Their beer menu was pretty small considering the fact that they had more empty slots on tap than actually drinks they had available. This place is Amazing! The ambiance is unbelievable. It's so big and the outside patio is like a luxury lounge. The food is excellent. I have never had a better steak in my life. I had the ribeye wagyu and could cut it easily with a fork. The Brussels sprouts were the best I've ever had. The cocktails were fancy and delicious. I had the Mexican HBomb and a pear pressure and they were both delicious. Allison was the bartender and she was awesome. Very friendly and attentive and even sent Dan Henderson over to say hello. Hendos Barrel House was amazing. My group of 4 was hungry and HBH was close, so we gave it a try. What a surprise and good fortune. When you walk in, you immediately see a small store area, and a huge gym complete with a MMA octagon. What the heck? Well, our server explained the nature of the restaurant, bar, and gym, along with the namesake Hendo. It was quite interesting. First, I want to call out our server. Tia was phenomenal, that is, everything one can want in a server and more. Tia knew the menu, answered questions, and made suggestions that really optimized our late lunch experience. Tia was the model server, and HBH is fortunate to have her in their employ. Second, the food. The food was outstanding. I had the Fig and Prosciutto Flat Bread, and it was amazing and quite filling. As an appetizer, we shared the Truffle Mac and Cheese, which was a huge serving and easily shared among the four of us. Another guest had the Cobb Salad, and it was huge and really spectacular on the plate. Two guests had the loaded baked potato, and they came with all the items for loading on the side, which was an appreciated feature. BTW, this is a cashless facility, some come prepared to pay with exact change or use a credit card. We arrived and asked if we could sit on the patio--they said yes. We walked over to a large table and waited for someone to approach us. After a while with no one acknowledging us, we finally stood up to get someone's attention so we could place our order. We only ordered two drinks, yet after multiple times asking different waitresses, our drinks didn't arrive until 30 minutes later. What made it worse? The owner was sitting out on the patio the whole time and clearly saw what was happening. This place seriously needs to improve their service. We ordered pork belly app, and we both got filet mignon med. rare, the food took forever !! We got our app out looked like they sprinkled pork belly and covered the rest in pickled onions and greens also put sauce in the bowl to fill it out, it was laughable how little pork belly was in there. Out filets came out my husbands filet came to a point looked like the end of the tri tip and was completely grey over cooked!!! Mine came out looked like a strip with fat removed. I asked the expo if it was a filet and asked him to ask the chef, he comes back and said yes the chef said it was a filet.... I called a second server because I couldn't find ours she takes my plate and comes back with my "filet" folded in two and she says oh they some times butterfly so it cooks faster. Like wtf who butterflies a filet minion mind you it was $48 no sides and what type of passsive aggressive move is folding over the steak it didn't even make sense if it was butterflied. I have worked in BOH for years this was bullshit. Finally our waiter came around I explained what was going on, he spoke with manager and the manager offered a new fire I declined by this time I was over the lies of what they are serving . Great time at Hendos facility is awesome and really sets the tone. Had a ribeye steak upon recommendation of my server Jessica D. which was excellent. I normally dont order steak when. I go out because I grill a lot at home ..but glad I did because it did not disappoint. Was pretty busy but didnt feel cramped because the place is bigger than it looks from the outside. We had a very disappointing experience at Hendo's Barrel on Valentine's Day. The entire operation was completely unorganized. We waited over an hour and a half just to be seated and eventually gave up and left -- along with several other patrons who were also frustrated and walking out. The woman at the front greeting guests was extremely rude and dismissive, which only made the experience worse. However, I do want to give credit where it's due -- Kevin, our server, was great and one of the few bright spots in an otherwise terrible experience. Valentine's Day is busy -- that's expected -- but poor organization, lack of communication, and rude staff are not acceptable. Really wanted to like this place but what a shame. Came for Valentine's Day and was shocked at how underprepared they were. To start, we had a reservation and still had to wait 45min to be seated. Best part, the hostess was wearing house slippers. HOUSE SLIPPERS, what the literal hell? Send her home, wow how trashy. Moving on....when said Hostess sat you down, she then explained they are only doing the 3 course and 5 course option and runs away. What the what? How do you not tell that to your guests ahead of time? Nothing was explained that their regular menu wasn't being served but only a 3 course and 5 course option. That wasn't even the worst part, then when the waiter comes, he further explains that they are only offering the 5 course meal! Just shut your doors at this point. Holy moly! People were walking out left and right. That should have been our cue... Then they can't even bring the courses out as they should, we got salad....then waited 45min to get soup, an app and our main ALL AT THE SAME TIME. I was beyond pissed at this point. Not only that but the food was COLD. I wish I had a picture of the chocolate lava cake, it was literally a triangle brownie bite with melted ice cream. Pathetic. For $185, poor service (when they bring you water, they pour so much excess and leave it all on the hardwood so that everyone can walk in it - NOBODY wiped the puddle for over 2hours!!! We had to do it ourselves so we wouldn't slip when going to the bathroom) and on that note, only got ONE glass of water the entire night. They would run out by the time they got to our table and never start back with a fresh pitcher! Insane!! Servers seemed like it was their first job and everyone seemed scared. For a 5 course dinner, this was the WORST experience of my LIFE. For a couple who haven't had a date night in years, this really pissed us off. Came to visit Hendos for my birthday. This place is amazing. Has a good vibe. Took a tour of the Training area a.k.a. the gym. The merch is on point. The drinks are good. The food is amazing. But the only thing is Service . It is something that that needs a lot of work. We came in and said it was about 45 minutes to an hour. We gave them benefit of the doubt but after 90 minutes, we still weren't seated. To be honest, we had a party of 6 to 8 I think they forgot about us. We ended up being seated upstairs. But the wait time is horrible. Next time I will go when it's not as busy. Because when it's busy you get lost in the shuffle. Thank you. read more

I looked outside and saw people singing along dancing to the bunny dude and inside were watching country artists who haven't had a hit song in ages. I was excited when Hando's opened up. I wanted to get the Cesar salad. It's described as . "Crisp romaine tossed in creamy Caesar dressing, topped with shaved Parmesan, garlic croutons, and anchovies upon request". It is NOT TOSSED. It's a handful of large romaine lettuce leaves. Each bite I took had to be cut. I don't know why they call it tossed when it's not. I also ordered the Loaded Steak Fries. Described as. Crispy fries topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, scallions, and ranch dressing. They were NOT crispy. It was served with NO scallions and NO ranch dressing. We went on opening day and expected delays. We sat outside which we were fine with since the wait for inside was over an hour. We waited about 30 minutes for our drinks and just to order which was frustrating. We had to flag down the server because we were never acknowledged. The burger and short rib grilled cheese were good and so were the drinks. The fries were ok, they need to be crispier. If they were great fries the whole meal would have been a home run. We are looking forward to going back and trying more. Hoping sitting inside and letting the restaurant settle a bit will allow for better and quicker service. read more

I don't love leaving 1 star reviews, but my husband and I were very disappointed and underwhelmed. My husband and I visited on a Sunday about two weeks ago. When we arrived, the restaurant had maybe 10 or so tables full with a few more customers at the bar. Our server came in a timely manner and she was very kind. That's where my compliments end. The menu was filled with basics that I would categorize at typical bar/pub food, with some "nicer" options like various steaks. There's nothing wrong with basic bar food; my husband and I love a good burger, nacho, sandwich, etc. But, we of course expect it to be executed decently and with flavor (even just proper salt and pepper). The food here was prepared far from decent, unfortunately. For appetizer, we got the calamari. It was just meh, nothing to write home about. I ordered the chicken club which is quite basic. Every aspect of this sandwich was awful. I don't like to complain so I just tried to eat it, but I just couldn't finish it. The bread was mushy and soggy from the insane amount of sauce. I would be less opposed if the sauce was yummy and flavorful, but this sauce was flavorless. The chicken had zero flavor. In typical chicken clubs chicken breast is used. This sandwich was made with thigh and the meat honestly just tasted poor quality. The sandwich was poorly constructed and just squished all over the place which made it very unappetizing. To add, my side of truffle fries were just sad. They weren't crunchy and did not taste fresh, and they had an unappealing artificial truffle oil flavor. I usually take so many food pictures, but didn't take a picture of my food because it looked unappealing. My husband ordered their nachos which had their own twist. We love unique twists on food, but this was just awful. They used potato chips instead of tortilla chips, which would be fine if they weren't so THICK. My husband substituted cheddar cheese for the blue cheese sauce. He got tiny shards of grated cheddar (which fine, we'll take the blame because it was a substitution). The steak on the nachos was cut in giant chunks and had so much greasy fat. The dish was just plain awful and honestly was presented in a way that was not appetizing. This could be a cool place, but it just feels like a MMA gym with an afterthought of a restaurant. It was also incredibly overpriced. Overall, we were disappointed and will not be back. read more

Valentine's Day Reservation We had a 5:30 PM reservation for Valentine's Day. Upon checking in, the experience immediately felt disorganized--the host stand seemed unprepared for our arrival and told us they would "figure out where to seat us," as if they were already at full capacity despite our reservation. After waiting, we were seated outside without ever being asked for our seating preference. There appeared to be ample indoor seating available, making the decision to seat us outdoors--especially on a cold evening--both confusing and frustrating. A busser did turn on the outdoor heater, but the flame was set excessively high. With the wind, the flames were blowing directly onto our table and even our plates, making it uncomfortable to eat. Although it was later adjusted, it did little to improve the overall temperature. My date was dressed for an indoor, temperature-controlled setting, which is what we reasonably expected when booking a Valentine's Day reservation. The service timing was also unacceptable. Our first course, a salad, took about 20 minutes to arrive, and our main entrée did not arrive until around 7:00 PM--over an hour after we were seated and approximately 40-50 minutes after the salad. For a fixed three-course Valentine's menu, this level of delay is unreasonable and reflects poor planning and execution. When the entrée did arrive, the mashed potatoes were cold--not even warm--which further detracted from the overall experience. Because we had a 7:30 PM movie to attend, we requested the check and asked for dessert to go. Even then, service remained slow. After waiting another 10 minutes, we ultimately had to go to the host stand ourselves to have our desserts packaged so we wouldn't be late. This was my second visit. While the food has been good, my previous experience also involved significant delays, suggesting this is an ongoing issue. Spending $150+ for a Valentine's Day dinner and not receiving our main course until 7:00 PM--along with receiving food that was not served at proper temperature--is unacceptable. Between the lack of organization, failure to accommodate reasonable seating expectations, and excessive wait times, this experience fell well below expectations for a special occasion. read more

We were seated and it took a long time to be acknowledged for drinks. The music was great it was live. They were so backed up that they brought the salad before the soup. We were there three hrs and only ate soup and salad. They brought us the first entrees cold. They felt it was ok to serve cold food. After that I requested the waiter and the bill. Waiter Kevin was nice though, I felt bad for him because management and the kitchen staff failed him. It took awhile to even get drinks from the bar. I will not be returning here. We have been here a few times over the past few months. The usual atmosphere is great. Food is good, but the steaks need more flavor. I always have to add salt and pepper to them. The drinks are pretty good and the butter toffee cake is delicious. Also, they rolled out a new extended menu. I like having more options and the fact that the steaks now come with sides is great! The next few details are things I've observed from multiple experiences here.. The hostesses talk to each other a lot and need to be a bit more attentive to guests walking in and out. The phones never seem to work either. I have called countless times trying to book reservations for work lunches and can't ever get ahold of anyone which can be very frustrating. Andrew at the bar is great. Super nice guy and makes great drinks. Each time we have seen him he's always hustling and is still very attentive to guests at the bar. NYE was fun but the DJ and his MC were horrible. I have been here one other time when these two were playing and it was horrible as well. Music reminded me of 2010 high school homecoming music.
