Just finished my hairline micro blading here and I'm so happy to have finally made the time to have done this for myself! I suffered from postpartum hair thinning especially in the corners of my forehead. Never in a million years would I have thought about microblading my eyebrows, as a male, until I took a good look at myself and looked tired even though I was energized. After arriving for my appointment, we got down to numbing my eyebrows, then drawing on a version of eyebrows that I wanted, then the artist comes and recommends her version based on yours. Once you confirm, off you go! Full disclosure: I have a strong fear against sharp objects or needles on my body and the artists here were very supportive, reassuring me verbally, but also doubling down on the numbing cream. DO NOT GO HERE! I never write reviews but I need to warn potential clients so they don't go through the same experience I went through. I am now paying to have my microblading removed professionally because it was so bad. First of all, she draws in the potential design with a THICK DARK BLACK pencil. When I asked her to draw them in more naturally and what it would actually look like healed, she insisted this was the only way to show clients the final look. Does that even make sense??? I should have stopped then and there and walked out but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake. She also shaved a bunch of my brows while drawing them in - something I DID NOT ask her to do. So I stupidly went through with the design and when I saw the final look, they were completely uneven! I told her I didn't like them and she said to just wait because they will heal 30% lighter and shrink. I felt like crying but just decided to wait. They eventually got lighter but because the actual shape was uneven to begin with, it didn't help. They made my whole face look asymmetrical, like I was constantly raising one eyebrow. She offered a free fix with a skin colored microblade to go over the strokes I didn't like but I never went back in. So now, I am paying to have this horrible microblading removed. Please if you are considering going here, do yourself a favor and DON'T! read more

The whole process was so smooth for me! I got the eyeliner tattoo and I was really nervous about the pain and discomfort but the artist Elysia was so sweet and made me feel comfortable the entire time. She kept checking in with me to make sure I was doing okay. They apply a numbing cream for about 20 minutes which stings a bit. The tattoo part was actually pretty painless once the numbing cream was on. I got the basic eyeliner which they do tattoo on the lash line. I am really satisfied with my results!! This is my second visit to Hera Permanent Makeup. I came to this lovely women-owned and operated establishment a year ago because I wanted to get permanent liner done. I did my research and after scrolling through hundreds of Yelp and Instagram accounts of permanent and semipermanent makeup artists, I came across Hera's Instagram page. The precision and natural look done on clients eyebrows and eyeliner was what drew me to them. I got my eyeliner done and I couldn't be happier with the result. Healing time was a breeze and as long as you stick to their aftercare instructions, the results will turn out great. My eyeliner is looking great after a year and 5 months and since I was so happy with how it turned out, I decided to get my brows micro-bladed with them as well. Too often you see pictures of micro blading that comes out too overdone and dark; where it looks like someone stenciled on their eyebrows and it's over defined and not at all natural looking. Update to review to respond to your claims. As what I said still is all true and correct, including you telling me to put down my past negative Yelp review. I've noted down our encounters back then and I'm not "remembering different account of actually happened" as it was written as it happened. I've written detailed notes of our encounters as I was getting something semi-permanent on my face and you kept changing your words in our appointments. P.s there is also a very apparent pattern of gaslight you do on your negative reviews. 1. I've never had microblading or anything for that matter on my eyebrows before your worked on mine. You did not even tell me a single thing about "my scars" before the work and told me after I told you about how your work showed empty spaces. Why tell me after, not before? Also, my main concern was not even the scars; you made my eyebrows SO UNEVEN that it looked like I was raising one eyebrow. 2. I came with an open mind to get what you would recommend me since you are the "expert". I brought a lot of cash in to get what you'd recommend me and even gave you guys a generous tip amount, almost as much as the price would have been with both microblading and shading. The price did not matter, and only your recommendations mattered. You recommended I just get microblading. 3. Again you only recommended microblading. This is not only from my memory and my friend's memory who was also there with me for our first visit; I have notes on our encounters as it was getting something semi-permanent on my face. 4. I have before and after photos. I now have a lot of scars from your work on my eyebrows, as you can see in my photos. Literally left the numerous strokes as scars. How are you going to claim that I've had those scars when I've never gotten microblading or any tattoos on my eyebrows before your work on my eyebrows? 5. I have in my notes that I was hurried out every appointment for touch ups and not even the receptionist helped me after as she was busy talking to other clients. No detailed assessment as you can see from the Unevenness of your microblading work. No measurements were done at all, and results also show different shapes and positions from mockups. 6. You were emotionally yelling at me saying that me posting negative review makes you nervous, it's driving customers away, told me to put the review down, and then proceeded to tell me the same things you're telling me now, that you're giving me complimentary touch ups. I wouldn't have needed these complimentary touch ups if the eyebrows were done evenly. Again as you can see in the photos, the eyebrows were so UNEVEN that it looked like I was raising one eyebrow the whole time. You don't even consider the clients' perspective, as I've told you before as well, that I had to have the Dark, Uneven, Unnatural, and Scabby eyebrows for months because of extended time to heal because of your messed up work and touch ups. If it was done correctly, I would've had to deal with the darkness and scabs for only about a month+/-. You don't consider the stress your clients have to deal with. You only focus on and have continuously complained to me about "I'm giving you complimentary touch ups" when you were the one who messed up on my eyebrows. I looked like I raising one eyebrow whole time with extremely visible scabs and darkness for months. You can keep twisting the narratives as you'd like, but I have notes and pictures of our encounter as it happened. read more
