Service was great, food was okay (bar food). My issue... the drinks, my side of Grand Mariner had gnats in it which means their liquor bottles have gnats in them, which means they don't cap or wrap their bottles (or check them). I get this happens but it your bartenders are checking the bottles on the regular it would have been caught. read more

Went in yesterday with family for brunch and watch some football. When we got there they had only two people at the bar and no one at any tables. There was a specific game we were wanting to watch, but they put us at a table where we couldn't see the game, again all the table were open. Both the drinks my wife and I ordered were wrong. It was obvious the female bartender has no idea what she is doing. Waiter would disappear for long periods of time. Once we finally got our orders two of the four orders we made incorrectly. One was a hamburger cooked medium, it was beyond well done. Eggs ordered over medium were well over done. Yoke was hard and completely cooked. When I told the waiter my order was not right he got annoyed and just went and got the manager. Manager appeared unhappy he had to leave his office and deal with this. He did offer to remake the order, but at this point I was done and just wanted to leave. We have been here many times and was one of my favorite places to go when in the area. It is sad this place has declined so badly. We did go to a restaurant across the street and had a wonderful experience. read more

My boyfriend and I went here for restaurant week! We made a reservation, but there were plenty of seats open at 7pm so that was nice! We got a spot hero in a garage a couple blocks away for $7. We sat down and I'd say within 30 minutes the place filled up. Now I'm not sure if there were only 2 servers, but our service was super slow. We ordered drinks and those even came to us after our first course. The chili was a bit cold too, so we had a feeling it may have been sitting for awhile before it was brought to us. All around the food was okay. The pizza just tasted like cheese pizza with toppings thrown on. I would say the best parts were the cheese curds and then the sundae! If I could select my dessert again, I'd pick that over the ice cream sandwich. Average place. read more

We were there twice over the GBAF 2024 and both times were excellent. Night 1 we just made the food cut off and night 2 we were not rushed. Food was great (for the most part) service was close to terrible. Reuben with fries was awesome and the lady liked her shrimp tacos. Her salsa was spilled all over the plate upon arrival and took almost an hour for food to come out. Got a second pretzel (not sure if on accident or if they felt bad for entree's taking so long). Server never told us his name. Drinks also took some time to get originally and second round. Pretzel was a 6/10. Definitely had better but not horrible. read more

This is a great spot to take a break from shopping and grab some drinks! They have a fabulous margarita made with fresh lime juice, not that pre mixed sugary stuff. We came in just for a snack but when I read the description of the Rita I knew I needed one. I ended up having 2. I would've had more but at $11a pop I settled for 2. I got the cheddar soup to eat and it was devine on a chilly afternoon. I thought it was odd it wasn't served with bread or crackers. I asked for some and was given 4 crackers. I needed more but knew I'd be having lunch soon so it was no big deal. My party sat at the bar and we received fast and friendly service. This place was a great stop! The environment of Henry's Tavern is very welcoming and like-able. However considering it was a slow night I was surprised that the service was quite slow as well. The servers were nice and friendly, they had a good happy hour, but the food wasn't very good. We ordered the pretzel as an appetizer, looking at past photos you would think it would be a HUGE delectable pretzel, however they serve you two half cooked/ dry store bought pretzels with ok sauces. I got the Tinga Tanga tacos which were very dry and tasteless, the avacado that it was garnished with was hard when you bit into it. My girlfriend got the chicken alfredo which was good considering it wasn't you're typical alfredo. Overall 3 stars, and disappointed because this place has a lot of potential. read more

FIRE THE MANAGER. Service was terrible but not because staff wasn't trying. They were clearly stretched thin and I overheard someone quit mid shift. God bless the bartender who covered the wrap around bar & then covered us at a high top and personally ensured we got our food. Hostess kept trying to seat people but all the tables were left unbussed. Place closes at 9 so you could see operations dwindling at 8 but bar was full of customers still. Don't recommend going here until they figure out their staffing. read more

Denver-style pub in the heart of 16th street mall activity! Good drinks, and good service. Plenty of seating at tables or booths. Food is good, but not inspired or great. Chicken fingers were crisp and tasty. (Not greasy.) Shrimp Fettucine Alfredo had the thickest sauce in the world; it was like Gorilla Glue! Took a lot of liquid to wash it down, but maybe that was the plan. Sit near the front window, and watch pedestrians. The people-watching is the highlight! read more

The atmosphere is great! Drinks are on par with being a bar and grill. Server was solid, could use some improvement. BUT what truly set the experience apart from an average dinner was the manager Vinny who accommodated my severe food allergy without hesitation. He went above and beyond. When I wrote Yelp reviews, they are heavily weighted on service (unless the food is terrible or phenomenal). Tonight we went to Henry's with a very large work group. (20+ attendees) I'll give you the good and the bad. Here's the good-Sierra was our server and she was great! Despite being the only server for half the restaurant, we never felt like we waited long and all the food came out as per our order. Even the waters stayed full. If my rating was just based on food, it would be 3 stars but service definitely added to the experience. Now the not so good-whenever you try to put together a corporate group like this, anyone in hospitality should know the final group number is very in flux. We showed up with 2 more people than we reserved and when we asked for the last two to be sat at our long table we were met with a hard NO by the manager. He was literally going to make two people from our party sit across the restaurant from us. Seriously??? Luckily we had Sierra. She saw the situation unfolding and explained to the manager she was up for the task. Luckily for us, we had the right server. Thanks for making it right. read more

Is it possible to give a business negative stars? Don't bother. Just don't. There are plenty of other establishments downtown that are worthy of your time and money. Sitting front and center at the bar and I still wasn't served. Completely ignored. Everyone around me served. By the time I finally got the barkeep to stop and acknowledge me, it had been over 40 mins and I had to leave to go to my show. Definitely my fault for waiting that long. read more

The only reason I give two stars is the bartender was very nice as was the server once we moved from the bar to a table. The bar smelled TERRIBLE. They said it was the corner we sat at but we moved, twice, and the smell was still there. It didn't smell bad at the table. We ordered a steak dinner- almost 30 and the steak was tough, missing the bourbon butter, the potatoes were meh and I think the broccolini wasn't fresh. Went into Henry's Tavern after the GABF in Denver. Atmosphere was really nice, and food was more than fantastic. Our server did a great job with how busy it was getting there. We had our card ran more than once unfortunately but after talking to the general manager Vinny, he afforded no time correcting the mistake. Went here for a drink so we can relax and get away from the heat. It was Mojito Monday and we order the drinks. We went to sit at the bar and when the bartender came to us, he asked us what we would like as he handed the menu to us. I told him we were here for drinks and then he took the menu away from us. My friend said, we would like to have 2 mojitos and he serve to us immediately. The mojitos were okay, by okay, it was not that strong, mint was bitter and pretty much water down. We had better. The service here was on par. But aside from a great location near the 16th Street Mall, nothing was good. We had a person who was next to us waited on his food for a while and we could see that he was getting anxious. He had to call the bartender twice to see when his food was going to be out. And each time, he said they food will be out in 5 minutes, but it didn't until he mention about his food. We was glad that we didn't order the food and just the drinks only. read more

I was overcharged on my credit card statement with the tip amount increased. I called and reported the issue. Call was intercepted and never spoke or followed up with a manager as promised. Reported issue to answering employee who stated they were first lime and would look up the transaction and present to manager who would follow up. Called again after several weeks without any response. Reported issue again, and again no followup or other??? Also never received Rewards for this visit. I have the credit card receipt available as needed. Given the inappropriate overcharge and multiple attempts to rectify without response, I am escalating this issue to Corporate. read more

Great menu, a ton of options, for both food and beverage. Excellent food. All four of us were thrilled with what we ordered. I got the Peanut Buster Burger. Yes, it has peanut butter as a topping. And YES, it is brilliant. It is enormous, too. Not a burger to pick up and eat - needed silverware. We went at an extremely busy time - Saturday at 6pm - but we had a reservation and got right in past the long line. Good service at the right speed. Overall a great experience. Cool hang out spot to watch any time of games. Happy hour starts at 3:00p no exceptions. Ben was our server he was ok but not seemed to be happy. He seemed distracted. He didn't take the time to introduce himself nor did he wanted to know our names. I must say he was just there to work and make his money. I'm big on intros which he didn't do. I only know his name because at the end of our meals when we paid and the check was presented. He did thank us and checked back which is why I'm giving 4 stars, but first impressions are always a biggy. Happy hour prices are great. We got crab avo roll $7.95 which is doubled if ordered on regular menu. The chicken glaze with fried rice was ok but we couldn't finish all. Calamari is really awesome with two types of sauce. Creamy waffle fries it's a lot of fries but I suggest order sauce on side. We sat next to the shuffle boards and they were cool and it was free to use. Have fun!!! read more

The whole experience was kinda underwhelming. I wanted to like Henry's but too many things turned us off. I had the bison burger, and this was the best part for me. It was cooked to my temperature preference and had just the right flavor mix of blue cheese, bacon and onion straws. The fries were totally unremarkable. My partner ordered the tinga chicken margherita flat and enjoyed it. The constant loud boxing programs pumped through the whole space was a turn off. It has a big warehouse feel & echo, definitely not a "tavern" vibe. The servers and staff seemed gloomy and uninterested, like they really didn't like working there. Sierra was great, though. Next time we're downtown for an event, we'll not go back to Henry's. read more

I was in Denver for a conference with my colleagues and we made reservations for 18 people at Henry's . I'm sorry to say , they didn't have our reservation. After speaking to manager , he resolved the situation at got a room in the back. This was great because it Monday night football and the MLB play offs. After we ordered our drinks and waited for sometime, our server said the bar is backed up . As the drinks were brought to the table, the beer was warm . After letting the server know, she said the taps are down. Again, this is a sports bar and it's Monday night football and the MLB playoffs. I ordered a pizza and a Caesar salad. The pizza was good, but I never did get the salad. I believe our server was overwhelmed and needed help with 18 people. All in all, the food was good and we did eventually get a cold beer. This place has a cool vibe and food. They just need a little work on the service and maybe a few more choices on the menu. read more
