What made it even more frustrating was that another shop had recently inspected and repacked the bearings, yet the axle still smoked and failed shortly afterward. When I called Henry's, they were already slammed with work and initially didn't have room in the schedule. After hearing my situation and understanding that I had a family trip planned, Holly and the team went out of their way to fit me in. That kind of customer service is rare these days. They replaced my axles, got everything taken care of quickly, and gave me confidence that the trailer was ready for a long trip. We successfully made it all the way to Montana and back down the west coast, 4300 miles without a single issue. They handled everything start to finish, towing, diagnosing the issue, and fixing it the right way the first time. No runaround, no guessing, and no "band-aid" fixes like you get from most places. The owner (Royce) was rude and disrespectful on the phone when I called and spoke to him about a trailer.

Just finished what I would consider a horrible experience with Henry's trailer. Dropped my trailer off in the beginning of the week. I stressed to Holly that because it had been sold I needed it done by Friday. She said no problem and quoted me right at $1460 CASH and said that it would be ready for me by Friday. I called later in the week to confirm that it would be ready and then was told that there would be a small "rush" fee and the trailer would be done by Thursday. Now please understand I NEVER said I needed my trailer early, I just needed it done by the date that had been promised to me when the qoute was given to me. When I showed up Thursday to pick it up the owners were no where to found but the worker there told me to get my trailer I would have to pay over $1940 in cash. I was desperate to get my trailer so I paid the $1940 in cash and went on my way. What happened next was unreal, now keep in mind I am a very easygoing non confrontative person who has NEVER left a bad review on anyone but felt that what happened to me was unfair and that I was spoke to disrespectfully , so I left a review that I felt was honest on google. If they had just acknowledged my complaint I was planning on removing the review as I did not want to hurt anyone, especially what appeared to me to be a family run repair shop. It did not end there. Henry's trailer then called me entitled, ungrateful and untruthful on google. Then today, my wife called me in tears to tell me that Henry's trailer was going to file a law suit if I did not remove the review and I could be fined up to $43,792. I was worried about how upset my wife was so I drove directly home. There was a letter that was duct taped to my door from Midway Law Firm that said they had been instructed by Henry's trailer to "immediately and aggressively file a law suit in Superior Court against us beacuse I left a bad review that was false amd malicious. The same letter was left in an unmarked envelope in my mail box with my misspelled name and misspelled address hand written on the front. I am trying really hard not to be vindictive but just give an honest opinion from my perspective of dealing with Holly. They seem to do good work but make sure that you get several quotes from the different trailer repair facility all whom do great work. read more

Long story short my trailer tire started to smoke because I had not serviced it in a while, my fault, late Thursday night I called them and within an hour they had a flatbed out to help me. She put me in the front of the line and had my family and I on the road later on the next day to make our vacation happen. Never again!! Too many broken promises. I don't know how they can stay in business operating the way they do. After trusting the inspection and repairs and them taking 13 working days to do a 1 day job. Then after using the trailer 300 miles, found the winch that holds the boat in place had nudged backwards to create the dangerous condition of too light of a tongue weight creating a deadly dangerous condition. I went and bought some new bolts to secure the winch moved the winch back to the correct position to where 10% of the weight was back on the tongue. Worst experience I have ever had with a company that deals with transportation products. You only get to cheat me out of my money once Henry! read more

Beware! Henrys Trailers gave an initial quote of $3100.00 to fix a trailer but insisted that they take the trailer apart before providing a final quote. The final quote was more than $4500. So they were told, no and to just put the wheels back on. They told me it would be $2000.00 just to put wheels back on and they insisted they would need to do repairs or the trailer would not be returned. I had no choice. They said the parts will be delivered overnight, and they were not...7 days worth of work was lost. They also unloaded the trailer freight with out permission which caused problems. Avoid Henry Trailer so something like this this doesnt happen to you. FE trailers is superior in price, service and integrity, that is who I will use in the future. read more

I have used Henry's Trailer Repair multiple times. The staff is very knowledgeable and service is really good. They use quality parts and get you out in a timely manner. They have helped me on the road with a broken hub with their roadside assistance when I was out of options- my boat was too big for tow truck and it would have cost a lot of have it loaded with 18 wheeler. They handled my insurance claim and recommended upgrades so I would have safer tow in the future. They also did service on my small boat trailer which was better than I thought. Not sure what I can say about the fine folks at Henry's Trailers other than they are Top Notch! Short story long; Back in July 2020, boat trailer had two tire blowouts which destroyed the trailer brakes and electrical wiring....wheel bearings were shot out! I searched online and found Henry's Trailer Repair. I called right away and spoke to Holli...this girl is super sweet and really knows her stuff. She got my trailer in within a few days of me calling and when I dropped off the trailer, Hollie explained, in detail, everything that they would need to do. Within a few days of drop off, my trailer was fixed and ready for our family trip to the river. Now before I finish this review, here is one example of why Henry's Trailer Repair is truly the best of the best. Fast forward to March 2, 2021...I take boat to local mechanic to do some engine maintenance. Well, at some point they needed to move my boat and trailer, but they failed to recognize the surge brakes where activated and managed to destroy one of the brake calipers. The mechanic tried to pass blame on pretty much everyone but himself on the damage. I decided that the best thing to do was just schedule a time to take it back to Henry's to fix it. Again, I spoke with Holli and asked if I could bring it in for repair. She scheduled me right away and actually told me they would send their truck out and pick the trailer up for me. Wait, what? Who does that? Henrys does!! At the end of the day, the folks at Henry's went above and beyond for me and my family! We were happily rolling down the 5 freeway towing our travel trailer, looking forward to a few days of camping in San Diego. Suddenly a car pull up beside me blowing their horn and waiving at me. I rolled down the window and she was pointing at my trailer, saying: "Your trailer is smoking!" I had lost a bearing... After a night in a hotel I started trying to find a mobile RV service. When I explained my issue the told me I needed a trailer repair service. After trying several with no luck, i called Henry's. They we were 60 miles away but agreed to come. I have nothing but praise for this company. Royce arrived and did a temporary repair so he could tow it to his shop. They quickly assessed what was needed and called me. They ordered the parts and we waited. Holli is a superhero in dealing with the insurance company, and was always patient with me when I called and kept me informed. To top it off, they were extremely reasonable on the final cost! So 5 stars all around! They know what they're doing, they do it well, and for a very reasonable price. I took my 17 year old trailer in for repairs/service. They inspected it top to bottom and installed a custom axle and only replaced the parts needed. I went from drum to disc brakes and my trailer runs better now than when it was new. My bill was less than the estimate, as they would not replace parts that were still serviceable. I am 100% satisfied. High quality parts with the option of custom parts made onsite. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The owners are very honest. We are preparing for our annual trek out to Laughlin and I needed to have my trailer serviced to make sure that we did not encounter a disaster in the middle of the desert. I had reached out to Henrys Trailer Repair about getting my boat trailer in for a service. Sadly, they could not get me in very quickly. I chose one of their competitors who happened to be very close by. When I received my trailer back from service, there was a Henrys invoice attached to it. My service folks had used Henrys for all of the parts! I wanted to grab a spare hub, ready to go, just in case of us getting into any trouble. I drove back out to Henrys with my invoice in hand to get exactly what they had sold the week prior. I pulled in and realized that I had probably come at one of the worst times of the week for them (Monday at 9:20 AM). I pulled in and Holli immediately walked over to me to see what I needed. I procured the invoice and she figured out who I was and what I needed. I parked off to the side (as much as I could) and waited. One of the service guys came out with a hub with all of the parts. I was hoping for a completely ready to go set up in case we ended up on the side of the road. Holli came back out and took care of it. Within 5 minutes they had put everything together, packed it with grease, sealed it with blue masking tape (for travel), and put it into a box. Spare hub ready! Holli came over and explained to me that my specific hub was rare and then told me all of the parts that went with it. I was SUPER impressed with the depth of her knowledge. She didn't look into any books, sheets, or manuals. She consistently rattled off part numbers and explained why my set up was the way it was (my manufacturer opted for a not tapered axle). While sitting and waiting, it was fun to watch the whirl of activity. Holli receives everyone out front and keeps it all moving. It is super refreshing to watch someone at work who is so on top of their game. It is getting to be more and more rare as time goes on. If you have your boat picked up by them, be sure to follow your boat to the shop to put your cover on yourself. I told Holli where the cover was, but they did not put it on the boat when it arrived at the lot. My boat was sitting in their lot for 19 days without a cover. The pontoon boat ended up covered in debris and seats were damaged due to sun exposure. Though Holli refused to take responsibility for not putting the cover on (in spite of re-assuring me she would do so when the boat got to the lot), she was willing to pay to have some of the damage to the boat repaired (but only by a vender of her choosing). read more

Unprofessional, Incompetent and Dangerous! Took six hours to service my brakes and repack bearings. I got 200 miles up the road and had one of the brand new brake assemblies, they put on, lock up and blow a tire. When I removed the brake drum to try and figure out what went wrong, The "new" brake looked like it had been been sitting on a shelf for 20 years. Checked all my other lug nuts and found that they all were below torque. I was also quoted $625 for the work but received an invoice for $1200 Do not go here, they cost me lost time and money, not to mention they could have caused an accident! Update, spoke with Royce on the phone and all I got was excuses and was told it was impossible for a brake to lock up. I'm sure they can do great work, but on my trailer it was sub par. read more

Nope. From start to finish, an all around awful experience with customer service. I called more than a few places in San Diego to get quotes and I liked that Henry's had a few good reviews. I really wish I had gone with another company. We pulled up to what basically amounts to a junk yard. Neither my husband and I were fully comfortable leaving our trailer there but went against our better judgement and did. When I called the previous week to make the appointment, I was given an estimate of 160$ for the service we requested. We asked for the axle service and an estimate on any additional services needed to complete a trip to Alaska we had coming up. We also asked for help locating a spare for our trailer. We were never given a receipt or any record at all that they had our trailer. Royce told us he would have it done soon and we went on our way. Almost two weeks goes by and I call to find out what's going on. My husband is convinced at this point that our trailer is stripped for parts and in Mexico by now. Royce tells me that its been done for a while and ready for pick up. Ok....thanks for the call. I asked him to send over the invoice. I have to call three more times until he actually does. The invoice is DOUBLE the estimate. I call. I'm furious. Royce is rude on the phone. Explains that we needed the work done and they did it. I ask why they didn't call if they were doing work above the estimate cost. He says this is always how they've done it and no one has ever had a problem with it. I ask him if he has any idea why I'm upset. He says that he has no idea why I would be upset that the invoice is double the estimate without an approval or ANY COMMUNICATION AT ALL FROM HIS SHOP. He gets even more rude. He has absolutely no idea why I'm upset. Says this is just how he does business. So he never checked on the spare tire, never communicated to us what was going on with our trailer, never checked in that they were going to double the estimate, never asked if we wanted the additional work done, had AWFUL customer service (including an absolutely rude and condescending phone call), never let me know the trailer was done, and was just an all around awful business to work with. Steer clear, folks, this place does not deserved your hard earned dollars. Although, my husband would say the mechanic who did the actual work was a nice guy and very apologetic. It still does not make up for the headache of using this business. read more
