Brent did a site visit at my home to give me an accurate quote and told me if I need boxes prior to my move, I could pick them up from their warehouse. I did need boxes and Esteban ended up dropping them off to me which was really nice! My move took two days - the first for packing and loading my belongings and the second for moving and unpacking. The three gentlemen who did this for us, Arod, Josh and Gabe were really pleasant and efficient. The two days were long but went smoothly and although it was expensive, I felt like we got what we paid for and had no surprises with the bill at the end!

The positives: the men that did my move were efficient, worked well together, and asked great questions regarding where items should go in the destination home. They had no trouble lifting the items and worked very quickly to get the items loaded and unloaded. However, I am disappointed that we were left with some damage to our furniture, including a nightstand I had just bought recently for our new home. I would've appreciated a heads up that the damage was made, but unfortunately nothing was said. This was realized after the moving team had left, and the damage is pretty obvious, so it's not like it was missed. I called the office regarding this damage and received no response. I immediately called around to see if I could order a quick replacement fridge and haul away, but nothing was less than 2 days out and we didn't want the fridge sitting there in disgust waiting for a new fridge replacement. Thanks to Google one of the options for haul away in our area was Handy Arms Moving Services. I'm so thankful that I chose to call them. He advised they typically have a minimum 2-hour rate but given we just needed a single appliance haul away he would work with us. We're so glad that Jonathan said yes they could help and that he could come immediately.. Seriously.. he jumped in the truck and came immediately to our rescue. Jonathan and his son were extremely nice and professional. They immediately provided their ETA once we provided our address, and they provided another update when 5 minutes away. Right away, I appreciated how upfront and honest they were with their pricing, and I loved that they are a family-owned and operated business. We scheduled our move about a month in advance, and they only required a very reasonable $100 deposit to secure our date. The day before our move, Genevieve called to confirm everything was set. She also let me know that the foreman would call the morning of the move to confirm their exact arrival time, which made the whole process feel very organized and stress-free. On moving day, I was introduced to our team: Richard (the foreman) and movers Aaron and Dylan. I showed them what needed to be moved, and from that point on, they took complete control in the best way possible. They worked efficiently and professionally, and it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. We were initially quoted 5 1/2 hours, but the job was completed in just 4 1/2 hours. Even better, we were only charged for the actual time it took--not the original estimate. That level of honesty is so refreshing. Richard and his team took excellent care of all of our belongings. Everything was wrapped in moving blankets and secured with packing tape, and all items arrived at our new home in the same condition they left our old one. They weren't able to take anything not boxed so I'm still having to move things between apartments after my move like ironing board. I would've liked the upfront notice.
