We stumbled upon this place looking for a dinner spot that had plant based/vegan options. The ambience is beautiful from tables, to chairs to decor (and bathrooms), they really did not miss a beat...it's a classy place. We came in for an early dinner around 6pm on a Saturday as a 2-top and were seated right away. They had 6+ plant based options which was a HUGE bonus for us considering most places in the area have only one option. Extensive wine list and sommelier on staff- the craft cocktails also looked amazing but we stuck with wine. We ordered the bread basket, roasted corn + tomato salad, a side of locally sourced mushrooms, and the eggplant + chickpea entrée and shared everything. The bread is baked in house and the cornbread was drool-worthy! My absolute favorite was the corn and tomato salad with watermelon vinaigrette...it was SUCH a good salad and a shareable portion. We also loved the charred eggplant dish and the mushroom side dish we ordered. They were sizable portions and everything tasted amazing! The mushrooms were some of the prettiest things I've ever seen- such a wide variety and all locally grown (love to hear that!) Service was also impeccable and made us feel special (thanks Brandon!) I was absolutely blown away by this upscale beautiful spot in Whitefish and was not expecting this type of quality service, food, and ambience in Montana coming from Las Vegas. We started in the rooftop lounge and had mules and huckleberry lemonade cocktails. The view was insanely gorgeous up here and perfect for the sunset. Heat lamps. Lounge style couches and chairs. A couple cabanas. Beautiful bar. The staff was friendly and we started with a couple appetizers up here. The chickpea fritters were soooo delicious and flavorful. When we returned downstairs we sat at the bar. The restaurant itself is a little smaller so you would definitely need reservations for a seat. The decor is upscale and modern and there is attention to detail everywhere, even the bathrooms were absolutely gorgeous with mirrors everywhere. One of the nicest restaurant bathrooms I've ever been in. The manager, and bartenders were beyond friendly. Great menu knowledge. There is plant based and Omni options here which is amazing. I had the lions mane mushroom steak and even that was so incredible with the attention to detail. The mushroom is infused with beet juice to give a red beefy look. The flavor was insane. The sauce, puree, beans, everything just meshed together so well. This meal was a highlight of my trip for sure as it was so unexpected! There was no lack of flavor in any of the dishes. Deserts were also great. If I lived there, I would be here all the time! 10/10 for an upscale and beautiful experience all around. read more

So, 2 vegans made a reservation at the nicest restaurant in Whitefish for our anniversary. We walked in and were pleasantly impressed with the ambience. We learned from our waiter, Dennis, that it's a historical building that's been remodeled. Ladies, it has an award winning restroom. But the food, OMG. Dennis made recommendations for chickpea fritters and Lion's Mane. We went to heaven and back. It's rare to find vegan food that doesn't seem like an afterthought. We received a glass of champagne and vegan dessert specially prepared by our James Beard nominated chef. Perfect anniversary meal. read more

If a Dorothy and Toto sized tornado dropped this restaurant into any other major food city on the planet it would immediately make the resident chefs and restaurateurs nervous. We had a 6 pm Saturday evening reservation and arrived on time and were greeted by 2 gracious and informative hosts. We were told to expect great things and they built up expectations which did were met on all levels. The room we were seated in is elegant, refined without being pretentious. Our server Brandon was quick to greet us and take us through the lengthy but not overly fussy cocktail options. His suggestions were informative and honest and we very much appreciated that. We were lucky enough to come on one of the first nights of the new winter menu and Brandon guided us through it nicely. We started with the whitefish corndog snacks- absolutely excellent and reminded me of classic pike quenelles with a crispy beer batter exterior. Wonderful. We had the chicory salad- the chokecherry gastrique was wonderful and not lost on this wonderful dish, and the crab cakes- unlike all other crab cakes, light, perfectly pan fried and filled with crab on a beautiful nitrous charged sauce (was it remoulade?) amazing. The mains we chose were the wagyu and the eggplant and both were wonderful. The fried enoki mushrooms plated with the wagyu stole the show and could easily stand alone as an app or snack here IMHO. The chef touched our table and we were delighted to meet him. This is truly an amazing experience. I dont care about stars or Michelin ratings any longer but this one would earn all to be had in my ratings book. read more

A beautiful space and concept, but the staff's rude and judgmental behavior completely soured the visit. I'd advise them to not openly gossip and speak negatively about paying customers at their stand, which is just feet from the restroom. VERY unprofessional and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Whitefish, and certainly will not be returning. A disappointing and tacky experience for a restaurant that claims to be "upscale". read more

Everything we ordered was delicious. There were 2 issues that could have been better. 1st, the layout of the tables. The tables are so close together. We felt like we were in the way the whole time. The servers were even struggling to get to some tables because it was too crowded. When spending that much money on a meal it would be nice to not feel so crowded. 2nd, there was a group of diners that were incredibly loud. I know this isn't the restaurants fault but everyone around us was visibly annoyed. It would have been nice if a manager had asked them to quiet down. There is no way that what we were served was wagyu beef. It was tough and full of gristle. There were some bites that were not edible. I've had steak from Walmart that was better tasting and less tough. They need to find a new provider for wagyu steak. We won't be back. read more
