Dear Heirloom Kitchen Team, I wanted to share my experience with a recent DoorDash order, as I have always enjoyed dining in at your restaurant. The food is consistently amazing, and the service has been good. However, I was excited to try the pumpkin oatmeal pancake this time, and unfortunately, it was disappointing. The pancake arrived burnt, which was unexpected and not what I typically experience from your kitchen. It seems there may have been an oversight on the grill, as I believe this type of quality does not reflect your usual standards. It saddens me to think that this was packed and sent out to customers paying for their meals. I gave the BURNT Pumpkin oatmeal pancake a second chance like I did with my toxic ex and cut of the brunt part on each side on the other cake. I can't do it anymore. Not enjoyable. Everything here is so delicious! Everyone had something different and of course we had to have something sweet. The portions are great and filling as well. The service is top notch, they were checking on us making sure we had refills. I love how cute and quaint this restaurant is. We came at 11 on a Friday and it wasn't too busy. Food is great! The wait time for the food is a little longer than average but definitely worth the wait. It is on the pricier side. The soda comes in soda cans and a cup on the side with ice. Last November, my husband and I had a breakfast on a Friday. It wasn't busy yet when we came in. We were seated immediately by a courteous attendant. It was early, the attendants were still in their pleasant mood. We ordered a a bbq brisket breakfast sandwich, a plain Jane French toast a cup of coffee and 1 coffee to go. In addition, we ordered a sausage pattie (take-out for my dog) which turned out to be a good sized-Pattie on a bed of roasted potatoes and fresh green veggies. All that amounted to $50.09 which I think is a very reasonable price. The foods we ordered were wonderful, very pleasantly cooked and presented, like as if I was dining in a 4-star restaurant. The coffees were hot. The interior design of the place was very good. The general ambiance is uplifting. I felt lucky to have a wonderful experience. One thing I noticed though was the seats were like bench-style which we found narrow and quite uncomfortable because it was difficult to lean our backs on the backrest. The air conditioning wa also much, so I had to call the attention of the waitress to adjust it because we don't like our foods to go cold easy with cold air blowing. Fortunately, the waitress readily obliged to adjust the a/c. Overall, it was a great experience. I certainly wouldn't mind going back and I hope they will maintain their excellent service. read more

The Apple wood Bacon was a little dry and seemed as if it may have been cooked earlier and heated up! 5 out of 5 .. I was looking forward to taking my parents here for breakfast last week! The reviews were great and the food sounded delicious. I was surprised, however, to find this restaurant is not very welcoming. The hostess was incredibly cold. She did not smile or greet us when we arrived, and left the menus on the table and walked away before we could get to the table (I have elderly parents so they walk slowly). Our server was also not especially friendly, though she seemed to warm up towards the end of our meal (I think my husband's small talk opened her up a bit). The nicest person there was part of the kitchen staff, I believe, when he brought out my avocado toast after everyone else had their food. He actually smiled (unliked everyone else we encountered) and asked if we needed anything else. I spent over $100 on breakfast for four and did not enjoy our visit. I would rate the spice level at a 5-6/10: there's a kick but it's a good one! The flavor profile was very predictable but I did appreciate a hint of fall with the cumin addition.
