie--which earns authenticity points for actually using lamb instead of beef. Everything has been delicious and I'm pretty sure the Fried Mozzarella Logs are next on my list today (7/2/2026). If you're looking for entertainment- (the back room) has a billiards table, shuffleboard and a dart board making it a great place to spend an afternoon or evening with friends. Currently, I am watching the World Cup game Portugal vs. Croatia and the atmosphere for sports is fantastic. I've also visited during their live music nights, which add even more character to an already great venue. Apparently, just in, they do Karaoke night every Thursday. Great food, great drinks, great people and a great atmosphere. Easy 5 stars.
