We have experienced nothing but mediocre service at your dealership. Our service provider is always just short of rude and he puts forth an attitude of not enjoying his position. During our most recent service, there were no loaner vehicles available and we had to wait until close to 5pm for a diagnostic in order to get a rental car. I recently purchased a new GMC Terrain from Henry Brown and have nothing but good things to say. My salesman, Aaron Ray was amazing! He worked extremely hard finding me the vehicle I wanted and when it wasn't on their lot, he tracked one down and had it delivered to the dealership the next day! When i arrived @ the dealership the next day it was all ready to go with a full tank of gas. He took the time, unlike the last car salesman i had, to go through the programing of onstar and all the other features my Terrain has to offer. WARNING: THIS DEALERSHIP PREYS ON THE ELDERLY ! Henry Brown Buick GMC solicited a call to my parents and told them they had a customer who was interested in purchasing a car like the one they were currently leasing, and the dealership would be able to get them out of their current lease and into a new car with a lower monthly payment. What they did was put my 85 year old father and 80 year old mother in a 7 year car loan (this is not a typo), and added $8000 of negative equity on to the loan for the new car. My parents had no idea. They believe they were getting out of their lease and were made made to believe the dealership was taking care of it. They also were led to believe they were lowering their monthly payment because that is what the 'nice car salesman' told them. I had been a customer for henry brown gmc since they were on main street and bought from them 5 car in the past 15 years but this time I was shopping for my 6 car with them i apoly and they did not call me back for my approval until 20 days later telling me i was not qualify for a new loan thru my bank . I called the bank and they said they had approved me for the lian but the car neede to be at kelly blue book value and the one at henrry brown wasn't so i neede 2k down . My experience purchasing a car a year ago was actually fairly good. Although I had misplaced my bill of sale and called Finance to figure out the sales tax I paid for tax filing purposes. Called and left a message on a Friday, no return. Called and left a message the following Monday, no return. Called Wednesday 4 times and receive 4 mailboxes, and I left a message - no return phone call. Called Friday morning (a week after my first attempt) and asked for ANY manager to speak to. Had to leave a message... again. Called again and a demanded to talk to ANYBODY with a computer. Finally got a guy who didn't seem to happy to help. A sales manager who did not apologize for my poor experience. Really crappy service. read more

Horrible customer service. Purchased a 2018 GMC in December, I traded in my older Denali with high-end side steps that I specifically said I needed taken off for another vehicle of mine. I was told several times that they were in the garage and we just needed to wait until they can get them. We also were promised a $800 gift card with this purchase. It is now the end of June and my side steps were sold to the wholesaler with the truck which we were lied to about for months and we have also not received the gift card. I have called multiple times for them only to tell me that they will get right back to me. I am very disappointed at how difficult this process has been. This is our second vehicle purchased from Henry Brown GMC.  On the first occasion, we were assisted by Rob Upchurch and Dwayne Champion.  The entire purchase experience went smoothly and for the first time, not unnerving.  When my wife and I decided to upgrade to a larger vehicle, we decided the only place to go was back to Henry Brown GMC.....as long as Dwayne and Rob were still there.  I contacted Dwayne and forwarded examples of the types of used vehicles we were interested in purchasing.  By the end of the week, my wife and I were in Rob's office, signing documents for our new 2020 GMC Yukon.  My wife and I were amazed as too how much we did NOT have to do during this transaction.  Dwayne and Rob showed us once again how much they care for their customer's wants and needs....and that they can be trusted to honor them.  When we are in the market for another vehicle, we will go back to Henry Brown GMC, Dwayne Champion, and Rob Upchurch. read more

Do not order a Truck from this dealership. I ordered a Truck from Ben Brown in March 2020 and agreed on pricing. Once the Truck arrived at the old Chevy Dealership Henry Brown had just sold I contacted Ben Brown and he said he would get it brought to Chandler. I received no response from Ben so I contacted the Chevy dealer who said that i must now buy the Truck from them with their pricing. So I did pay their price to get my Truck I had been waiting for for 6 months. Henry brown did contact me and did say he was sorry and would take care of the pricing difference. He said Ben would contact me. Three weeks later I when into Brown GMC and spoke with Henry Brown about what he said, he had Ben take me to his office to work it out. After ben leaving the office and not retuning I went looking for him and found him in another office. ben said he would call me the next day. It never happened. So if you want to get treated better and feel good about buying you new Truck go somewhere else to buy!!!!!! read more

I have always brought my truck here. I have repeatedly had problems and usually have to bring the vehicle back two or three times. Seems like they are only looking for turnover. After my latest visit I found my trucks door is catching on the front fender. I have no idea how this happened because it wasn't this way previously. Let me tell you about this business we purchased a used car from them paid $1600 to have it shipped from Arizona to Michigan we get the car the windshield is cracked the back tire looks like it's about to blow off the rim so I called them and really all they can tell me is if I would've paid full price for this vehicle we won't be having this issue. They charged us a tire disposal fee now they're trying to say they did not even change the tires on the vehicle. When they did the Billis sale they did give us a discount on the vehicle because somebody we knew worked there. The $1600 we paid for shipping they tried adding that into the amount of the car so when we go get tags on the vehicle we are going to have to pay taxes on the money that we paid to ship the vehicle. Because apparently that's how they write up their orders because apparently they are pretty fucking shady. I should've known better to buy a car and have it shipped to me when I found out from the person we knew that worked there said that the people that work there which are the owners sons are always hiding keys to the more expensive vehicles so nobody else can sell them and only they can sell them. So just a heads up when you get a vehicle from them they will try to worm their way out of taking blame for anything. read more

With this dealership, I had the worst experience "EVER", I will say that Blake and Bryan tried to rectify and I appreciated that but the damage was done. So walking into the dealership I had a pre-approval going in ( working with a credit specialist who told me to NOT let the dealership run my credit let them know we are pre-approved so that it would be a soft hit from the dealership but only one hit from Capitol One) so I let the salesperson "Charlie" know this info and thought okay so while waiting I get emails from my credit monitoring saying that my score has just dropped 30 points, so I open it up and find out that the Sales manager Josh NEVER even ran my credit through Capital One he ran it through 5 different lenders that they are partnered with and two of the 5 pulled my credit score which gave me the hard hits I told him I wanted to go with capitalone who I was approved for. Well pissed I attempt to say something to Josh who shuts me down and tells me and my husband we don't know what we are talking about and if we were going to buy a house then why are we buying a car anyway, at this point I'm pissed and yelling and this man puts his hands up to tell me time out, I am livid and I yell at him and leave. The finance manager calls me that night and my emotions are still all over the place but he calms me down and I think we are going down the right path then I talk with the credit specialist who is pissed at this point so he gives us advice on how to try and handle the deal so we go with that. Today Charlie calls and we say we will be there, he calls and then 2 others called to make sure we were still coming (very annoying), we get there and sit down and Charlie just gives me papers to sign so I say no show me the numbers first so Charlie gets pissed and belligerent with me because I wont just sign the papers. To sum it all up this place has some real scum working for them so be very careful when you go into this dealership because to me their practices are quite unethical. If anyone in Gilbert wants to attend a free circus, please go to Henry Brown in Gilbert because there's a bunch of clowns at this location. I've brought my vehicle here x3 now to do the warrantied tint that they had no problem charging me for then doesn't want to correct the issues. I've had debris and hair in my tint, they did retint but had the same recurring issues everytime, I've asked if they tint their windows in a dirt field do to this ongoing issue. I took my car there for the third time and asked for them to match my back windows due to the having to remove the tint anyways which they agreed to. I get my car back and it is nowhere near the same tint. I email back this clown Evan and he has the nerve to give me a attitude about the tint. We've went back and forth via email which he clearly stated that he would do that, then I pick up my vehicle and it's the same tint and it has debris once again. At this point I'm beyond upset I contacted this so called GM and haven't heard anything back at this point. Tomorrow I will be contacting the BBB and the attorney general's office due to this recurring situation, they're a bunch of crooks and won't hold up their end of the bargain. Buyer beware of these crooks, go anywhere else but here. There's still debris in my tint, you guys may want to do yourselves a favor and get a new tint guy. Update: since you want to put in your 2 cents. Horrible service, horrible attitude when you have to fix your mistakes just an all around horrible dealership. fYI ----You guys need a complete enema of your entire dealership. Very disappointed - I brought my 2015 GMC Sierra to Henry Brown GMC 1yr ago with the issue of the AC turning warm from time to time. Truck was under manufactures warranty. I left my truck with Henry Brown for 2 days. When I received the call to pick it up they informed me that the AC was running fine with no issues and that the AC turning warm was normal due to living in AZ... its hot. On Sunday while driving the AC system went warm then hot and then shut off and then the truck shut off. I had my truck towed to Henry Brown. Now my truck is just outside of the warranty. Henry Brown informed me that I needed a new compressor which would cost $1,200. Henry Brown will not step up and do the repair even though the AC issue was missed by their GMC experts. To make matters worse I had my truck with Henry Brown for 7 days while trying to speak with GMC directly in order to get some help. GMC gave me lip service and did nothing for me. Very disappointed that Henry Brown would not step up and correct the issue from their miss diagnosis while my truck was under warranty. They were happy to make the money on a recall issue from GMC but would not stand behind the issue with the AC system. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THEM FOR REPAIR. read more

We bought a used GMC Yukon, which was a huge purchase for us (even used). The inventory was good for Yukons, which is why we chose to buy there. However, our sales guy AND finance person sold us the $3K warranty telling us that it is bumper to bumper and will cover "everything" that would go wrong. NOT CORRECT! The first time I took it in for service (the dash cracked on the airbag and the driver handle split in two), we were told they weren't covered!! I fought and fought (even calling GMC) and they would not cover this. If you look it up, these two are huge issues with YUKONs (and dangerous in my opinion since it's the airbag that is cracked). So beware when you buy from them as you won't get the help they promise when you take the vehicle in for service. Now our nice/new vehicle is a piece of crap with a cracked dash and handle you can cut your hand on. read more

These guys are fantastic. Patrick and Nick were very helpful. I originally chose an SLT with tow package and the 6.2-liter engine (a difficult package to find). Henry Brown had one, however when I finally called to say I would take it, the truck had been dealer traded. The other dealership dragged its feet in returning the truck and a week went by without any commitment as to when it would be available. Nick and Patrick worked to get the truck traded back for me, in the meantime they provided me with a similar quality loaner to use while I waited. Unfortunately, the other dealership would not send back the truck and would not commit to providing a timeframe for us. With 2 weeks wasted and no new truck, I was more than disappointed. Nick was able to work out a deal on a slightly more expensive package in the same engine size and get the deal done for the same price we had already agreed on. I had the Henry Brown Custom Shop (with Joey who is really helpful) add a 4" lift, new Fuel Wheels and tires, a dual exhaust and few other items that make the truck perfect. I would recommend the team here to anyone looking for a new car. From the sales floor to the custom shop they will take care of you if you're as picky as I am you will be very satisfied. read more

Joel "JP" Price came out and greeted us on our first day of "just looking" and never once made us feel pressured to buy anything that day, which was such a blessing. When we left that day we felt very informed about the vehicle we were interested in. A week later with no repetitive obnoxious pesky phone calls, we decided to go back in to start narrowing down the features we wanted. He allowed us to look just by ourselves so we could talk privately about what was right for us. I really appreciated this and JP was always ready to answer any questions we had. When we finally decided which one we wanted, the entire process was easy and comfortable. I will definitely be coming back to see the staff and especially JP for any future purchases. I booked an oil change online. When I arrived, there was no record of it. I left the dealership 90 minutes later, but they did squeeze me in. We bought a new Yukon Denali in January, and expected a better service experience (online appts, premium wait area, etc). I definately have buyers remorse from purchasing my car from this dealer. They did give us what we wanted for the trade-in however that is how they deceive you, making you think you have a good deal. Definately get financing before hand if you plan on going to the dealer. The salesman Joe H was easy going and not pressuring at all, however after 4 hours of being there (late) my eyes started to glaze over and that is when they decide to share the details of your loan. I have excellent credit and yet they tried to tell us we were not approved for a better rate. It was a bunch of bull. And oh yes they gladly processed the loan after a week, however they have yet to pay off my trade in (friday was the 10 day mark which is what the quote is good for). I sent them an email asking about it and the response was they will overnight the check. Why the Hell did they wait for me to ask, it should have been done already. Nice people to your face, but they are ultimately out to screw you. If I could go back and do it again I would go somewhere else. Too bad there is no return policy or grace period for vechile loans. I asked if they had a grace period and they looked at me like I was speaking another language. I would have brought the car back the next morning (althought I love it to death) and gone somewhere else just on principle. read more

My husband and I were waiting outside the finance door to sign papers when the sales manager told us he "messed up" and they could not honor the agreement we already signed, and it was going to be more money. I dealt with Tim Thompson during drop off and via phone as the vehicle was kept for several days. Tim was outstanding to deal with!!! Unfortunately, Tim was not there when I picked up the vehicle and the rest of the service staff could care less to help. I was told to 'stand by Scott's desk' by a runner (one of the guys who shuttles cars back and forth) after he saw me walk into the service writer area. I believe Scott was covering for Tim. I waited for over 15 minutes for Scott, apparently no one ever attempted to get a hold of him, I guess I was just waiting for him to eventually come back to his desk. After asking several other service writers for help, all of which didn't make eye contact obviously for fear of having to do something other than stand around and BS with each other, I walked back to the front receptionist told her what was gong on and asked to be directed to the cashier. The cashier walked down towards Tim's desk, returned with my paperwork and sent me on my way. All work was fixed as Tim described on the phone, the day before pickup. But steering wheel silver trim was cracked at some point while addressing steering complaint. Due to not being in stock, Tim is in the process of getting this piece ordered. Apparently you have a group of service center workers more concerned about passing the time, than truly taking care of customers. Oh well, there are lots of dealerships that would appreciate the business, we will utilize and refer to them. read more

*This review is for service, not sales* I recently brought in my 2012 GMC Acadia in for a few service checks (which I purchased at a different dealer) - a leaking timing cover, an A/C inspection, and a rattling noise in the front end. My vehicle was well out of the bumper to bumper warranty, and right at the tail end of the drive train warranty. My service adviser Blain was wonderful - he set clear expectations that the work would take 2 days (based on the timing cover issue), and helped me get a courtesy vehicle for the time in the shop. Excellent communication - he called me to inform of some bigger issues (broken engine mount, leak in A/C) and let me know of the cost. What really shocked me (and I'm now a customer for life) is his offer to contact GMC directly to see if they would cover some of the out of warranty issues on the vehicle since I am the original owner. In the end, a $2K visit became $350. Wow! You just don't hear of dealer service shops trying to SAVE you money. Again, Blain was a wonderful service advisor, and everyone I interacted with at the dealership was polite and professional. I highly recommend Henry Brown for service, and GMC as a company (we've got three GMC vehicles in our family). Keep up the great work! read more

I took my vehicle in for service the first time today. I pulled up in my car and nobody there was to greet me, welcome me, or even guide me on what to do. I walked in to a line of desks with names on them. I stood by the front by the desk of Heidi Burns only to be ignored. Luckily I remembered I needed to speak to Joe so I found his desk while I proceeded to wait while he was with another customer. When he was done he looked up at me and said "Are you waiting for me?" Serious?? How about "How can I help you sir?" Probably the worst customer service at a dealership service department that I have ever witnessed. You walk in and everybody ignores you and looks at you like what are you doing here. I witnessed a customer go stand at one of the front counters needing help only to witness HEIDI BURNS ignore her and walk away. The customer then walked to another desk to get help wondering what to do. There were 3 people at desks there who ALL IGNORED HER UNTIL SHE SPOKE UP! Nobody said "How can I help you Ma'am?" What ever happened to pure genuine customer service and caring? Everybody here works like a zombie. Everybody seems like they hate their job and walks around without a smile. Based on the other reviews I've read on the service I would say, Mr. Brown, that you have a major problem with your service department! read more

I was extremely disappointed with the lack of service I received at Henry Brown Buick GMC. I took my car in for a standard oil change which includes their standard inspection of hoses, belts, fluids, etc. With no issues noted on the report or by the service repair representative, I picked up the car and went home. Within the next couple of days, there was oil on my driveway (none was there before). I made an appointment, brought the car back in, they looked at it, and tightened up the oil filter. The next day, there was even more fluid in the driveway. Again, I make an appointment and take the car back into the service center. This time, I am told there is no issue with the oil, but I now have a leak in the transmission fluid hose and a leak in the heater hose with a repair price of $1000 to fix both. Since we had no issues before bringing the car into the dealership, we questioned the service rep who then provided passive aggressive non-concern for our situation and provided no insight. The next day, we called the service manager who listened and promised to get back to us within a couple of days after he investigated. The service manager did not return a call to us and, after a week, we called him. At first, he didn't recall our particular issue, but upon recollection quickly became rude and sarcastic with no desire to explain his findings or to make recompense for the situation. There are many options in the Gilbert area for car purchases, repairs, and service. It's disappointing to know a loyal customer is only as valuable as their last car purchase and is treated with such little consideration. We will be sure to mention our dissatisfaction with Henry Brown Buick GMC to anyone interested in buying or servicing a car. read more

I have purchased 4 vehicles from Henry Brown and so have had service performed there many times. I was extremely disappointed in the service that I received during the last appointment. I had a crack in the sidewall of my tire on my 2017 Acadia and brought it in to see if it was covered. It was not, and I was told the tire had to be ordered so I later made an appointment. I arrived a few minutes prior to my scheduled appointment time of 10:00. I waited in the bay for over 30 minutes before my service person left his desk to come and talk with me. All of the cars before and after me in line were long gone. He had been sitting there the entire time so it wasn't like he was in the back or with another customer. After he came over, he told me that he wasn't sure that the tire that was ordered for the appointment was even there yet. (Why was that not checked before my appointment?) After they took my car away, it was another hour before he came to tell me that it was there. When I asked how long before it would be finished he looked 'put out', and couldn't give me a clear answer. When I asked if it was going to be over an hour, the response was 'Oh at least. We're really busy today.' So after already being at the dealership for 1-1/2 hours, I find out that it is going to be much longer. I ended up calling for a ride and having him call me when it was finished. When I came back later to pick up my car, it was parked outside. It had marker on the windshield directly in the driver's viewpoint. Since the car wash was not in operation, I had to go directly to the place I was given a carwash certificate for to get it washed off so I could see to drive. The carwash did not take it off so needless to say I was extremely frustrated. On top of this, I was driving on my spare when I came in since my tire had been flat. They put the spare back into the back of my car, but did not replace the jack or any of the pieces surrounding the spare tire (Styrofoam) in the well. The flap was just up with the tire basically just thrown in there and everything else was left. What should've been a quick appointment to put on a new tire turned in to an entire day ordeal. Customer service was extremely poor and I will never bring my vehicle back there for something that could've easily been done at Discount Tire or somewhere similar in less than an hour. read more

Buyer beware! I have purchased two cars from Henry Brown and was happy with the process as well as their fantastic service department, but based I what I learned AFTER the deal was complete, I will never go there again. They contacted me to trade in my 2015 Encore for a 2017. I went in just to see what kind of price I could get, and thought I was getting a decent deal since my payment and terms were not terribly different. However, I was working with three different sales people because no one had time to dedicate just to my transaction-- they all had appointments coming in and out. When it got to finance, I signed the paperwork thinking that all was as discussed. A couple of weeks later, a new license plate arrived in the mail and I found out they had voided my old personalized plate and kept my registration credit. It cost me almost $100 to get my old plate back. I called the dealership to get my registration credit back, but no one returned my call. Then, when I contacted the warranty company to get a refund on the balance of my warranty, I was told the dealership had taken the $1300 check. I called to find out what happened, left a message, but of course, no one called back. I called again two days later and spoke to the finance director who said that I had agreed to use that money as a down payment for the new car, and that I had just "misunderstood" the deal. I am an English teacher with a master's degree; I did not "misunderstand" what was being said. The finance guy said it was the sales person's responsibility because the refund amount was entered as my down payment (no one in sales EVER mentioned that little detail), and the sales department says it wasn't them, it was finance who handled that part. In effect, sales put it in as a down payment without my knowledge or consent, and finance slid it by in the paperwork. I should have more thoroughly read every paper I signed, but I stupidly trusted them because every one had been so friendly. I wonder how many of the people writing positive reviews on got duped out of license and warranty refunds and don't even realize it. I'm terribly disappointed; I wanted to believe that there was such a thing as an honest dealership, but my faith was misplaced. I hope they enjoy the almost $1500 they kept from my two refunds-- I was banking on it to buy Christmas presents for my kids. read more

The service on our car was satisfactory. Good phone customer service and attentive to us during transport to the dealership as a courtesy to pick up our vehicle. Service department was very busy, a little bit of confusion but repair was done well and price explained by technician. read more

Waggy, our salesman, was excellent and really did a great job helping us get what we wanted with the price, financing and features we needed. His managers where also very helpful in making this happen. Heidi in the Service department is really why we come back to Henry Brown instead of another GM dealership (or for that matter a Ford dealership). She has won our business as long as she is around. First of all "Buyer beware" if you are in the market to buy a new car please please go somewhere else! I cant believe that the brown family would hire or even allow salespeople like tim russell and manager joe hines to work there! Here is my horror story with this dealership! I currently have stomach cancer and lymodema so i have difficulites in getting in and out if cars..a friend recommended henry brown after i had an engine problem in feb 2015. We dealt yhrough text messages with rob a sakes manager and afrer 4 days my boyfriend went to henry brown to look at cars! He decided on his dream car the crysler 2013 town and country! The sales rep tim russell who im sorry is treated like a car porter there tried to get a csr from casa grande and it didnt work! Well rob went to an auction and bought a car with the back end damaged and failed to disclose that information! Then the story gets better! I had to go to the dealership and spend 3 hours waiting to sign paperwork before i saw the car! Wow isnt that great custoner service! I even got ill in their bathroom and they could care less. So if have any illness or disabilities please make sure that yoy dont go there! Well we finally got the car to discover that an extended warranty was placed on this vehicle without permission and the deal was not signed by the fiance guy nick ( who by the way needs to take a class on customer service) or just get layed. This poor guy needs help now! So if you are a single desperate female go to henry brown gmc! Well we still have the dent in the back of the town and country and talking to these people are insane! I have filed a better business compliant so again if you have 4 hours of free time and want to be lied too ripped off go to henry brown and visit these fine people . I had my GMC into service dept for ac and sunroof noise. Not once but twice. Both issues were not fixed on first visit. Service writer says no loaners or rental cars available due to extensive GM recalls. I was promised a loaner earlier in the day only to be told no loaners available at 5:10pm when I called in. So lack of service writer follow up as well. I recommend anywhere but Henry Brown GMC. read more

CAUTION!!! If you are looking to buy a truck here, get it in WRITING that it will pull a trailer! This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with! I bought a used Duramax here in 2 years ago because I needed to pull a lightweight toy hauler. I wanted pulling power and fuel mileage, so I paid top dollar for a very low mileage 2007 GMC Sierra 2500. I explained over and over to the salesman that I was buying this truck for 1 reason..... PULLING A TRAILER! They will not allow you to hook your trailer up for a test drive (they say it is state law due to the dealer plate??), so I bought this low 60K mile truck with the promise it could pull anything (literally, the typical salesman promise..).Skip a couple weeks later to my first trip on Labor Day, loaded with a very light 9k lbs. The truck overheated, would not even pull 65 on Bush HWY and was making a loud noise in the engine bay. We turned around after calling the salesman and took it in at 8AM Saturday morning (losing a full day of camping). The bolts holding the fan shroud were loose and caused it to hit the fan causing the loud noise but they couldn't explain the loss of power so it had to be looked at Tuesday. They would not provide a loaner because of the same BS dealer plate explaination , so scrub trip #1 of MANY!!!Long story short, I have fought this truck for almost 2 years now, I have cancelled trip after trip. I had a catalytic converter that was 90% blocked and they wouldn't replace it. I get 10mpg in town 12 on the hwy... NOT THEIR PROBLEM. I have had it back more times than I can remember. Every time, the service manager agrees that it doesn't pull right and that the horrible fuel consumption that he sees personally isn't right, but because it doesn't throw a code his hands are tied. I bought an extended warranty from them but other shops will not honor it because the truck has over sized tires and a leveling kit that were on it when I purchased. 2 of these shops have said there is an issue with the either the turbo or a possible ECU sensor but HB GMC will not do anything due to a lack of a service code being thrown. I have explained over and over on the phone and emails, that all I wanted was a truck that was able to pull. I never asked for refunds, reimbursement for expenses when it failed trip after trip... Just a truck that could pull. I even offerd to take a truck that was higher mileage and a year older (if it pulled) in exchange, the management's response through the sales dept... we will sell you the truck and trade yours in at current trade value! If you buy here, better make sure you get everything in writing. BUYER BEWARE!! read more
