As for the taste the spicy rose cream udon tasted exactly like Buldak Ramen's Carbonara flavor, and everyone at my table agreed. The garlic bread was nice tho. To be completely honest staff and workers aren't very attentive, the restaurant wasn't full and I could see the workers standing around. Our table had to ask for water multiple times. Other than that however they're very kind.

I made reservations about 4 months in advance. Upon arrival, one of the hostesses opened the door for us, and asked us to wait in a very ornate waiting area. We only waited a couple of minutes before another hostess seated us at the main seating area. The space is very dark, and only lit with candles while the rest of the diners trickled in. During that time they take drink orders, which is limited to sake, wine, beer and a few non-alcoholic drinks. Of note, they don't provide a drink menu, so we were a little surprised by the cost - the yuzu sake and the plum wine were $30 each. My non-alcoholic drink was $12, but a fair size. The theatrical portion started a few minutes later than the official start time - closer to 6pm. The shades lifted, the lights turned on, and the chefs introduced themselves. And from that moment on, they immediately went to work preparing our meal. They operate like clockwork to show the ingredients whole to the diners, and then preparing them, and serving them. Soon as the one dish was completed by all the diners, the next round came shortly after. Over 20+ dishes, there was very little wait time in between each. Each time a dish was served, a hostess was there to describe the dish and provided tips on how best to eat it. The food was overall was very good. I thought a few items were very average, most of them were very good, and a select few were truly outstanding. Most of the ingredients are imported from Japan, so I would imagine that it's part of the reason it's so expensive. This is definitely a splurge meal. I think half the diners at our sitting was celebrating a birthday. On the most part, the food is very good, watching the chefs at work is part of the entertainment, and the service is excellent. It's not some place I could afford to go to often, but glad to do it at least this one time.

Hello Nori in downtown Vancouver is a fantastic Japanese restaurant that specializes in hand rolls. If you're looking for something similar to KazuNori in LA, this is definitely the place to go. I had a great experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious hand rolls. The hand rolls were all made to order and were absolutely delicious. I went to this place and it's a joke.. My girlfriend and I wanted to share some rolls and they wouldn't cut the sushi rolls. I have never heard of a restaurant wouldn't cut food and I asked to have a knife and they wouldn't do that as well..This has to be the worse business practice I have ever seen. Who wouldn't cut food for their customers or provide a knife to do so????????????? I explained to the manager and he agrees with me but the chef will not let him do his job and have customer satisfaction. What a idiot of a chef. FIRE HIM BECAUSE HE WILL RUNE THE RESTAUNT.... And this guy calls his self a chef..... A real sushi would be so disappointed with this guy. So sad.. This is a big fat Zero for a rating. read more

Imagine crispy Nori, warm rice and tender juicy seafood freshly hand rolled and served immediately to you! Tyra my picky daughter said "Wow, sooo good and so fresh!" Her favourites were Ora King Salmon, Hokkaido Scallop and Truffle Lobster. Mine were the last two plus the Unagi And White Peach Juice . We had the best experience here! The sushi chefs, though young, are incredibly skillful. This hand roll bar style lets you pick anything from the menu, and it's prepared right in front of you. I think this restaurant has changed its menu since some of the last Yelp reviews were posted, as I saw some discrepancies in dishes reviewed. For example, the meat skewers dish offers three (3) skewers for $11. (I see a review mentioning only two skewers), and other discrepancies. So if you are considering visiting this place, I recommend you checking out their menu on their website, as some of the reviews here have outdated information. I really liked this place, as did my friends. Highly recommend the hotate (scallop) butteryaki. Perfectly steamed scallops in a light buttery sauce served on a shell with some mushrooms. Aburi king salmon oshi-probably one of the best salmon oshi's I've had. House panna cotta was amazing, creamy and not too sweet. Topped with fresh berries, icy yuzu crunchy thing, and pistachio. A bit on the creamier/softer side than I'm used to, I prefer the bouncier gelatin texture but overall it tastes amazing. Perfect way to end off the meal. Small restaurant, about 6 bar seats and 5ish tables. Definitely need a reservation, they were fully booked and turned away two walk-in groups on Friday night when I went. Clean washroom with a bidet. Amazingly attentive staff as well, takes away the dishes quickly, explained the menu well, checks in on you and promptly refills water. Our server was super nice and helped us order a variety of things she thought would be a good meal. The sushi chef also asked us about our preference and tailored the nigiri to what we wanted. The Chirashi Royale was amazing! The portion size was actually quite big and with all the fatty meats and fish, it was pretty filling. The portions of wagyu, foie gras, and tuna were generous and I had some in every bite. We added uni and caviar which added extra pops of seafood flavor and depth. We also got a bluefin roll and nigiri set and both were delicious. The bluefin roll had different cuts of tuna which all contributed different textures and flavors. The shiso added a nice freshness and the roll itself was quite big. The nigiri combo was amazing. We got pieces of seared fish and fatty cuts which I loved. I also liked that the chef specifically made pieces that we hadn't tried and were different from everything else we ordered.
