I was really glad to see a poke place open in Augusta. This place has nice salmon and rice, although their ahi tuna tasted sweeter than others that I have tried. Their selection of toppings and portion size is decent, and the sauces were quite delicious. You go through the line and they have house designed bowls or you can build a bowl. If you're building you choose your rice, ingredients, poke, sauce, and any toppings like sesame seeds if you want them. Everything looked and tasted fresh. The bowls are around $9-10. I did not have a positive experience here. I was meeting two friends and when I arrived I found that all of the tables only seat two people. There is a "bar" area facing the wall and front window which has more seats, and I noticed the family of four sitting there were not terribly thrilled with that seating either. I ordered the Samurai with brown rice. Apparently, you just are not supposed to order brown rice. The rice was under-cooked. I ended up eating all the salmon out of the bowl and tossing it when it was mostly rice left. If you do try the place anyway, do not order the brown rice. You have been warned. The salmon was fresh, but the only flavor of the bowl came from the spicy aioli sauce. It was not necessarily spicy at all, but it did taste nice. It wasn't enough to bump the rating up a star though. The only drink options they have are bottled water/soda. This is becoming a disturbing trend whereupon you are forced to fork out a wasteful amount of money if you want water or go thirsty. read more

We both did the create-your-own bowl, one with ahi tuna and one with spicy tuna. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get spicy tuna! It was a tough choice between white, brown and sushi rice but I went with sushi and I don't think I'll be able to get anything else. It was so good. Before I put any of the veggies/extras in it they did put a sauce over the rice and while it was sweet, I thought it was perfect with my bowl. I added edamame, corn (kinda boring IMO), cucumber (nice crunch along with the edamame), jalapeños (with the seeds... oh my) and the spicy aioli as my sauce. Then! It's not over with after that! You can pick toppings. I got tempura crunchies and crunchy garlic. It was the perfect combination.
