What a beautiful restaurant and fabulous food, but without the caring and excellent staff, itcwoujd just be another "good" restaurant. We had hoped to eat outside with my suppirt pup, but rainy weather changed plans. After showing her paired, texted couldn't be more accommodating. Ellie, our waitress was sweet and answered all If our questions-we (4 adults) all got seafood entrees- delish!! And the wedge salad was crisp and fresh and out of this world. Stopped by JC Fogarty's on a Sunday afternoon and had mixed feelings overall. The service was great and the music at the bar made for a fun atmosphere. I ordered the Bronco Burger with cheese and a beer, but the prices felt pretty steep for what you get. The burger ended up being around $20 and came with barely any fries, and the beer was $12 without even being a full pint. The food was decent, but the portions and pricing didn't really match up. I was an avid customer when Geek trivia was hosted here a while back but have been trying to get back when I can. This is a nice location for a party, private dinner or even me if you're eating alone there is plenty of parking and it's accessible. This is a neighborhood jam. It's been around for a long time. Your service will be impeccable and depending on what your order your food will be good. It's reasonably priced and the location is great. It has an old charm ambience. I came in here with high expectations. There were 9 of us . We were put at a table that would comfortably seat 6 and the dining room was not even half full. The waitress was excellent, the service was perfect. The food was the problem. The appetizers were okay- calamari and mozzarella sticks. The potato skins were soggy. Three of us got burgers, not great. Quesadillas were in a soggy heap. French fries were cold. Lamb stew was tasteless. Children ordered pasta with red sauce -not enough sauce. Ice cream and crème brûlée were good. Coffee was good. Prices were fairly high . " children's menu" pasta was $16 and did not include the drink or ice cream the way other places do. Worst Irish pub we've ever been to in Westchester. I see why it's not even in the top 10 on TripAdvisor. The server was horrible. No one came to ask or fill our glasses with water. My wife had to get up herself to get it. She asked for a glass of ice and the waitress brought two glasses of ice to the other customers who came after us. other customers had to get up and get their menus. The Guinness on tap was flat and watery. The stuffed mushrooms with crab meat app was horrible. the frozen ones at Trader Joe's are better. the Irish soda bread was bland. The corned beef was sliced so thin and there was hardly any on the plate for $28. I live in Scarsdale and would rather walk to the Rambling House in the Bronx or Rory Dolan's in Yonkers (real Irish pubs) before I ever go to this place again. Actually, I wouldn't go again for free. We were here for a Kiwanis meeting and it was just the perfect spot. An easy drive from Long Island always helps and there was plenty of parking (especially on the weekend.) I immediately noticed this was a nice pub / restaurant. Great venue to meet with friends. This is one big establishment with many rooms and they have the ability to handle many people at once. Our group of about 60 people were located in a side room. Plenty of space for people to move around. The servers took our orders as our program began. A thoroughly delightful team in the room made for a very easy and comfortable experience. I went with the bowl of Lentil soup which was delicious. My main meal was a delicious piece of salmon served with roasted potatoes and vegetables. Everything was cooked well as was extremely tasty. I asked for the sauce on the side and I git the sauce on the side... (This doesn't always happen.) The Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream was so good (so good) way to finish our meal. It was good that all the food came out together and we could see that after being served first, people were not waiting long-at-all for their food. It clearly was a very pleased crowd. In waiting for a drink and food I couldn't help but see major unsightly dust build up on wine bottles in the rack, to of the beer dispenser, over the tops of the baseball caps they display, and many other places. We have been to Fogarty's about a dozen times and the staff/food has generally been good. Our daughter who has small children lives nearby so it's a good midpoint between our place in Duchess county and other family traveling from Queens. This past weekend we had a reservation for 10 people (a special birthday). 30 minutes into our drive and therefore 30 minutes before our reservation they called and said, "We have to cancel your reservation, we overbooked, sorry". This was 9/7 So I can assure you that won't happen to us again at this restaurant and it's a shame. I have never ever taken the time to write a bad review, I always take time for good ones. We went for a political event there I have to say the drinks were weak. They did a buffet and the staff was quick to grab our food, but maybe because it was an event where they know really cool place to look at absolutely I need to go back to have a great review or bad review and see how they are on normal basis and the food. My rainy day turned sunny when I entered this great pub. A friendly greeting by the bartender was the start to a wonderful late lunch. It's sad but rare these days that a bartender takes the time to actually converse with their patrons. I ordered a pint of Guinness along with an order of traditional potato skins. Truly an Irish owned establishment that makes the effort and time to pour a proper pint. The skins were fantastic. Loaded and layer perfectly. Scallions on the bottom, followed by the bacon and cheese lastly to ensure a little bit of everything in every bite. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with great music playing my entire stay. Hurling and college baseball in the numerous TV's. I highly recommend this place and am so happy I chose to stop in today. read more

The place is sort of two-fold, a restaurant and a bar and each has to be seen separately. There is a glass fronted room at the front of the building which is very nice and a larger 'main' room that is a little generic. The whole place is done in nice woods and stained glass but there's just something about the main room that you feel like it's a social club from 1910. The food was so-so, a little dry and I had a problem at one point as the waiter tried to take my soup and I wasn't don.t we each had a hand on it and he didn't seem to want to take the hint at first. Considering he also spilled a drink he was pouring maybe it was just him but it sort of stuck in my memory. for the dining room I'd give it 2 stars. The bar is very different though. Maybe I'm old fashioned but it's what I think a bar should look like with dark wood and glass partitions between booths. The staff is friend, knowledgeable and quick. I'm not sure about the dining room but the bar is the sort of place I'd love to be a regular at if only i lived closer. that I'd give 5 stars to. read more

We recently had my Dad's birthday at Fogarty's. The staff were wonderful and the service was top notch. We were allowed to take our time and really enjoy the entire afternoon at our own pace. Highly recommend Fogarty's for private parties and events. read more

wish we could say it was great. we have gone man times before, and it was. The past two visits were not good. once, there was a big pa try in the main room. We were in the dining room. We were largely ignored. yesterday, we were going for brunch. We had reservations. Half hour before, as we were driving to the restaurant, we receive a call. They are overbooked. We are canceled. I had a terrific experience planning a graduation party at Fogerty's from start to finish...John the owner, and Adam the manager and Anne-Marie were extremely accommodating with anything I wanted to do for my event and helping me and my gf set it up...I met w them a few times to make sure details and planning were seamless and they were always there with good recommendations and great suggestions..,the party went perfectly and the food was delicious (especially the appetizers incl Calamari, chicken skewers, Sirloin steak, shrimp and more...sthey allowed us to bring some food items we wanted to incorporate and even heated them up no charge...service was fast and efficient and friendly....I highly recommend having your next function at one of their varied sized rooms....the front room was perfect for our group of ~25 with plenty of great light...thanks guys for a wonderful event!!! Two words - NEVER AGAIN. A friend and I went to Fogarty's (bar area) for a bite to eat after a movie. I ordered a club sandwich. I took a bite and as I was chewing, something felt hard. I thought it might be the bacon. Luckily I didn't swallow it. I spit it out. It was a piece of a broken toothpick with a sharp end. The toothpick that I pulled out of the sandwich was whole as were the other toothpicks that were still in the other sandwich sections. I notified the waiter who took it back and I ordered something I could see clearly - mozzarella and tomato salad. When the check came, they charged for the substitute order - should have been on the house. If I had swallowed the pointed toothpick, I could have done some serious damage. The food at Fogarty's was never more than mediocre - it's still mediocre but the service has gone downhill and after this experience, you have to wonder who is working in the kitchen. Absolutely blown away by the warm, welcoming, and fun staff at fogarty's in bronxville. My friend and I stopped in for what we thought would be one drink on the roof top (gorgeous) but ended up spending the day because of the incredible bartenders Monique and Megan. They were unbelievably talented up taking care of dozens of customers but still found the time to make everyone feel at the bar feel special. I read the review below and one from 2023 says 'Parking' is unavailable. This is simply untrue. There is A HUGE Parking lot IN FRONT THE DOOR. So, I would take that review with a grain of salt. If you visit here, please add the Pango app and pay for parking from the app - few bucks $2 or $4 around there depending on how long you stay - AND, the meters inside the lot allow you longer parking time - After 8pm, its free - its Bronxville city run lots. and, they now have a charming rooftop [its open air, has inside seating, and its closed off so you see the sky but not the neighborhood]. Another local disappointment that could be so much better. I get it, it's a bar. And the last thing the Bronxville elders want is a popular bar, but it's as if the owners don't care about making money. I'm sure it does OK, but it could do great since there is no local competition! The food is meh. Make it better! Have a few seasonal specialty cocktails. And lastly, you have a rooftop. People LOVE a rooftop. Make it nice!!! Add a few trees and lounge seating area and tables, have it open late night with a specialty menu and people will flock to it! I throughly enjoy this place. To the point in which the Fogarty family comes to greet and say hello. I hear people complain about the bartender but I guess because im from NYC i realize he knows hes there to strictly serve drinks, and he is like clockwork. See me almost empty and he comes over for a refill. I LOVE the penne alla vodka, the wings, the burgers, the cheeststeaks aswell as the wraps. Disappointing doesn't begin to describe how my group of five felt after dinner at this establishment. Each of our main courses were not good, each of us were less than satisfied. The potatoes on top of the Shepards pie were tasteless (the pie was not much better). The Beer Battered Shrimp was soggy and tasteless and was sent back (that person skipped dinner entirely based on the opinions of the other meals). The Penne ala Vodka (2 people ordered it) was not worth eating as well. Only the sliders were a 3 out of 5, others were 1 out of 5. I will never return. read more

I really only make it here when attending wakes and funerals so I guess I am sad to say I have been here three or four times. Location It's location is convenient for toasting to a lost loved one as the the McGrath funeral home is next door. It's also super convenient to just to grab a drink or bite on your way home as it is right across from the Bronxville metro north Station. Atmosphere Fogerty's is split into two sides: the restaurant and the pub. In the restaurant they have three dining rooms so this can conveniently be rented for private groups. The pub side has a few booths and a long bar area. Some nights they have live music. Sunday night it is traditional Irish. Food It is traditional bar/pub food with a few other NY common dishes thrown in. Mozzarella sticks - crispy outside. Cheese filled inside. The cheese did not come out in one bite. Yum. Chicken Francese - sauce was good. Breading was ok. Irish nachos - I am not sure where mushrooms and onions come in when making nachos "Irish" but I was just so happy to see real cheese being melted in the chips (the west coast likes to put cheese sauce and no shredded cheese on them. ) that I was happy to pick all those veggies off. The Tortilla Chips were crisp and not soggy and Bacon Bits are always a welcomed touch. Service The bartender that I had the last time was awesome. Very friendly and happy. One of the waitresses at a private party went above and beyond to make me something that I would like when the course that they were serving didn't appeal to me at all. Went for a quick bite. Kids had chicken sliders, and buffalo wrap and I had a burger. This was basic diner food poorly executed. Kids didn't like the food and I got sick 10 min after leaving the place. To add insult to injury, they charged a "convenience fee" plus an added charge for using a credit card. I came in here for lunch after about five years since my last visit. (I moved out of town for a bit). I sat at the bar and was reminded why I used to come here all the time. The bartender, Jimmy, was friendly and helpful with recommending a sandwich. I had a dietary requirements for my meal and that was not an issue at all. I got the chicken club (sans bacon) and it was delicious. The chicken was really tender. I'm used to chicken on a sandwich being dry, so you can tell the chicken was cooked to order. The french fries were amazing. Usually I only eat a few, but I cleaned my plate. I will definitely keep coming back to Fogarty's, especially at lunch time with the fantastic staff there. read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RUDEST STAFF EVER!!! If you want to save yourself from a headache, then do yourself a favor and never walk into this place! The Irish bartender and owner were both so rude and clearly don't understand what it means to run a business that people will want to revisit. I asked the bartender why he was being rude to me & he proceeded to take off his mask to YELL at me. It was unprofessional, when the owner came around to ask how everything was I told him about the incident and proceeded to defend the bartenders actions. Worst place to hold an event. Service sucks, as does the food. We had our 50th grammar school reunion there, and it was a disaster !!! Over promised, and under delivered !!! As a result of their shitty service and promises, I probably have steered $25000 worth of business to other restaurants in the area. We were all pissed, and I was embarassed ! Came here for happy hour with a few of my clients that work in the area. Was pleasantly surprised! Our bartender was friendly and upbeat. She even began some banter with a few from our party and was really funny. They put out a decent spread for happy hour that consisted of BBQ wings and some type of goulash that was really good. She can make a mean hot toddy as well. She actually stuffed the lemon wedge with clove spices, which I've never seen before. We had quite a few drinks and some good bar food and left for under $100! For being 15 mins north of Manhattan, that's a pretty good deal. I'll be back the next time I'm in Bronxville. read more
