Hands down the best BBQ in the state. Would put the…read morebrisket up against the big Texas boys. Ribs are phenomenal. Sides are great. Deserts are great. Pulled pork is pulled pork. Awesome people. If you are heading to Chattanooga from Atlanta it's worth the drive off 75 to go here. Exactly what you want from a legit bbq place. Limited seating indoors. But nice screened in porch and tons of seating outdoors in the back. Highly, highly recommend.

No fluff, no gimmicks... just straight-up barbecue done right. I ordered the super sampler, which comes with five meats and three sides for $48, and let me tell you... the portion size is insane. This isn't your typical sampler you share between two people. This is easily enough food for four or five people. The pictures honestly don't do it justice. Let's talk about the meats. The brisket was everything you want. Juicy, tender, perfect fat-to-meat ratio, and the bark was excellent. Same with the ribs -- tender but still holding together when you pick them up. No sauce needed at all. The pulled pork... I don't say this lightly... this is the best pulled pork I've ever had. It melts in your mouth and is packed with flavor. It actually made me wonder how good their pulled pork sandwich must be. The sausage surprised me. I usually get tired of sausage quickly, but this one had a unique flavor and was one of the best I've had. The chicken was also tender, juicy, and well seasoned. Now the sides... Cheesy grits were extremely flavorful and easily compete with some of the best I've had. Mac and cheese is simple, homemade, and done right. The green beans were some of the best I've ever had -- not sure what they're doing, but it works. Potato salad was excellent, baked beans were sweet and spot on, and even the Brunswick stew (which I don't usually go for) was solid with a more tomato-forward flavor. Dessert sealed the deal. The banana pudding absolutely lives up to the hype. Every bite has those crushed wafers mixed in, and the texture and flavor are just perfect. One of the best banana puddings I've had anywhere. They also have multiple house sauces (Carolina, Texas-style, Georgia-style), and the Georgia sauce was my favorite. Service was A+. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, even while the place was packed. And yes, it gets PACKED. I got there right when they opened and there was already a line. They do have extra seating outside, but if you don't get there early, be prepared to wait or take it to go. Parking, though, is actually not an issue. There's parking across the street, some on the side, and a large dirt lot in the back where most people were parking. Even with how busy it gets, there's plenty of space if you know where to look. I honestly can't believe a place this good is tucked away in northwest Georgia. This is one of those true hidden gems... but the locals clearly already know. This ride was 100% worth it. This is easily top two barbecue spots I've had in Georgia... and it might be pushing for that number one spot.

When we drove up, we could smell the hickory smoke and saw the smoker on the sidewalk in front. When we walked in, we were told that menus are on the checkout counter, so I went to grab 2, but before we knew it, the uncle of the owner started reading every item on the menu for an uncomfortably long time. I'm a visual guy so I need to read menus at my own pace. We ordered the lunch combo - 1/2 lb. smoked brisket with 2 sides, 1 sauce, and a fountain drink are included. My wife had the 4 rib lunch with 1 side, 1 sauce, and a drink. There are 4 sauces to choose from. I chose the hot & spicy that was thin and mild; my wife chose the "Bama sauce", a white vinegar & salad dressing sauce that was good. I chose the Brussels sprouts hash and warm German potato salad that were both delicious, and my favorite menu items overall! I was surprised to see the brisket in a foil-wrapped packet next to the bun thinking that this method kept the meat hot, but when I opened the packet, the meat was not hot, but nicely smoked. The brisket was unusually cut into pellet- sized pieces that were slightly dry, under seasoned, and undercooked to my liking, and kept falling out of the bun. I would have preferred the traditional sliced brisket sandwich piled high with some topping choices like homemade pickles, hot peppers, etc. On the positive side, my wife's ribs were huge and they even threw in a few burnt ends. I tried one and thought it was also under seasoned and dry. My wife loved her ribs and said it was tender and juicy! The ambiance is quirky and uninviting with a bar behind the checkout and a few tables. There was a paper sign arrow in the back showing that they have a patio, but you have to walk through a storage area and past the restroom to get there. There were 3 or 4 picnic tables and 1 small bar-height table with 2 chairs. We didn't realize until we left that they served wine and beer until we saw a beer sign over the bar. I'm assuming this place is fairly new and they've got some kinks to work out, but if you go, I'd recommend the ribs and sides!

You order at the front and they bring your meal to the table, but then they clean up the tables after you! Lots of outdoor seating and they also have a drive through window. Just follow their entrance signs then the enter here sign but somehow missed the order here sign once inside. Thanks to the cashier for waving at us we then got back on track. Cashier was wonderful super nice and friendly. We ordered a couple of the 4 meat platter ($24) with choices of brisket, pulled pork, bbq ribs, turkey and pork sausage. For the sides mashed potatoes, geen beans, mac and cheese and potato salad. All the sides were really good but the meats not so much. The pulled pork was flavorless, brisket was on the dry side, ribs fell of the bone but were also flavorless and could not taste the smoke flavor. Turkey and pork sausage were the best. You get your choices of sauces . I stuck with original sweet bbq. My biggest disappointment was the corn bread. It was actually more of a corn meal muffin. No corn flavor and it was dry. You get two with your platter. I regret not ordering the Texas toast. Overall the place was clean, spacious with plenty of parking, great staff, signs everywhere but not the best bbq food I ever had.
