    Seat bolster tear repair
    Megan C.

I had heard a great word of mouth review about Henry Auto from a friend who had a leather repair done on his car. On a whim, I called Mr. Henry, and he was able to work on my car right away. I had him address two small tears on the driver seat of my VW R32, and some repairs to the door panel. Not only did he do the work while I waited and finished up in under an hour, Mr. Henry is a really friendly guy and great to chat with. He also has three friendly dogs (poodle mixes) at his shop that you can hang with! The shop is a bit tough to find; it's the last door in the row of buildings, but if you get lost like I did, call Mr. Henry and he will come outside and direct you to the shop. Note that this place isn't fancy. Don't be looking for plush customer amenities while you wait. It's like going to your uncle's cousin's garage and having some work done on your car. tl;dr - Mr. Henry does great work for a very reasonable price. He and his dogs are friendly. Shop isn't fancy but he does honest work. Call him if you get lost finding his place.

    Dog Damaged Car Seat

My dog ruined the back seat of my SUV. Henry's handiwork made it look like new. Proof is in the photo! Easy to work with. Prices are reasonable. He provided multiple options and price points - allowing me to think about it and go back several days later. Repairs took a week. Courteous and friendly.

Terrific work for a reasonable price. Was even able to change the upholstery on doors when another company said they couldn't do it.

I needed it repaired quickly and it took over a week, which I can forgive, but what I cannot get past is that they did not do the repairs they charged me for. They claimed they replaced several items including heating hoses and the thermostat housing, but not long after I started having problems with the system again. I was able to take it to my longtime mechanic for that (out of state, otherwise I would have gone there in the first place), and they found the components had not been replaced at all. Nearly $1000 worth of "repairs," and largely wasted. (Not to mention the additional several thousands' worth they tried to upsell me on, but luckily I wasn't that stupid.) Awful business. I'd sue if only I'd been a bit better about record-keeping. Whatever you do, do not make the same mistake i did - take your car anywhere else rather than dealing with these crooks.

Mistakes happen, so I came back and asked to redo the alignment, showed them their own sheet and said the wheel was crooked after the alignment. They said (1) they don't do rear alignments on Toyotas (???), (2) the car has unspecified issues that don't allow it to be aligned, (3) they would need additional payment to do the steering wheel correction. When I pressed them on what the issues were, they refused to commit to anything. Nothing was written down. Truly baffling that these people are running a real shop. I asked to talk to the alignment tech and they said he can't speak English. So how can he understand anything? Is he just guessing? I'm willing to bet they don't have anyone trained and that they're just winging it on each alignment. I talked to Rose and Arbor (blond ponytail man). They kept pushing for more money, and they said I already got an alignment so I shouldn't be greedy. Very rude while I spoke very politely. I went to Midas down the street and they fixed it. No issues with the car were identified, perfect alignment, 45 minutes. The before measurements (after Firestone's alignment) were way off. Extremely unprofessional. Go here if you want your car to go 4 different directions while driving straight!
