Probably the best deli for breakfast and lunch I have ever been to. They are a little on the expensive side but I have enjoyed anything ever ordered from that place. Great find! The only shame is they are only open on weekdays, normal business hours to take advantage of the business park around them. This joint reminds me of a busy deli you would see in new york. They only use the best boars meat around so you get loads of flavor in every bite. I would love if they were open on Saturday! This place is always packed and you have to call in and order around 30min ahead of time. They also deliver! I ordered the Brooklyn bagel with sausage recently and it kills any other place. I had a sandwich and soup. Right off the bat I could tell the sandwich was made with quality ingredients. The soup, well lets just say it was good enough for me. Definitely not made from scratch but hey it was decent. For a small deli close to my office I cant say anything bad. Keep the quality up and I will for sure keep coming back. Give them a try folks...good meats, cheese and bread. I'll be updating this after I eat a few more meals. They could make it a little cheaper but its all good. read more

I'll try this place again because the reviews are great, but I've been here twice and haven't been impressed with the food at all. Mainly the croissants- soggy and flat. My family has been going here for years and years and Hello Deli is always consistent in how amazing their food is! Amazing customer service!! Hardworking people who really care about the quality service and building relationships with their customers. Today I went to Hello Deli for the Corned Beef Sandwich Special (Happy St. Patrick's Day), it was delicious. The meat, with the Swiss cheese and rye bread, warmed up.... so good. I'm checking out the menu and I can't wait to go back and try other, "City Specialties." Hello Deli is located in a business park, w/plenty of parking. There is a lot of seating inside, I can't remember if they had seating outside. I went at 10:00am and there were a few people coming in to pick up their orders, and one of the owners was already taking more orders on the phone. I'm not sure how packed this place becomes at lunch time. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was with all the delicious items on the menu! read more

Despite this place always being crowded at lunch time, the staff memorized my name by my third visit. The staff is incredibly friendly, and more than helpful. The Sandwiches are always on point, but there are plenty of other choices too. They have great soup, fresh salads and plenty of sides to add to your lunch. I'm a big fan of their pasta salad, which reminds me of my Mom's pasta salad, which is hard to beat! This place is geared toward the 9-5 people who work in the area, so keep this in mind when looming at their hours of operation. It may be the only place to eat on the block, but I'm sure glad it's Hello Deli. read more

LADY LIBERTY ON SQUAW. There, I said it. A really good sandwich......and I got the pasta salad to go on the side which was quite tasty. You need local knowledge or a good GPS to find this gem of a deli, which is tucked back into the sea of business industrial buildings. You may ask yourself......"what will he eat next time?" I plan on trying the Brooklyn Bridge. BTW, I took a friend there and we both got sandwiches and Vitamin waters-the bill was $20. Not bad. read more

Wow - great surprise - a really good deli in the middle of an unassuming business park in Vista. Went with some customers (their recommendation) - wasn't expecting much. I ordered the Wall Street (corned beef and sauerkraut sandwich) - really good! Great pickle, too. The mac salad was a bit sweet, but not as sweet as the ladies behind the counter, so I'll give that a pass. Why is this little place in the middle of an industrial park worth stopping by? One word: BACON!! Their BLT is delicious! I love getting it in a wrap and adding avocado and a little turkey. Seriously the best BLT I've had. They do know how to layer the bacon so that you get a mouthful with every bite. Sooo yummy! Beyond the quality meat and mouthwatering BLT, the people that run the deli are so sweet. They quickly learn repeat customers and treat them like family. This is a hidden gem! Being born and raised in NYC I am picky when it comes to bread and sandwich meat. I went around 1pm on a Tuesday and was worried from the reviews on here that I would have a long wait but my sandwiches were ready in under 10 minutes! Tried the Lady Liberty and the Rachel - BIG fan of the Rachel but both were scrumptious. Can't believe this place is only 3 miles from my house and I only found out about it recently. The area is very low key and hidden, all the hallmarks of a great sandwich shop. I stopped in one day while cold calling businesses in the area and I'm glad I did. The prices are a bit on the high side but I didn't feel cheated after eating here. I can go to subway and spend $5 on a footlong and feel like I'm still hungry so what's another $3 for a truly excellent sandwich that will leave me stuffed? I ordered the NY Rachel and to me that sandwich is perfection. It's the quintessential NY deli sandwich. A sandwich so perfect that when other sandwiches die and go to food heaven they are greeted at the gates by the NY Rachel. If you are in the San Marcos/Vista area and love deli sandwiches. Just ok. I've had better deli sandwiches. But it is what it is - a deli with a huge menu serving Boar's head meat. I personally prefer better meat than deli meat. Like a Jewish deli where the corned beef and pastrami are for real. I've eaten here like 20 times since we ordered there a lot at work. The best thing is probably the pub sandwich with roast beef. My new favorite deli!! Seriously, I won't go anywhere else for a sandwich anymore - it's Hello Deli or bust. The sandwich ingredients are all top quality and fresh. Yes, the sandos are expensive, but they are HUGE - I always save the 2nd half for my next day's lunch! My FAVORITE is the Lady Liberty with the works on an onion roll. I practically inhale it every time, that's how good it tastes. I have not tried any of the salad/sides, but they do tempt me on the way in every time. Will have to try one soon! read more

My absolute favorite deli! I've ordered five or six different sandwiches from this place and never had something I dislike. Not only do they have a huge selection you can change anything about any sandwich to make it exactly how you like it. Tons of options for cheeses, breads, meats and condiments. Today I have Lady Liberty which is bacon, turkey, avocado & cheese w/ the works (tomatoes, leaf lettuce, red onions, spicy mustard, mayonnaise). I've got in sourdough bread, with provolone, minus the lettuce and onions. This is a new one for me and it's just as good as all the others I've tried. They have fantastic chili and potato soup as well. They have others I haven't tried and I've never tried one of their sides (supporting roles) but I'm sure they are just as good as the sandwiches. We've had them cater meetings at the office numerous times and their brownies are fantastic! I do recommend calling or faxing in your order ahead of time because they do tend to get extremely busy at lunch time and you can wait up to 30 minutes sometimes if you don't call in. I was in and out in less than three today with my call in order. I'd take away half a star if I could just because they took away the tables out front and I usually love to sit outside and enjoy my meal here. All in all if you work around here you have to try the place out! read more

Someone had to break the 5 star review streak. In short. Good food. Long wait. Crazy overpriced. Yes their sandwiches are good. Real good actually (cept the veggie). But here's the problem. If you get a sandwich,drink and chips your going to pay over ten bucks guaranteed. Maybe twelve. It takes a long arse time to get your food too so call ahead. The last time I was there it took 35 min from the time we got there till we got our food and I have never been back. I'm not saying that you should go to Subway or any of the other horrible chains, it's just that there are other local mom n pop shops that sell a good sandwich for half the price. read more

The sandwich here are mighty tasty, we use to get catering from them at my old job. I've also gone in to get their own custom made sandwiches from their menu and it's good. You get a lot of great selections to the pasta salads also. This is great hidden gem in the business park section of Vista. The only issue I had was I thought the price was a little high. I've been wanting to try his place for quite some time. I live locally and noticed the positive reviews here on Yelp. So as a native NYer, I had to try it out. Here are the positives- the service here is excellent despite being slammed with a line of customers. Jean calls everyone by name and makes you feel welcome. Next the food is fresh. The deli meat is quality and accompanying condiments are yummy. My one suggestion to make the rating go from 3 to 5 stars - I would either take the description "Kaiser roll" off the menu or start offering Kaiser rolls. The Kaiser roll, also called a Vienna roll or a hard roll, is a typically crusty round bread roll, originally from Austria. (Wikipedia). My Lady Liberty was served on a soft bun, like a hamburger roll, that unfortunately fell apart while I was trying to eat my second half. I would still come back but now I know not to get that bread. read more

EVERYTHING on this menu is good. I don't know if its the Boar's Head or what, but these are the best sandwiches I have ever had. Period. My favorite is the "On Broadway". I can't really tell you what's in it except that it tastes like magic. Side note: Watch out for the "Brown Bag It". The mustard is very spicy and with such a tempting name it's tricked me at least a dozen times. If you can't handle the spicy mustard, get it without. read more

Consistently good sandwiches are hard to come by in Vista but this place has it. It's quick to order and always a good value. It's located in an office park and has some outdoor seating as well. Very good sandwiches and they have some type of salad with egg whites, avocado, lettuce and tomatoes which is out of this world. Also when you eat there, they give you fresh fruit as a side which is an added plus. read more

Food is decent but not always consistent. Great menu and service but the deal breaker is 20-25 minute wait almost daily. They cater to local businesses with 1/2 hour - hour lunch. Can't wait 10 minutes to place order then another 25 minutes for food. No restaurant I ever heard of takes this long. Not even 5 star restaurants. Sorry I can't support that. If you are this busy then you can afford to hire more workers. read more

My boyfriend got a new job in vista and we were looking for a quick spot to eat on his lunch break. This place is like a hole in the wall but it's SO GOOD. Took me by surprise. Hello Deli is the premier sandwich shop in North County. We offer Breakfast and Lunch, with delivery starting at 8am. We only use Boars Head premium meats and cheeses, so you know it's good! We deliver throughout Vista and into some parts of Carlsbad and San Marcos, please call to see if we can accomodate you!! Minimum order is $12.00 for delivery and delivery charge is $2.00 for Vista area and $5.50 for San Marcos and Carlsbad (depending on distance). Deliveries are done on a first-come first serve basis. If you need to phone or fax in your order, please get it into us before 9am, this will allow us to expedite orders, making sure that everyone gets their food when they need it!! When the order came out, the order was completely wrong. We took few bites of the sandwiches and left feeling so agitated and frustrated. Additionally, their sushi, smoothie bar and pre-made foods are top notch - they are MILES ahead of any of the "big" grocery stores. So the question is - if they are so great, why do they only have 4 stars on Yelp? One major reason is that they stretch their products. If you don't check the expiration date on every product you purchase, you will end up buying something months after it expired. I purchased a Brie-en-croute on sale for Super Bowl. I was so excited to try it. When I opened the box, the product had mold all over it. I looked at the expiration date and it was not supposed to expire for another week. Then I looked more closely. They had an expiration sticker that was on the box that had already passed, and then they put another sticker on top of that one with a different expiration date. That's not accidental - that's intentional. I definitely felt taken advantage of. Is it enough to make me stop shopping at Frazier Farms? Absolutely not. But, if this grocery outlet wants to improve, they need to look into why so many products on the shelves are expired. I understand not wanting to waste things. But you can't put new stickers on top of old stickers while selling a moldy product. I hope someone in management reads this review, and takes it seriously. I don't have time to go back to Fraziers every time I have to return an expired product. If that changes, I will change this review to 5 stars.

From the get go we could tell the cashier woman was NOT a friendly person, it was like we were annoying her by being in her cafe. Our goal was to work there for the day and eat lunch there as well. There were hardly any other customers in the place the entire time we were there. At about 11:20 the cashier woman came to our table with our original receipt and showed us the time stamp on the receipt and said, "I told you you can only be here for about an hour, this is not the kind of cafe where you can sit and work all day." I said, "It's only 11:20, it's not even lunch time, we planned on ordering lunch here as well." She just walked away and said nothing. We should have left but we were in the middle of working. We did end up ordering food, 2 avocado toast dishes. They made one of them incorrectly and they tasted just OK. We certainly didn't tip her and we certainly will NOT be going back there EVER again. There are other reviewers who feel the same way about this woman, read carefully before you consider giving this place a single penny, she doesn't deserve your business. We are always looking for nice little cafes to work from, she could have gotten 2 new customers for life, instead she gets this review and maybe one day will learn a lesson.
