I wasn't expecting a whole lot when I decided to try this place at 11pm on a Sunday. The only store open in a dark ass parking lot, with not a soul in sight and nary a place to sit. Definitely felt a bit sketch at that time of night. I opened the door and was immediately hit with that smell that you only get from a NY pizzeria that the locals absolutely will fight you on, if you dissent. I ordered a margarita and he grunted an OK and walked off. A lot of chopping and other pizza making noises ensued. After what seemed like an eternity, he said the pizza is ready. While trying to pay, he motioned as if to say "look at this pizza". I legit wasn't expecting it to look so amazing. And then he said something to the tune of "I make a good margarita". It was very obvious that he was so proud of his work and wanted to show me of his culinary work of art. The pizza is as good as the wind chimes (which acted as a impromptu door alarm) were loud. Which is to say, incredibly so. Next time I find myself in Dallas, I'm making a trip at all costs. Quite the comestible circle. read more

Fabulous pizza, great service, reasonable price. Everything we normally would get was closed, and so we went on a search for highly rated pizza. This was IT. We ordered the 16 inch meat lovers pizza and it was excellent. The crust was done (so many places sacrifice doneness for speed and we usually end up with raw dough - not here though!), the sauce was present yet not overpowering, and the toppings were generous without making it a fork-necessary affair. The owner/operator greeted me (We arrived a few minutes early before our online order was scheduled to be ready) and chatted with me about new and upcoming creations he was working on! Heirloom Pizza, Plano: This is meant to be a positive review with a caveat. First, I hate pizza, but my family loves it. Constantly looking for something I like (will eat) we found this new place in Plano. Izza is a small takeout-only pizza place with extremely good toppings and preparation... IF the owners are on site. After hooking me on their food, I was coming home late a couple of weeks ago. Rather than eating warmed-up leftovers, I told my wife I'd get us a pizza on the way home. Three different times I called, and each time the phone went to voice mail. It was only 7:00 PM, so I knew they weren't closed. I drove to the store, which had an empty parking lot, but Heirloom's lights were on and open. When I went in, there was only one person there, who was not the owner. I placed my order plus tip (I hate tipping before service) and asked why the voicemail; he stated that they were very busy, so he forwarded the calls. I am assuming losing business because no one leaves an order on voicemail. I sat in one of the two waiting chairs for 20-25 minutes while my meat eaters pizza with extra meat etc was prepared. Only one person came into the store during the whole time I was there, nor did I hear the phone ringing off the hook. When I got home and opened the box, I might as well have picked up a DiGiorno at Krogers. I could have counted the amount of meat and extra ham on one hand. I wasn't disappointed; I was pissed. I swore off pizza, again, another 30 bucks down the drain. Tonight, we were short of time again. As a last resort, we un-swore off pizza. The normally bright-eyed owner wasn't there, but his mom +1 was. Her pizza with the extra toppings was incredibly good, and the saturation of quality toppings were exceptional. Heirloom is back on our list, with caution. Word to the wise ... find out whose cook'n before you place your order. read more

Ok, finally was able to try this place. Saw all the great reviews and decided to give it a try. We were not sorry at all. My wife and daughter wanted the Chicken Alfredo and I got a Meat Lovers, sans hamburger meat, with onions. Both were delicious! The crust was thin and crisp even by the time I got home almost 20 mins later. Worth the drive, even in the torrential rain the way back home. I want to try the Hawaiian and Margarita pizza next time. Owner and worker there were super friendly and nice. We ordered delivery pizza last night and the web portal said it would take about 30 minutes. I kept refreshing it and saw it was taking longer than expected and wondered why. It was delivered a half hour late and I expected cold food. I was pleasantly surprised when they delivered an extra box. Apparently one of our pizzas folded over on itself and instead of dumping it and just making a new one, they made the new one and included the mistake with the order as an apology. Perfect crust and thick/thinness, Nice size pizzas that are worth the price, and great customer service. They also have Halal options which is amazing! To go into detail: I finally tried this pizza joint after driving past it multiple times and it did not disappoint. My friends and I placed an order over the phone, 1 large supreme and 1 small spinach pizza. We arrived to pick it up and the owner (Justin) and employee (Gabriel) were incredibly nice! They have old arcade machines you can play if you're waiting and if you beat the high score you get free pizza. The owner and employee were very personable and it really seems like they try their best to get to know all their customers which I think is so important these days to build little food communities. The owner also gave us 6 free cannolis to welcome us in. Importantly, it seems that they had a regular customer (Danny) who may have passed away- they have a paper posted by the register where it tells the customers relationship with the pizza place and their specific regular order that they ordered every time and you are able to order it. If that doesn't say personable, I don't know what does. The people were great, the food was delicious, and my friends and I will for sure be back! All of the others fail in comparison to Justin and his crew at Heirloom. When you walk in, you are welcomed by all. Even on our first visit, we felt like we were long time customers. They have 2 arcade games to play while waiting. Now, a few months later, we make this our goto place for pizza Friday. Ambiance is a welcomed change from many other pizza joints. Justin takes care to make the best product. I was there Saturday night after he sold out of Detroit style and went back to pick up lunch pizza on Sunday! I highly recommend the Detroit style pizza. The crust has a perfect density, the cheese is caramelized with crunchy edges. I chose pepperoni, Italian sausage and red onions which made for a very tasty pie. I also ordered the Danny's pizza (a tribute to a regular customer who passed away) a foldable mozzerella cheese pizza, light sauce, no Parmesan and exactly 5 pepperoni slices making it simplicity at its finest. My Saturday night order was a Fred's Steakhouse special and a Supremely Superior pizza. Both were excellent, we especially liked the Steakhouse which is topped with banana peppers. I had cannoli for dessert which has imported Italian cannoli shells, house made cream perfectly balanced sweetness and plenty of chocolate chips. It was a perfect finish to the top-notch pizza. I drove 7 miles past several pizza shops because my friend raved about their pizza. I found my new favorite pizzas at Heirloom! I'm so glad that my wife and I decided to try Heirloom Pizza! The service was amazing! As soon as we entered we were warmly greeted by the owner, he was very nice and friendly. Our pizza was delicious! We got the Supremely Superior and the Basil & Mozza Magic. You can taste each individually ingredient, the basil was harvested from plants grown in store! The fresh ingredients give the pizzeria a pleasant aroma, and you can tell that he puts his all into every pie. Great ambiance overall! The experience from start to finish was far more than we were expecting from a small pizzeria. We were offered free drinks while we waited, the owner was extremely accommodating. I love Detroit style pizza and with this being one of a handful of places who make it in Plano, had to give it a shot. We had two custom pizzas, the Detroit pizza was very good, not the best ever, but damn good.....he checked all the boxes on this style of pizza AND the sauce is homemade, not sweet, quite savory and good. My wife had the NY style and the crust was very chewy as expected, quite delicious. All the ingredients tasted fresh, high quality and he didn't skimp on the amounts. They tossed in a free piece of cheese cake and although I don't think it is made there, it was very good. Delivery or takeout only, BUT he has free Pac-Man and Galaga while you wait.
