I needed help moving my music files and pics from an old pc that was starting to crash to a new pc. I tried everything myself with my limited tech skills, but had to admit defeat. I looked for the only mobile tech support I knew online, and found Geekatoo as a less expensive alternative. My appointment was handled online, using a Chat service. LOVE that. I was told a Tech would call/contact me, and that happened in a few hours. We arranged a convenient time, and all details were confirmed via e-mail. I decided to pay after the service was performed, since I'm wary of scams. There weren't many reviews of Geekatoo, so I wasn't taking any chances. Their website says you don't pay until the service is completed to your satisfactions, which seems more than reasonable. Jeff arrived on time. I explained my problem as best I could. Jeff had a power cable for my old computer, which was fortunate as I'd thrown mine away when it got replaced. He started moving files, and the whole process was a little complicated because my old computer was having problems. Jeff was patient, and explained things while I watched. He's like a patient teacher, using simple terms that I could understand. The whole process took about 2 hours. I was getting nervous because I thought it would be fast, and considering what I paid, I thought Jeff would be getting impatient. But he said he'd planned on at least 2 hours, and that even if it took more time, that was fine. In fact, while files were downloading, he set up my Bose music library, and looked at a tv remote that wasn't quite right - nice! I provided payment myself via e-mail when all was done. Jeff never asked for my credit card info, he just had to ensure that I'd gotten my statement and made a payment. Geekatoo has service plans, which they offered at a great price. I considered it, since it would significantly lower the cost of this service visit. In the end, I decided to try just one visit first and hopefully manage the rest of my tech problems myself. Friendly? Yes. Easy to reach? Yes. Knowledgeable? Not so much. My Ring doorbell needed to be charged before it could be installed so he left without installing it. I told him I would do the rest once it was charged. A "knowledgeable" Tech would've informed the customer to ensure it was fully charged before arriving. He also didn't come equipped with the proper tools for the job. Luckily, I had what he needed. I should've been provided a discount for lack of completeness and preparedness on the part of the Tech. I will not recommend or utilize this service in the future. read more

This company is they are the worst, they rescheduled two times and never called or did anything, Ugh! They say they are better than Geek Squad. Well Geek Squad is more expensive but in this case you get what you pay for. The Geekatoo business structure is just a call service for independent tech guys... who knows if they are even certified. I am thrilled with the excellent service I received from Geekatoo. Since I am in the SEO web design business, I've always had a powerful desktop computer. My two year old computer I purchased from Dell began to act really sluggish to the point it would take over 2 minutes just to open a browser window. I've got all the fancy antivirus and malware software on my computer and have done my own tuneups for over 15 years. When I couldn't get better results with my computer, I contact Dell tech support and paid them a lot of money to fix my computer. Basically, all I got from Dell was a tuneup, which I didn't need as that was not the problem with my computer. I even bought more Ram, which still did not improve the computer's performance. So I contacted Geekatoo and right away I had a tech on the phone ready to figure out the problem. So the tech remotely worked on my computer an entire day, however the sluggishness was still there. They stayed in contact with me throughout the day giving me updates on what was being done on my computer. The next day, which was a Sunday, a tech was working on my computer at 6:30am. When the problem wasn't fixed, the support was escalated to a higher-up tech support. Finally, they figured out the problem and fixed it! Then I was contacted via text messaging and a phone call asking if there was anything else I needed and if I was satisfied with the way my computer performing. I'll tell ya, my computer was back to being the Thoroughbred race horse that I had spent a lot of money on. The tech told me to continue using my computer and they would contact me the following day just to make sure everything was still working properly, which of course it was. I would definitely use Geekatoo again and I appreciate their fantastic customer service and extremely nice tech support. read more
