This was my first time at Kupros Craft House and I had a good experience. I came on a Wednesday during happy hour, which was 5-7pm and there was plenty of seating. I ordered the Tots which came with ranch dressing and the Mac and Cheese. The tots were crispy and really good with the ranch dipping sauce. The mac n cheese was bland to me. I wasn't crazy about the flavor...or should I say lack of flavor. I would definitely order the tots again but not the mac n cheese. I was told the fried pickles were popular so that might be a good option. I enjoyed Laughing Monk's Forbidden Fruit Sour. I'd probably give it a B since I've had better sours, but I've also had worse sours. I didn't try the red wine. During happy hour, the happy hour plates were $5 each, the wine was $4, and the beer was $2 off. The sour ended up to be $7 with the discount. Wednesday night just happened to be trivia night! Since we were there, we partook in the activity, however, didn't stay long enough to hear the answers. You can sit upstairs or downstairs for the trivia since they have speakers all over. The staff was welcoming and provided good service. The bartender was down to earth and polite. The ambiance was dark with lots of casual wooden furniture for decor. I visited this place mid January with a friend visiting from out of town because of the hours they are open and the inside pictures looked like the ambiance was interesting. The stained glass ceiling and the wooden booths were nice! Unfortunately the service wasn't great. One lady bartender was too busy talking it up with other people and not paying attention to my friend and another customer waiting at the bar. The other guy bartender was super attentive and had manage the whole bar nearly by himself. The food was typical bar food. Just the right amount of fried on the fried food. There was a great selection of beers though. I would definitely come back for the beer selection and fingers crossed better service next time. Stopped by recently with my girls for their extend Happy Hour hours. Overall, solid Happy Hour with great hours (5-7pm). We love a good beer can roulette for $3 (it's never a great beer but it's fun!). Ordered the mac n' cheese (not bad but lacked some flavor), great tots, and a yummy grilled cheese with a mac salad on the side. For $35 for 3 people, I'm not complaining! Came to Kupros from a brew bike. We had an empty can from the brew bike on the table that the bar back picked up. The manager Sean said we brought MULTIPLE drinks from outside the bar which is not true. We tried to explain ourselves and Sean called us c*nts. I am appalled by how my group was treated by the manager, Sean, and equally disappointed that ownership has completely ignored the email I sent days ago. We came here after a brew bike tour and spent a substantial amount of money. When an issue arose regarding our table, we tried to calmly explain things to find a peaceful resolution. Instead, Sean immediately escalated. Our group consists mostly of young women of color, and Sean--a white man much older than us--used his authority to aggressively degrade us, ultimately calling us "c*nts." Given the racial and gender dynamics, it's impossible not to wonder if white patrons would have faced this hostility. Afterward, I approached him for a one-on-one conversation to clear the air and explicitly told him I wanted to talk calmly to resolve it. He lost it--yelling that he "didn't give a fuck," telling me to "fuck off and get out of his bar," and then completely ignoring me when I tried to speak further. There is zero justification for paying customers to face verbal abuse and misogynistic insults. I emailed ownership requesting a full refund to give them an opportunity to take accountability and make things right, but their complete silence so far is incredibly disheartening. As a grueling work week comes to a close, there is nothing like celebrating a Friday-eve (I didn't know that this was a thing until I entered the corporate world) over some happy hour drinks and bites. To catch-up with a friend, we decided to meet at Kupros Craft House...an establishment in which I've heard many good things about! Upon entering the establishment, we were warmly greeted by an employee who was wiping the bar counter in what was a fairly empty bar (we arrived 20 minutes prior to the start of happy hour). Once 4pm arrived, we ordered the following: two margaritas (these are not considered happy hour drinks-but there was a slight discount on them), the Tot's 'N' Sauce (me), and the house mac n cheese (friend). Although I was not terribly hungry, the tots with jalapeño dipping sauce (as recommended by one of the employees) was delicious and did a great job of soaking up the tequila! The employee that assisted us made a well-crafted, flavorful margarita (so flavorful that I ordered a second one for myself). While my friend and I chatted, a nice crowd of folks started filing in and a nice playlist of early 2000's pop music filled the air. My husband had an out of town guest come into town and really wanted to bring him here. He has fond memories of this place when we used to live down the street. He said it was as good as he remembers the place. When we first got there we scoped out the place. We first went upstairs to the 2nd floor. The bar was not open up there and all drinks and food had to be ordered on the first floor. We then checked out the balcony. It was ok, but it appeared to be run down and the tables were dirty. They had cigarette butts on them. We returned to the first floor and ordered our drinks and appetizers at the bar. Happy hour I believe is from 4-7pm. Don't quote me. I'd call and ask for exact hours. Either way it's really generous hours. We ordered the blistered peppers and the tots with 3 sauces (Happy Hour Menu $5). Both were really good. I've never had the peppers before and I was happily surprised. Only one pepper had a kick to it and the rest were mild and it appeared to have a maple syrup sauce on them and crispy bacon. We took our drinks to the first floor balcony which was much cleaner and had high top tables. It did get a little breezy as the night went on, but it was perfect for a warm summer night. They soon brought our appetizers to our table. We had a number on our table so they knew who to bring the order to. We were a table for 4 and the two appetizers were plenty. As we sat there and chatted we eventually ordered our main dishes from the QR code pasted to the center of the table. It was surprisingly a success. I never seem to have good experiences with those QR codes. In a little bit they brough our orders out. 2 ordered salads, the strawberry fields with spinach and another salad. My husband and I shared the bacon and cheese burger. With the appetizers I could hardly finish my burger half. It came with Pup Chips which were really good. Even better than the burger. Overall it was a good experience. I'm glad we didn't sit inside one because it was cold and two it was pub quiz night, and it got pretty loud inside. They did bring in a good crowd for their pub quiz night. Parking is street parking only, which can be a little frustrating, but it's not as busy as other parts of town so you could probably find a space around the corner on L street. I've come to Kupros for different occasions whether it's a casual drink or a destination stop along a holiday bar crawl. Whatever the occasion is, Kupros has you covered! They offer brunch on weekends, but I find myself coming to experience a night out since the scene is more lively. This past weekend, I ordered the Santa's Cookies and Milk holiday cocktail, and it was my favorite drink of the night! Service was exceptionally fast. Figured out that it was seat yourself and order via QR code. Would have been nice if any one of the several (at least 5) staff members present (bartenders, servers, etc) stopped by to let us know about any of that process. Zero interaction with staff unless someone was bringing our drinks or food. Maybe 10 other people besides us and the staff. Food was meh. Had a chicken wrap which was okay and the chicken strips, which were small and dry. Both with tots, nothing special there. Overall, it was a recommendation that we'll likely not try again. Came in here on whim when I saw the place while driving by around break time. Checked the menu on their website and thought "that poutine looks pretty good" so I stepped in, ordered it and paid then got a table. No complaints about the staff. The place looked alright at first and I didn't see the upstairs area, but it seemed that many of the booth seats had big tears in them. The food took a bit longer that I thought it would but not too long. But then I got the food. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of it but this was the biggest picture disappointment I've had in recent memory. The website picture featured a deep brown gravy, large discrete cheese curds and beef pieces, and an herb topping. What I actually got was a plate of fries with a thin gravy that was lightly colored gray with a little brown and a weak flavor, some small beef pieces that were a bit dry, soft fries, and no cheese curds at all... just a light melting of what seemed to be grated cheese. I am tempted to make it a 1-star review because I was really looking forward to that pictured poutine, but it seemed like the front-of-house people were making an effort. read more

The craftsmanship is great! Second, love how the house is separated. This place was also very clean and organized . I was not expecting much from the bar but I was so surprised they had a lot of top shelf liquor like Eagle Rare and Weller Bourbon . I ended up ordering a White Linen and it was so delicious one of the best I ever had . A White Linen is a refreshing drink but some places don't do it right but our bartender nailed it !! Kupros is a staple in Sacramento. They have outdoor seating, bar seating as well as booth seating and two floors. The bartenders are always great and beer roulette is a fun way to try new breweries. Not only do they serve up good drinks, but the food isn't bad either. We usually grab a spot at the bar and stay for a drink or two and potentially some food. They can get busy, especially when there's a Brew Bike coming through, but they're great at keeping up with the traffic. The hours are great and if you're hungry this is a great option for drinks and food. We prefer it when it's less busy, but it's easy to check and decide whether to stay or head out to a different location. read more

They also have a bar on both levels. Gender neutral restrooms upstairs. The drink was similarly priced but tasted watered down My friend got the happy hour white wine and tots. Both were also generously served for happy hour prices. Bartender with the short curly hair working the upstairs bar on 2/4/26 was terribly rude. Asked him for recommendations and he was just incredibly unreceptive and was annoyed at us for asking simple questions. Every question we asked was met with some short, sarcastic, or dismissive answer. He seems like he hates his job and his whole life. I'm actually surprised that he is employed anywhere. It wasn't really a busy night so there was no reason for him to be like that. Dude needs to get a grip and get it together, especially if he's interacting with the general public on a daily basis. If you're looking for a nice spot to relax and have a drink, Kupros is not the place, at least not when that guy is working. If you want to go to a bar and feel absolutely terrible about your life, maybe frequent Kupros and hangout with that dude. I especially wouldn't ever bring a woman to this place. They used to have a parking lot behind them but now there's a brand new building there, so parking is slightly problematic. Other than that I would definitely visit Kupros over and over again. I've always wanted to try Kupros Craft House and finally managed to make it there on a weekend afternoon. Kupro has casual and welcoming vibe. They operate out of a renovated Victorian house so it was a trip to meander through the restaurant after placing our order at the beautiful bar with the gorgeous stained glass ceiling. Staff was pretty cool and gladly answered our questions about their beer choices on tap and a few menu items. We ended up trying the Steak Salad and Kupros Craft House Burger. At the time we visited, there was seating outside in the front of the restaurant. But, we went upstairs and found ourselves a table near a casual seating area with a couple of couches and a TV. Our food was brought to our table after a short wait. The steak on our salad was cooked a perfect medium-rare and went great with the romaine lettuce, crispy fried onion strings, tomatoes, radishes, blue cheese crumbles, and balsamic vinaigrette. Such a classic salad but not many manage to pull it off as fantastically as Kupros! As for the Kupros Craft House burger with fries, it was big enough for two! The bun was tender, the 1/2 lb patty was flavorful and also perfectly medium-rare, plus the gooey melted white cheddar cheese and crispy bacon made this burger simply amazing.
