Pharmaca recently closed down in the area so I just went to Herbert's for the first time in 3 years. I've been here in the past, but one of my Dr's who was located in this building had retired, and Pharmaca was more convenient for me. Herbert is a kind man with a great sense of humor and has been in business for a very long time. The rest of his staff & team seem to be very friendly too. I needed something today so I had my Dr's office electronically submit the order to Herbert's opposed to Rite Aid & CVS because I like to support local businesses. And I intend to comeback here next time I need something on short office. I'm giving a 5-star rating due to the level of service, friendliness, and the neighborhood feel. But just a little heads-up - parking can be an issue at times along Wilshire Blvd and the residential side-streets...so be sure to pay attention & read the street parking signs. read more

Possibly my favorite pharmacy ever. Friendly and very informative when they give your medication. They are thorough and make sure you're tended to when you enter. It's a quaint little spot on Wilshire inside of a big building. Herbert is genuine and honest. I like how it feels like a family run place. The longest I've waited is 10 mins for a prescription. My doctor sent my prescriptions here the day prior to my surgery. When I stopped in, they were waiting on me, and I paid virtually nothing for them. They worked out everything with my out of state insurance company prior to my arrival. When I picked up my scrips, the pharmacist made certain to go over each medication with me. Then I noticed an article posted in the pharmacy showing that the pharmacist is the owner. It's nice to do business with an owner/operator in a city this big. Personal touch for sure! read more

Not only there is no pharmacy in Beverly Hills such as Herb's, but when it comes to customer service, there is no business in the whole city that compares. Herbert's Pharmacy is like an old school neighborhood pharmacy where your are a patient and not another number in line. There is a real Herbert who is delightful and always ready to answer questions. The pharmacy also delivers locally which is very helpful. I highly recommend over the big CVS type pharmacies. read more

I utilized this pharmacy because I work in the area. I had a prescription send from my doctor and I called the pharmacy to confirm they received it the following day since I hadn't heard anything. When calling the woman asked for my name and date of birth and confirmed she received the prescription and I could pick it up in an hour. I was busy at work so I wasn't able to make it over there. The following day I went to pick it up and a woman with brown hair barely greeted me, and asked the same questions in the same voice and tone of the woman I spoke to the day before, presumably the same person. She pulls up my prescription and all she says is "we don't have this". I then tell her that I had called and confirmed yesterday and someone told me to come in an hour. She then said " that's not true because didn't take your call yesterday", despite me never saying i spoke with her, i just say i spoke with a woman there. She then said why are you here, your prescription isn't available for 14 days anyway, not knowing my circumstances, or that is actually a different prescription. I have never experienced such bad service in my life or been made to feel like i was a liar or unwelcome. I will never go there again. read more

This is the best pharmacy in the Beverly Hills, West Hollywood area. Herb and the staff are always so helpful and professional! They go out of their way to assist the customer and for me, I'd rather go to a neighbor pharmacy than the big box stores. There are not too many left today, and thank goodness Herb's is still there. You are not a number, you are a person. Insurance companies want you to go to their pharmacies and you get a discount, however it is more than worth it to bypass them and give your business to Herb's!! read more

I've been going to Herb's Pharmacy for almost 30 years. When I moved to Santa Monica, I still drove across town to see Herb when I needed a prescription filled. Thankfully, I live close by again and I STILL receive the best service ever. This is old school great service and Herb is as kind, caring, honest, helpful and knowledgeable as it gets - while also sporting a great sense of humor! He and his staff are top notch and care for you as though you're one of their own family members. I highly recommend Herb and this pharmacy. They go over and above and make you feel at home. Another reviewer gave 2 stars and somehow thinks Herb's Pharmacy was taken over by someone else. Herb must have been out that day, which I've never seen, (he seems to have never had a day off in 30 years)! Perhaps the person filling in for Herb that day was overwhelmed but either way, that review is not at all in line with anything I've ever experienced. This is an excellent pharmacy. read more

This guy is a serious crook. Check your bills and really shop around. He messed with my bill twice; I cane one he just gave me money back, but still ended up over charging me by $80. Came back next day to get my money. I will never be back. Shop around!!!! read more

I drive to Herbert's Rx once a month from Huntington Beach. That should tell you something about Herb and his staff. Unlike the chain Rx's, Herb always has my medication in stock, and if not, he'll have it by next day. He explains everything, a true professional in every sense of the word. Very knowledgeable PharmD, and very nice to chat with while you are waiting for your refills (unless USC loses). I was referred to Herb by my doctor, and now I refer my friends to him.
