Well, I saw the greenbelt and decided to walk it but didn't know where to park. So I found this park with plenty of residential parking. This is the start of the greenbelt, or end if you're coming the opposite way. Cute park with a jungle gym, benches and trash cans nearby. The only downside is the electrical tower but those are necessary to power a city! And another great benefit is the extra walking on the greenbelt if you feel like taking a long walk. I love parking near here in the early AM and doing a quick walk up and down the greenbelt. I've gone past Ellis before but usually turn around before crossing Ellis Ave. One note, one pre-sunrise, I did get here and saw a raccoon and coyote, same morning! So I ended up driving away. The coyote was rummaging the trees and when it saw my car, stopped and stared. The coyote was also rummaging but had something dangling from its mouth. So just be aware of your surroundings, as always. I'm sure they won't harm us but it is their land. Get up and take a walk.

This park always has a nice crowd - children playing on the playground, dogs playing fetch on the…read morefield, roller skaters practicing on the basketball court, friends playing soccer or football in the grass. The equipment is great for swinging, sliding, and climbing. It's in good condition and is generally clean (no obvious signs of damage, graffiti, etc). The park is sandwiched between an apartment complex and neighborhood, so it has a safe residential feel with free, open street parking. There are a lot of bees in the grass, so be careful with that. The picnic area is covered, but it would be nice if there were shaded play areas too.

There is no shade of you sit in the stands, but if you bring a pop up, you can easily set it up over the bleachers, plus there's room for your chairs. The one thing that needs improvement is the women's restroom. There were only 3 stalls, so there was always a line. And in spite of a city maintenance vehicle being parked right outside of it, the RR was always dirty, no toilet paper in every stall, no paper towels or dryer, the floors were always wet and there were no seat covers. Plus, it had a tight walking area, so you had to come close to whoever was in line next.

My pup and I explored this park after grabbing a quick lunch from Fermentation Farm. Vista Park sits on a hill overseeing the coastline of Huntington Beach and offers some jaw dropping views - especially at sunset! Since the park isn't coastal, you don't have to deal with the hustle and bustle of beach goers. Instead, Vista is relatively quiet, and offers a loop walking path that's perfect for joggers and dog walks. The park also has a number of picnic tables, bathrooms and a play area. There's a good size parking lot with 10-or-so spots for your convenience. If this gets full you can also park across the street at the nearby shopping center. Large trees and beautiful views, what more could you ask for? I highly recommend grabbing a picnic basket and enjoying a day outside at Vista Park!

However the ground has a bunch of holes that need to be fixed. Other than that, this park is very fun and I would recommend coming. Parking isn't bad.
