A nice cute little restaurant in the busy south end area. We went on a Friday evening and were able to get in with a reservation. We ordered the fries, bruschetta, oregano potatoes as appetizers and had the lemon chicken and vege pita wrap for mains. The lemon chicken was a little heavy on the sourness. But what was amazing was the portion size of all of the dishes were great! My must have recommendations are the Santorini cocktail and the baklava. Such a beautiful family restaurant. I did not know it was a family owned restaurant until our sweet server explained the story behind it. So happy I got to walk in and dine here. The food was amazing and the portions were pretty fulling. There was only two staff members and they were killing it. They waited on all the tables and treated us so well. I've been searching for a good Greek place in Charlotte and this is making my list. It's pretty casual dining, but still cute. Our waitress was great. I got the veggie pita and my friend got the chicken pita and we split each in half, so in the photo it's only half of the actual amount shown. First time in the Queen City and found this gem on Yelp and was craving authentic Greek food. The restaurant is small but cozy in a good way with sunlight coming in from the windows facing the road in all a pretty decent place. Keep in mind it is a little chilly inside and they have outdoor seating. Now for the food I had the Mediterranean platter and let me tell you it's so filling and flavorful I could barely finish it and my significant other had the Turkey burger which also looked great. I went on a weekday bc I saw the reviews were great. I ordered my food & immediately I could tell it was old & prob left over from night before. I got the Spankakopita and it was dry & stale. I also got the lamb burger. There was no sauce nothing the bread was also stale. I got the choose 2 & tried to switch out the spankakopita for another item under the choose 2 and they wouldn't do it and made me still pay the $ 18. I would never ever eat here again. I found Hellenic looking for more Greek restaurant options and really happy that I stumbled upon it. We were going to be downtown for an event but came here for an early dinner. The atmosphere is very clean and inviting. Almost like you are in someone's home. Our service was really good and then comes the food. VERY HAPPY with the food. We started with the Grape Leaves and they had really good flavor. We were grabbing a light bite so we both had salads. I chose the Greek salad with gyro meat and my wife had the Mediterranean salad with Chicken. Both of the salads had big portions and great flavor. Disappointing. First time here. Service was good. Parking is behind the building in the garage (first floor of an apartment building). We had saganaki (cheese on fire) for an appetizer, but it was too salty. For main course, I had the lemon chicken, which is highly raved on here. It was dry inside, not the least bit moist. Wife had the souvlakia. Her chicken had an odd taste to it, but the pork was okay. Specialty drinks (non-alcoholic) were refreshing. Main course was for the most part okay, but the desserts were bad. We shared two small desserts, the loukomades was dry inside; the affogato (vanilla ice cream with expresso) was completely melted by the time it got to us. We drove 50 minutes to get here. Walked in here with zero expectations and that's when you get wowed! From the minute you walk in your greeted even though they are extremely busy, we were a few minutes early for our reservation so we're prepared to wait. Such a cool place! I got a super delicious Aperol spritz, also on the table a Greek beer called Mythos, which was very good I was told. The Crete cocktail was also super nice and refreshing, cucumber, gin, mint and lime, yum. The Rhodes was their mule, Ruby red vodka, ginger beer, mango and lime juice. Really good strong ginger flavor. They some other great cocktails named after Greek cities! Started with the Greek fries, must try! The rice and chick peas made it really hearty and still light. Great mix of flavors. The tzatziki dip freshly made, with lots of pita, I mean lots! You just can't stop eating it! I shared a lemon chicken platter, the chicken was very moist and so flavorful rich, with more of their super crunchy fries, tzatziki and pita and a little salad this is a full plate! Great sharer, highly recommend this plate. The gyro, another plate of mixed delights. Shaved lamb, again great flavor, fries and salad, pita and tzatziki., The spinach feta orzo, was so rich, creamy and lemony. This was one of my favorites. Lots of spinach and tomatoes and Parmesan, great side or main meal. Great comfort food style dish. This is a great new place with zero problems as far as I can see! Service was top notch, our server checked on us multiple times, and the food was amazing and great atmosphere. All requirements checked. Loved the freshness of everything, didn't have space for dessert but they had some great sounding ones I'll most definitely make space for next time. This a must try in south end. I was excited to go here last night. The reviews looked great and I really like Greek food. It was a special night with my daughter and her boyfriend. My daughter ordered the Gigantes which are huge kidney bean like beans with feta. It was delicious. She also ordered the meatballs which were equally good. Her boyfriend had the lamb burger which he also thought was really good. I was torn between the Souvlakia skewers of chicken and the Lemon Chicken which I eventually chose. Everything arrived promptly and the servers were attentive with answering questions and taking our drink orders and food orders. The restaurant I might add was full. My guess is seating for 60 including the adjacent bar area. Unfortunately to my great disappointment my lemon chicken was extremely dry and rather hard. I didn't eat much. My regular French fries were hot and delicious and my Greek salad was fabulous both came with my meal. It was a really nice night and we stayed for about 3 hours talking and sharing photos of their recent vacation. We had three different cocktails were all delicious too. I ordered the Baklava Old Fashion which filled the rock glass only half way. We initially thought the drink wasn't mine but one cleared from another table. I wish that our dinner plates had been removed from the table promptly as well as the first round of cocktails. We didn't order dessert but that Baklava Cheesecake was calling to me from the moment I first saw it on the menu. There is a parking garage directly behind the restaurant and they have reserved spaces for guests so they don't have to pay for parking. I parked in the other lot from six to midnight is $10. Next time I'll park in the other place so I won't have to pay anything. read more

This new Greek spot in south end is definitely worth a visit! The space is very bright and inviting, with plenty of tables and a bar with seating as well. The menu is straightforward, with all of the Greek basics and plenty of options. We tried the spicy feta dip and spanakopita to start, both of which were delicious. For the mains I got the lemon chicken plate, which is served with salad, fries, pita, and tazziki sauce. All of it was so fresh and it was a very large portion especially given the price. We also got some delicious mocktails to drink. Our server was friendly and attentive and checked in with us throughout the meal to ensure everything was good. Great Greek Grub! This was our third time here. The first was when they first opened, the second was takeout, and the third was a sit-in dinner date before an engagement we were attending uptown. The food has gotten better. I had the salmon on spinach which was garnished with pairs and feta cheese. It was a tasty combination. After seeing a lot of good social media hype, I decided to check it out. Overall the food was good but didn't blow me away. Portions were generous, especially for the price and considering it's a scene-y new restaurant in South End, but some of the flavors were not to my personal taste. I got the Chicken Souvlakia Platter with Greek Fries. Chicken was perfectly cooked but a little on the spicy side? For most people that's ok, but usually Greek food is not spicy at all so I didn't care for it. That said, the fries were great and so was the tzatziki that came with. They did a nice job on the space, it's really nice vibes in there with the light furniture and tile and the neon sign. Service was pleasant and very attentive as well!
