I was craving a taro smoothie and this place didn't disappoint! They have happy hours weekday from 3-7pm on selected items. I would come back!

01/13/26 Saturday [3.5/5] Had this during a party with catering from Hello Boba. It was the Royal Milk Tea with less ice and boba pearls. The tea was a bit bland and the pearls were very hard. I don't think anyone finished their drinks. Perhaps the party hosts picked it up the day before. I'll have to go in person one day to give it a fair review, but for now, I give it a 3.5/5.

Great decoration to let you know where you're at! Very catchy with the creative signage!!!

I'll be honest! Wasn't planning to come here at all but thanks to Google Map I typed in "boba nearby" and suggested that I try this place out. Let me tell you folks!!! EXCELLENT boba!!! I was served by an employee named Heaven and it's so ironic that the boba drink she had prepared for me was HEAVRN! The boba was so fresh and I ordered the Ube matcha drink with boba and egg pudding!!!! I was loving it so next time you're in the city of El Monte! Try out Hello Boba!!! Parking is not an issue because it's located in a small plaza with plenty of space.

Ok first time and most likely not the last time! We tried their special with pudding. I asked for no grass jelly, wife won't like that, a boba milk tea and a boba Thai tea. My daughter thought the boba milk tea, the tea flavors were too strong but I poured it out and added some milk and black sugar syrup that we have at home to lighten the tea flavor. The other two 5/5! This place definitely doesn't go light on their flavors! They also offer stamp card! Ambiance 4.5/5 cute place Cleanliness in lobby 5/5 Taste of beverages 4.5/5 Service 5/5, staff was I formative and friendly for my first time ordering! Thank you!!

[August 21, 8:50 PM] The price of the drinks are friendly. A large size drink cost around $4-$6, and you can add boba toppings for free. On top of that, they offer a BOGO 50% off deal during their Happy Hour (Monday-Friday, 4-7 PM). Make sure you ask for a stamp card! I forgot to ask for stamp card in my previous visits. The drink itself is decent for the cost. The brown sugar boba is chewy, and I love adding popping boba to go with it. The service is friendly and quick. Our drinks were ready after I took the photo. The interior is also very cute. They've got a backdrop for those instagram photos. The only downside I can think of is just the parking lot, sometimes it can be filthy.

Placed order via DoorDash for pick up. Drink was ready when I arrived. The place was cute inside but didnt spend much time in there since I was picking up on my break. Ordered the Matcha Boba Milk with brown sugar boba and oatmilk. The matcha flavor was ok. It could have used more matcha because once I mixed it with the rest of the drink the flavor became more faint than what I would have liked. It was faint at this point. The boba was pleasant. It was soft and chewy and I enjoyed the brown sugar. The drink was still sweet even after requesting 50% sugar so I would adjust accordingly if you like less sweet. I would realistically give it 3.5 stars. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't a standout matcha drink either.

I come here often and I usually like the service and drinks but today I went and ordered two drinks but they only made me one and had to reorder again. The first drink taste like it's supposed to the other one tasted like a glass of milk. Sometimes depending on who is working the drinks can be inconsistent.

Cute boba place with lots of decaf choices. Clean and cozy. Drinks were good, but boba was a little too chewy. Maybe because I came late. Still will go again. Would take a date here and take some instagram pics.

Craving boba. Ordered a crème brûlée matcha smoothie. Very smooth and light. Not overpowering at all. They have B for inspection?! . Eeekk. Parking lot is small but wasn't busy on a Monday at 530pm. Cute photo op up here as well.

We were on our way to dinner and was making a pitstop for boba, apparently we went to this south El Monte store instead of the one on Lower Azusa. Either way, still close to each other and most likely will be the same! We ordered a few drinks with the staff and looked around while we waited. Our drinks were ready super quick! I ordered a matcha boba milk tea, half sugar, no ice with boba. At first the color looked a bit off but if you mix it, it's green! I think they put brown sugar syrup on the container so it was just brown before you mix it. It was delicious! Unfortunately since it was night time and probably not busy because the plaza was a bit empty, the boba was mixed with chewy ones and hard ones. Still a great drink! I wanted to stay a bit as they have cute decorations and a photo shoot display inside that was very bright and colorful. They also had a table of cute plushies for sale as well as deserts at the counter. We had to get on our way to dinner so we didn't get to stay long.

It's my first try, and I like it! The flavor and consistency were great. They were efficient as well. There's no tables there, so it's to-go only. They also have an area decorated with their store name in a neon light for photos. Definitely will come back to try other drinks

We've been regulars at Hello Boba for a while. They're one of our go-to spots in the area. We've tried several items on their menu and all of them are great. We especially love getting their milk teas. They also have stamps cards, where you get a free drink (or discount) after 10. The shop itself has seats, but no tables. They have a mini shop in the front where you can browse/buy cute knick knacks. The parking lot has ample amount of space.

We wanted to like this place but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. The drinks tasted extremely sweet and watered down at the same time. The boba seemed harder than the ones in other boba establishments. There are so many other boba spots in the area so I would recommend you going there instead.

First off, the takoyaki octopus balls were full of flavor. I feel that this place does them really well. You don't feel overwhelmed by any seafood tastes and instead, you get well balanced flavor throughout every bite with the combination of the ball itself, the sauces and the flakes on top. Next is the omurice. The egg is cooked to perfection and tastes absolutely amazing. The curry, however, which was recommended by the waiter over the Demi glaze, tasted exactly like the Vermont curry cube you get in the grocery store, so I'm not sure why he recommended that over the Demi glaze. The fried rice within the omurice was alright too. Originally, I wanted to get the tonkatsu omurice but got it on the side as the choice wasn't available for the lunch menu. I would suggest doing without the tonkatsu because it was dry and there's a million and one places that can do tonkatsu better than this place. Honestly, I wish I had the opportunity to cut the omurice myself and choose how much curry I put on it, but the staff did that instead, which I guess made for a good video, but took away from my innate desires to cut the egg on my own haha. Next, the ramen tasted pretty basic like what you could get at any ramen shop. For the chicken wings, I've never had chicken wings in this flavor. They were really really good and I would definitely recommend the wings. For the desserts, I enjoyed both the matcha and the snow globe. I'm not sure what I enjoyed more, however. The snow globe is a gelatin and it doesn't really have too much flavor until you get to the parts with the flower. Plus the little clear balls have a nice flavor and texture. For the matcha, it has an interesting texture and then an interestingly light, yet deep matcha flavor. Oh the drinks. The Thai tea tastes exactly like how it does everywhere else. The amazing lemonade is a lemonade with a few slight modifications, like with cucumber and maybe some other things as well. For the service, it's pretty good here. Everyone is pretty attentive. There are three things at the table, such as cayenne pepper and two other bowls you can add to your dishes to add flavor. I forgot the name of the one I liked but it looked kind of like pork floss or loose tea, and that one had a lot of flavor. I think what's most appealing about this place is the ambiance because you can like sit in a honeycomb, there's fancy designs everywhere and you feel like you're in a different place. I think it's a good restaurant but it's kind of weird how some things here are amazing and some are just okay.

Food: The Pork Tonkatsu Omurice was delicious and very filling. The Crispy Fried Chicken rice burger was okay, I will say the cucumber in it is very apparent. If you finish the bowl you can reveal if you get a free item next visit or not. The Amazing Lemonade was like the name, amazing. The place is really eye catching and getting those honeycomb seats did make a first experience good.

The girl working the counter was a young girl just getting by her summer day job. She was nice but timid. It was our first time there and a little more energy on her end could've been better. Ordered the ube swirl, pineapple dole whip, mung bean taiyaki, and a custard one togo. The taiyaki that goes onto the ice cream is a lot bigger than one we ordered to go. I thought it would be as big, but when I got it, it was so much smaller and flat. Also, the taiyaki that goes on top of the ice cream was old. It had been sitting there for a while or was made earlier as it was hard and difficult to bite. The red bean inside I also assumed was a paste like how they make the Japanese version, however there were whole pieces in there. It was okay, but I thought they'd be like paste. Overall, the only thing that was good was the ube swirl and the pineapple dole whip. It was also extremely warm in the shop, like no AC in the triple digits summer heat. Had to eat it elsewhere. I most likely won't be back.

I was hoping to have my own AE86 built and ready when I finally stopped by, but maybe for the new location. As an honest critique of the actual storefront, the appearance and decor is very charming. In a very bright, Japanese themed cafe kind of way. But because this is an Initial D themed drink and snack spot, I can see this being a place where mostly guys use this place as a meet-up hub. Especially for a small car meet. Very niche right? Especially for the dying breed of 1980's 1990's - 2000's JDM cars. That said, how many guys in the city could you actually get to come here regularly for soy and soy-based accessories, drinks, and snacks? The dessert was okay, and I wasn't in love with the drinks. Light, tofu refreshing, but not captivating. Personally, the menu doesn't appeal to me, since I try to avoid soy since it tends to be a pro-estrogen consumable. I don't think they had to box themselves in into being a purely tofu-only cafe. They could sell tofu products, and also have something simple but repeatedly addictive; like In-n-Out, Wurstkuche, Howling Ray's, Tea Master Matcha Cafe, Savoy, Langer's, etc. The closest idea I can think of that would be forced into tofu would be like really excellent, authentic mabo tofu, agedashi tofu, or like a karaage or Tokyo fried chicken style fried chicken with a mabo tofu dipping sauce, heavy on the ma-la flavors. Hell, I might even stop by more if they imported more car parts, from like Impulse, TRD, or Apex'i. But the way the AE86 market is, it makes more sense to sell online to the global niche. Wonderful atmosphere and mood for the Initial D/MF Ghost/Subaru to Subaru fandom. It was fun just to follow on instagram and catch a glimpse of all the influencer personalities in the car community stopping by. I'll look forward to what their next Project T(ofu) looks like. See you next time, Space (cow) boy. Oh-oh-oh. I need you babe.

The peach gum is stewed until smooth and velvety, gliding across your palate with a rich coconut aroma. The layers of texture are incredible and so fun--you honestly can't stop eating it! Mango Pomelo Sago The ultimate classic Cantonese dessert, and they nailed it! The mango puree is so silky and smooth that the moment you bite into it, an explosion of intense mango flavor bursts in your mouth with zero fiber--just pure, velvety perfection. The juicy pomelo sacs are the absolute star, perfectly balancing the mango's sweetness while elevating both flavors into a magical synergy. It is SO juicy!! I was completely lost in dessert heaven! If you love Cantonese desserts, go check it out with your eyes closed. These three are absolute must-orders--you'll be thanking me later! A Little Bonus: What touched me wasn't just the amazing desserts. The moment I walked through the door, a quote on the wall hit me right in the feelings: "The world can be a bit bitter, so I want to give you a little sweetness." For anyone getting off work, walking in here feels like being wrapped in a warm embrace by a friendly stranger. One bowl of this dessert brings sweetness to your tongue and warmth to your heart, instantly washing away all that workday burnout~

Really nice in this heat wave especially after a workout. Avocado coconut shake - my absolute favorite! Coconut water blended with avocado to make this refreshing yummy drink. Balanced between the coconut and avocado was perfect. You can adjust sweetness but I find regular good for my taste. 10/10 would recommend. Ordering is easy, you can order online for pick up or in person at the kiosk. Everyone working there is also super nice. Been coming here since they were in San Gabriel.

There is free parking behind the theater in the structure as well as in the structure across the street. I loved that their drinks were southeast Asian inspired with coconut, pandan, and gula melaka! I got the watermelon sago coconut milk $6.95. It had sago in it, but I didn't expect it to have agar boba in it too. The drink was at regular sugar but was so good and refreshing. Not too sweet. (I couldn't make the sweetness lower) I think the coconut shake is a popular one to get here. I'll try it next time!
