They delayed service on our food by 40 minutes with only 3 other tables. Though they offer AYCE, I chose a bento instead. We were trying to place an order online, and for some reason I just felt like I needed to call and make sure it I was open since it was 10:30 pm, but, the website said 11:15 for last call orders , when I called she said they were closing, and then I told her online it said 11:15 and then she kind of stuttered and said okay, go ahead and order. Came here for dinner and was very excited until food was served. First bite of eel from the dragon roll was overwhelmingly fishy. Was nervous when I moved onto my bento box and had four pieces of sushi waiting for me who all had an equally fishy smell. I had already eaten the rest of my bento box and waited about ten minutes before we could flag our waitress down. We asked to see the person in charge... waited a few minutes nothing then a server asked if she could help. We explained the situation and only offered to take off the dragon roll. We asked for a discount on the bento box, only asking for fair pricing and the waitress was having to run around because the owner was apparently too good to discuss the food with us. We just wanted a fair exchange or a replacement of the raw fish with something cooked. The owners final ruling from the back room without ever talking with us was only the removal of the dragon roll. Very nice customer service! So much grace and patience was given right until we walked out the door and we practically got told to go kick dirt ourselves a man who couldn't even approach the table. Music playing, great service, fun vibes, and if you want the most bang for your buck, the all-you-can-eat option is the way to go. My wife and I go out for sushi once or twice a month. We have been coming here regularly for the all you can eat special. The service is good. The food is ok. We generally have had a pleasant dining experience. That is until tonight, Near the end of our meal extremely loud music started to play and the lights started flashing on and off. After a few seconds I realized this was their birthday ritual for a diner having a birthday. We found this annoying in the extreme but since we were almost done we were willing to let it lie. And then it happened again the same extremely loud music started to play and again the lights started flashing on and off and again I was extremely annoyed. We just paid the bill and left. On the way out I stopped to make a complaint to the woman at the front desk and was told that this is what they did every time it was a diner's birthday. Translated: It doesn't matter that it annoys you we aren't going to stop. Well, I am going to stop patronizing this restaurant. On Christmas night I drove by with my family and saw it was all lit up and there were people standing outside with the front door to the restaurant open. So I drove home to place my order online. I got a confirmation email back that said the order would be ready in 30 minutes. So I waited and went to the restaurant to pick it up. It was still all lit up and there were 4 men sitting at the table outside eating. But when I said I was there to pick up my order they said the restaurant isn't open. They told me I must have ordered from a different sushi restaurant. I pulled up my email to show the confirmation. They claimed it could not have been confirmed because the restaurant is not open. We debated for a few minutes and I expressed my frustration and that I would need to put a review online so others would know what happened to my family on Christmas night. I had no food to take back to my children. At that point, one of the men said, "It's not our fault. It is the fault of the management company who runs our website. You aren't the first person to come tonight with this problem." So after debating and debating with me and claiming it could not have been confirmed by their website, he ultimately admitted that it had been happening that night to other customers. I am not the first person to have a review explaining a problem with an online order. How can their site say my order is confirmed and ready for pickup in 30 minutes.... only to find out it is closed? And secondly, why is the restaurant front door open with men sitting outside eating if the restaurant is closed? I will never go back. ***UPDATE*** I have since revisited Hello sushi twice since my last review for a total of 5 trips here. Most issues still remained, minus one trip there which was perfect, and i'll explain.... One of the young chefs behind the bar was clanking a big sake bottle with customers and pouring shots all over for people. You could tell he was on a good one. He took the blowtorch at one point (used for searing fish) and was waving it around on full blast just after a birthday song (full disco lighting effect and 5 minute Asian song) had played. At one point, the boss took him aside and was yelling at him pretty profusely. He pointed towards the door, we assumed sending the chef home, and he walked out. I was kind of bummed for him to be gone as he was the pillar of entertainment for the evening. My girlfriend and I finished up and paid our bill. (service and food was good and fresh this night as well). On the way to our car in the corner of the parking lot, we spotted a dark figure near our car in the bushes. As we got closer, we saw it was the chef, sitting in the parking lot with his head in his lap, sick as a dog! I asked if he was good and if he got in trouble from his boss. He then stood up after a few wobbles, still wearing his white food prepping glove and said "of course I got in trouble from my boss mannnnn" in the thickest Asian accent. He stumbled over towards the front entrance. I don't know what happened with him after that, but I don't want to know because it would ruin the magic. I'm bumping my rating up to 4 stars for the fun chef later found puking by our car in the parking lot, cursing his boss. He also brings us special rolls that we must try out. All you can eat is definitely worth it. I feel like the only time I eat sushi is if it is all you can eat. More for your money. Only little complaint is the fact that they tend to stretch the wait time in between rounds causing us to get full on air and water. Aside from that, the sushi to rice ratio is fairly decent. Best to start of your meal with that and a couple hand rolls. Work on the heavier and deep fried rolls after you're warmed up on sushi. And leave the 3rd round open for some defensive work. Service was crappy, food was fine (but nothing special) Strike 1... Miso soup wasn't given to us until after the meal was already finished. Strike 2... Ordered the hamachi collar, it was never served. Strike 3... Hamachi collar was still on the bill. Questioned the server about this, as it was never served. She then asked if I still wanted it, told her no, as everyone else at the table had already finished eating. Another older lady came by and said that it takes 20min, explained to her that we had ordered 50min prior, and clearly they forgot to make it and I had no intention on waiting another 20min to eat it while everyone else watched me. Finally the new bill was delivered without the hamachi collar on it. Never had an apology from either the server or the 2nd lady who involved herself in the situation. I'm a big fan of sushi. Anytime it's my choice or when I insist, I will always pick sushi over Mexican (my hubby's choice). There's only so much salsa you can have in your lifetime! When we first arrived at 7pm on a Friday night, I was almost tempted to leave. The parking lot was PACKED and my husband said it will take forever. I figured that if it's that busy, they must be good! I'll wait. I might pass out or die while we are waiting but it's a chance I'll take for good sushi (: Yup, every table was taken. They asked us to please wait 5 minutes. I didn't see anyone leave but they called us pretty quickly. The selection of sushi rolls were AMAZING and creative. I was very excited by the diversity of choices. We ordered quickly because it was busy and we knew we had a long wait ahead of us. Not kidding...THREE MINUTES later, a waiter came with a plate full of fancy rolls. My husband said, "No, that's not ours. We just ordered." The waiter looked at his slip, called off what he was delivering and confirmed that it was ours. I snatched the plate from him and told my husband to shut up! It was ours. I have mixed feelings. The AYCE is good and the owner is friendly, but the service is HORRIBLE - especially when they approach closing time. I rarely go to any restaurant close to closing hours because I hate being THAT guy / group that's holding everyone up from going home. However, Hello Sushi makes it very clear that they are closing and wants you out NOW. 15 minutes to closing time, my friend and I were finishing our last roll. The waitress approaches our table and says, "We are closing. Here is your bill. Can you pay now?" I smiled and paid immediately. After paying, my friend and I were harassed about 3 more times regarding payment from about 3 different servers. We respectfully responded, "We are all paid up. Now may we finish our food?" What happens next actually makes me smile because I still can't believe it happened. As we are trying to finish our last roll, one of their "cleaners" walks up to our table, takes our waters, starts wiping down our table and begins removing our plates. As she has our plates in her hands, she asks, "Are you finished?" I chuckle and say, "I guess I am now." I understand that most people leave bad reviews on Yelp! after a bad experience. But, I would like to make it clear that I actually enjoy this place. I come here often. I just hope that their owners will read this and retrain their employees on appropriate meal time mannerisms. Overall, I would recommend this place if you need a local AYCE fix and arrive early. Stay away from within an hour of their closing time. I LOVE sushi, and when I go for sushi, Hello is 8/10 times the place I will choose. Well, now it is 10/10 I will never be coming back here again. Usually they are great with all you can eat but tonight was just incredibly terrible. We had a group of 15 coming in for a birthday party. Mind you, we had made reservations before coming in and they tell us there will also be another big group. Understandable. We already are expecting our wait to be longer for such a big group including a separate group. We got there at 6:30 and didn't leave till 9:30.... There were only two people waiting and I felt bad for them because it seemed like a busy night. Our waitress was very nice, but at most times we felt very ignored. Out of 3 hours, she did not ask us once for refills on our waters. We were also told that our whole table could only use one paper for all you can eat. I have had AYCE many times with big groups and we have always used 2 papers to fill our orders. It took someone else to ask her again till she gave us a second paper and we split the tables to make it easier. Slowly the food starts to come out about 2-3 rolls at a time, all from one sheet of paper though. I felt bad getting one group's food before the other. We are sitting finished for about an hour until one of our friends has to leave because time was crunched. I thought, "okay, it's just busy. I work in service, I get it." Our waitress checks on us again and we tell her that we are still missing quite a few items. They bring about 3 more of our rolls. Another 40 minutes goes by...we get her attention and tell the waitress we are STILL waiting on our round 1 appetizers (4 different apps) and 3 more rolls. She's says okay and we say "you know what, may we get the paper and cross out everything we got to make it easier?" We do that and we STILL do not get our items. It is 9:30 now and we haven't even gotten all of our round 1.... We did sing happy birthday to our friend Paige though which was fun and def took the edge off. (I am sorry this had to happen on your bday, let's make it up else where please). After that though, we were just over it and it's like dang, where is the check?? It took a few of us to get up and finally just ask for the check. Like what's up with the service tonight? After we explained everything to the staff, we felt we should not pay the full $26 for not even 1 round. We had to tell our waitress 3 TIMES that we still do not have all of our food. After trying to talk to the staff, they said they could take out the surcharge. That's it. We asked if we could AT LEAST take out one meal for our friend's birthday to compensate and they said no. Out of 15 people and they just couldn't take off one meal. That was soooo disappointing. This experience was just weird and unlike any other service experience I have ever had. It honestly sucked and was such bullshit. They didn't get any tips from us and I won't ever be coming back, unfortunately. I left still hungry...and that never happens with AYCE. Sucks. I have never been to an all you can eat place that had this large of a variety of choices to choose from. Huge selections of raw rolls, cooked rolls, and tempera rolls. My friends and I used to go here often. We enjoyed the Three Item Bento Box. We even sat in one of the rice paper rooms for a birthday celebration. Sadly, it has lost its place as a 'destination' restaurant. The three item bento is gone. At our last trip, it took us three visits by the waiter to finally figure out what we would 'settle' for, and I mean settle. It just doesn't have the appeal it used to. We offered to write out our orders on a piece of paper if that would be more convenient for them and he acted like a complete jerk. I ordered a bento which included beef teriyaki, white rice, crunch roll, salad, miso soup, and ginger and wasabi on the side. The beef teriyaki had absolutely no flavor at all. The crunch roll was mediocre. The salad was ok not that great but oh well. Some other family members ordered rolls and the portions were so small they were not too pleased. Third they have an 18% gratuity fee? Wow and the food wasn't that great. Shout out to the older man and woman that helped serve us they were definitely very welcoming aside from the fact that the food sucked. Fish to rice ratio was average at best, but mostly overloaded on rice. The variety of rolls is really the same base roll with the same sauce and maybe different fish on top. The sauces overpower anything else they have to offer. While the fish doesn't have a fishy scent, it is definitely not fresh like others have claimed. The nigiri wasn't impressive, same issues with fish texture, color and proportions. They don't have red snapper either. Ambience - nothing special about it, but my goodness the tables are close together. Noise level average to high. They do have these little tea rooms off to the side, but they don't get used! Servers - friendly enough albeit a bit on the slow side. It wasn't busy when we went in so there shouldn't be plates stacking on our small table. Service itself was average Price- 25$ for ayce. Which seems normal, except the selection is pretty limited and they even limit what you can order. Pretty sure ayce means something other than what they have in mind. Usually ayce is 3 rounds. They only offer 2. If you're looking for a good sushi place, I'd give this one a pass. The Korean food smelled good, so if anything, give their lunch specials a try. read more

Went with a friend for the All You Can Eat (AYCE) Sushi and it was so good. I really enjoyed the sushi rolls and sushi pieces. The staff was nice and quiet. When we put our first round in they asked if we were sure we wanted to order all that, we were and we ordered more in the second round. It was my first time and I'll be back. The price was $25 for AYCE sushi. You have to try their orange blossom and rose blossom, there's no rice and you can only order 1 order with AYCE but totally worth it. read more
