I absolutely love this place. The first time there, it was only a couple of people. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. I'm allergic to vinegar and they were very accommodating. My wife and I came in for dinner and sat at the bar; our food was perfect, the chicken was grilled right; we had the hummus dip and subbed in the cucumbers all of which were pre sliced and fresh. The real stand out was the customer service. Haley and Morgan took care of us, had good recommendations on the menu, and were extremely kind to everyone that came into and exited the space. We own a restaurant company as well, and we can be very particular as we notice every detail! Excellent Greek food in Charlotte which there is not a ton of... I went here for the first time on a weekday for lunch and got the souvlakia chicken and pork skewers. Dish was excellent and fresh with the meat prepped perfectly. Fries were on point and the pita bread was as fresh as could be. Cafe wasn't too Crowded so just sat at the bar and service was impeccable... this would be a great lunch or dinner spot and I plan to be back and order their takeout as well. read more

The space is beautiful and the food was delicious; I got a veggie pita and spanakopita. They're brand new and still have a few kinks to work out in regards to flow of service. I was the only customer in there, but it took a while to place my order, and then to get my order. They also didn't have their whole menu available to order from. I think that once they're up and running for a few weeks, this will improve. If you're a coffee fan, their Greek frappe is actually very delicious. I started with the hummus and then got the Lamb Burger with a side salad. It was all delicious and the burger was comparable to Kid Cashew's burger- which I love. The only thing that I wish was different was their speed of service. My boyfriend and I waited a really long time before anyone came to our table when we first sat down. Then, we waited even longer to put in our food order. I think this was mostly due to understaffing so I'll give it another try. read more

My wife and I went here today for lunch. We walked in and there was a 12 top from a workplace and I assumed our order, after theirs, would take awhile. Well, another group of 12 came in and I told my wife we are deep in the weeds on our order. We were not. The crew at Hellenic hustle. We had the tzatziki and pita app, which was yummy, followed by an ample and fresh Greek salad and we both got the lamb pita. The meat was flavorful and not salty! The pita was light and fresh. Lunch allows you to chose from around 8 items in column A with another eight choices in column B for $17. Quite a fair exchange for what you got along with the staff's attention. Great spot. Popped in here for a leisurely lunch with a friend and sat at the bar. The ambiance is fairly modern and fresh. The bar was clean and the bartender was attentive. We ended up getting the lunch special which was a "pick 2" sort of deal. All the food was extremely fresh and flavorful. The salad was enormous and filled with delicious vegetables, olives, feta, etc. The lamb meatballs were great. Honestly this is a good place to go if you want a delicious fresh and somewhat healthy meal. The price was very good for the quality of food, service and ambiance. I worry about this location because people think parking is hard to come by, but there is quite a bit of street parking and spots in the Dilworth neighborhood just a block or two away. Will not return. Came in around 2pm on a Wednesday, there were 4 total tables inside and out. Gyro took 30 minutes, we were never given another water and sat there for roughly an hour. I can understand a rush or busy kitchen but then supplement that with service. read more

My wife and I ate there this evening with family and friends and we were blown away. The appetizers were delicious. We especially loved the bruschetta! So fresh!! The entrées were just as fabulous. I got the Greek salmon and my wife got the chicken and spinach Greek orzo. We got a sampler of several dessert and they came out hot and fresh. To top it off my wife got a wonderful Greek iced coffee. The service was second to none. The atmosphere was modern and friendly. Owners Peyton and Amelia have outdone themselves. We entered the airy, bright Hellenic Greek Kitchen and were seated at one of the several tables near the windows. Although the weather was dreary outside, the restaurant was warm and inviting. We had the crisp fresh Greek salad, lamb burger with tzatziki sauce, calamari, horiatiki (a salad with tomatoes, onions, cucumber, and feta), loucoumades (like doughnut holes covered with a spiced honey), and Greek coffee. Always looking for a good Greek place where I can be waited on. Found this place by chance and am glad I did! We had spanakopita, bruschetta and tzatziki apps along with arugula salad and lamb burger for main dishes. Food was great. Service was great. Ambiance also great - cute and upscale casual is how I'd describe it. Parking was also pretty easy - I got a spot on street with no problem and no charge evenings. Also saw that parking is available in garage that is behind the building. Overall it was all great, except for how stuffed I was when I left. I dined as this establishment multiple times during my stay in Charlotte and the service was good thanks to the AMAZING Hailey and Jennifer. However, I went in late one day to get some work done while dining and I left my charger and iPhone stand. Unfortunately, by the time I got home they had already closed so I wasn't able to get ahold of someone. I called first thing the next morning and spoke with a gentleman who told me that they had my items and would hold them for me. When I went to pick them up after work (after being stuck in traffic for almost an hour), the young woman that assisted me told me that no one had found a charger and there was nothing she could do. I wasn't so much upset that the charger wasn't found, but more so disappointed about her dismissive and discriminative attitude. When I asked to speak with a manager, she looked at me and rudely stated "I am the manager and the owner". I politely told her that I was certain I had left my charger there and the server confirmed it and she then responds with "Well, they didn't find anything so there's nothing I can do." She took zero accountability for a staff member misinforming me nor did she apologize for the inconvenience they had caused me. Aside from the kind servers, I wouldn't recommend this spot especially if you're Black/Afro-Latino. And the food isn't even that good especially for the price point. I visited often because the servers made my dining experience worthwhile. She should take lessons from them and not look down on people of color nor make accusatory statements. read more

Service was terrible. Extremely slow and multiple times items came out late. My friend ordered a specialty drink and it didn't come out until after we have finished our meals. Keep in mind we ordered our drinks before even placing our lunch orders. My other friend ordered ketchup with their fries and they didn't receive the ketchup until Gaian after we finished our meals. Not sure why we ordered desert but I guess I wanted to give them another chance. We ordered the tiramisu and while it looked delicious it was frozen!!! Finally the waitress said she removed the drink from our bill but when reviewing the bill we saw we were still charged. What a experience never coming back. read more
