After the cancelled appointment (that they confirmed) I got the call stating it was my fault. I then sent an email as they requested with all of the correspondence and they sent an email back saying "feel free to call" for what? To be told I am wrong again... If there were zero stars, I would have chosen it. First, HelloTech arbitrarily moved an appointment by 3 days without telling me (so when I call them on what I thought was the right day to find out where the technician is, this was the first I heard about a change) Come the day of the new appointment, the technician texted me an hour or so before saying he had only been assigned the job the previous day and now couldnt make it - he offered the following day, and also offered to do it outside of HelloTech so he could get paid directly. I didnt take him up on that offer - but did agree he could come the next day at noon. A short whole before noon the next day he texted to say he was now running late and couldnt make it. I agreed to reschedule. I have since rescheduled 3 more times and on each occasion HelloTech have cancelled on the day - today was the most recent. I called to cancel them - they are utterly useless and frankly uncaring about how I was treated. I can find better services out there, Im sure. Now its GoodbyeTech. read more

The technician who arrived seemed to be on something. He was shaken, sweating profusely and after 4 hours had only installed 3 door sensors, 2 motion sensors, which are all double sided tape installation. I have 4 indoor camera's and 4 outdoor cameras (he broke 1 of the mounts). None of the cameras, nor the sirens, smoke detectors, keypads were installed. But HelloTech was quick to charge me 158.00 even though he literally didn't do anything! I've contacted HelloTech and my complaint was escalated, then today the message from escalation team was "in order to assist you better can you please specify more on the issue", really my complaint was very specific. Currently my advice would be "stay as far away as you can" from this company. Hired them to install a TV mount in a room. The tech cut holes in the wall and left the room with litter and dust everywhere. See attached photos as no other words are needed. Currently filed a claim with them on their website, but they are non responsive. Not worth the time to fight them legally, but disaster was the results. Well, I purchased a Nest Outdoor camera. HelloTech was contacted to schedule an appointment. That was a bit of a challenge, but everyone was friendly and supportive. I think the biggest qualm I have with this business is I wasn't expecting a young 20 year old in a two-door/four door car. I was expecting a solid maintenance person with a tall ladder, tools and the works etc. Anyway, the person was not equipped to do the install and it was a farse. he wasn't able to drill in my stucco wall to have the wire to go inside the house/garage. The tech showed up without a ladder even though this job probably requires going into the attic. Ok, no big deal. Then the tech can't figure out how to install my Nest Thermostat. That's not the worse thing. He rewired my system to wear it only blows hot air all of the time no matter what the setting is on the thermostat. He said that he didn't know how to fix it and that I should call an HVAC tech. He said that he wouldn't charge me for the service call. Oh, thanks! I have been trying to resolve network and home wifi issues for the past two years. I have tried solving the problems myself to no avail. I had streaming problems with Apple TV, and connectivity issues with wifi devices such as laptops, phones and smart home sensors. I wish I would have called these folks earlier. Jim was my tech and contacted me prior to the appointment. I explained by situation and he offered a couple possible solutions. He arrived with equipment that could solve my problem and quickly went to work. It took several hours but a new network was established with a powerful router and extender operating on a tri-band system. I now have excellent coverage throughout my house and on both floors, and I can again stream Apple TV wirelessly and have no issues. Awesome service. I highly recommend HelloTech. read more

The tech who came out initially appeared to know his stuff but explained nothing. Afterward had issues so I called HelloTech back. They were prompt which demonstrates customer focus. This review was initially written to Hello tech company directly after services were completed on 2/3/21. My interaction with Tyler D was positive and professional. He was very knowledgeable and quickly set up our small system. However I am very unpleased with my initial scheduled appointment for earlier on Wednesday, February 3. I had an appointment scheduled since January 16 for February 3 at 12 PM. However at approximately 11:15 AM on February 3 I was notified my technician is just "not coming." I was notified via text message, no phone call. I had to contact your company over the phone to figure out why my technician was just "not coming now." I thought it was very unprofessional to flake on a scheduled appointment that I've had for two weeks, and give me notice 45 minutes before my actual appointment time. After being on the phone for over 15 minutes I still never found out what was going on with the technician and was told they would "try" to get somebody out there the same day. I demanded that someone come out and install the system, like I had scheduled for your company to do originally. My time is just as important as your company's time and therefore I did not feel that was the correct way to handle business. I am unsure if this is a common practice where your technicians just all of a sudden "can't come" and cancel customers appointments 45 minutes before their scheduled. However I would like to make a complaint against this technician for this occurrence because it's not OK and that's not professional. Unfortunately I had to be very stern on the phone and get my point across that I drove over an hour to get this scheduled appointment and have my equipment set up. Customer should not have to make a big deal in order to get the services that they were promised. Thankfully Tyler D showed up on time and was professional. He is the only thing that saved your company from me writing a review about services. I still simply don't understand what the issue was and was never told why my appointment just randomly got canceled 45 minutes prior. He arrived a little early but cleared it with me before just showing up which I appreciate. He installed my Ring 2 device for my doorbell and found the best angle it could achieve. I was having problems getting zone 2 to work so called HelloTech for help. They sent a young man out and to his credit he spent 3 hours trying to get it figured out. Never did. He suggested starting over with a new installation on another day. So I rescheduled. Got a confirmation for an appointment. They never showed and never called. We Called and scheduled another Appointment which we scheduled. Again they did not show. Called me the following day wanting to know if i still want installation.
