I had a prescription transferred to Garfield pharmacy and it was a good experience. The pharmacy I originally had my prescription sent to was out of stock and needed to order it. I was in the area so I walked into Garfield to ask if they had it in stock. They did! They took my information and got my prescription transferred quickly. I got a text when it was ready. Eddie, the pharmacist on duty, was so helpful and lovely. He answered all my questions and helped me shop for another over the counter product I needed in the pharmacy. They have a large selection of over the counter items. It was a pleasure. Park at a meter on the street. Unfortunately, Garfield doesn't validate parking it you park in the medical building. read more

*Garfield is a Cool Cat* I like to support local businesses when I can opposed to cooperate chains (like the one across the street) and went to this pharmacy for the first time - though I've walked by several times in the past. I was told they don't carry the exact item I was seeking. But, John, the pharmacist on duty, suggested contacting one of their competitors in BH, and said if they're unable to accommodate me, call him back and he'll try to figure something out. I was very impressed with his suggestion, how he handled my request and situation. John was also extremely kind, helpful and understanding. In addition, the young lady at the front counter area was warm & welcoming too. Thought about giving 4-Stars instead of 5 because they didn't have what I needed. But John's recommendation worked out and even though I wasn't able to make a purchase here, I'll certainly keep Garfield Pharmacy on my contact list, and appreciate how they prioritize their first-time walk-in customer needs. read more

I went into the pharmacy today March 4, 2020. They had cold eeze and hand sanitizer which they were selling four times more then the usual price. I find it disgusting that they need to gouge people in a time when people are fearful. I refuse to buy it I'd rather get sick then to pay inflated prices to a place like this. I concur Jason T. I've used this pharmacy purely for convenience, as it is in the same building as my doctor. I had a prescription refilled, and much to my amazement when I arrived home, it had been shorted 30 pills. I phoned them and basically was called a BLATANT LIAR by the female pharmacist who is currently working there. She also screamed that if she was there when I needed another prescription refillled , not to bother. So my suggestion to all people who frequent this establishment, please check your your prescriptions before leaving the premises... Don't be falsely accused as I was .. Cuz you'll be told , TOUGH ROCKS !! Now I need to revise this review .. The previous staff was definitely insubordinate. They have since revamped and hired a new staff of pleasant and courteous humans. In a world where mediocre is standard, there is a handsome new pharmacist whose name eludes me, and he couldn't be more congenial and professional. The little girl(not really) at the register, Leah, provides pertinent info as to time and availability for your prescriptions which is a plus when your schedule is tight for obligations. Absolutely love Garfield Pharmacy, a friend highly recommended I transfer my prescriptions here and I am so glad I did. I used to use Walgreens/CVS and I always felt the pharmacists/techs were in a rush and couldn't answer the questions I had. Kai is amazing at answering any of my questions and if she doesn't have an answer, Eddie the pharmacy manager will thoroughly explain his answers. They definitely make you feel comfortable and don't rush you out. Also, they have next day delivery!!! You don't have to physically go and take time out of your day to pick up meds. AMAZING!! So I"m not a drug addict, I just pretend I am. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff run the show here. The best is that Gloria the cashier makes me practice my Spanish with her. Pharmacist has always been willing to go the extra mile for me when I've forgotten to order my pills. They don't take United insurance, their hours are only during business hours (and closed on Sundays) which are inaccessible, and they are completely unaccommodating with transfers. Both I and another pharmacist called them to get my insurance transferred but no one answered. It's now 3 days later and no one has my prescription. Good to know no one gives a damn. read more

And even rarer, to find one that is so warm and accommodating. Eddie, the pharmacist, is a great guy who treats every patient as an individual. And his staff is the same. So my normal pharmacy CVS was out of my prescription medication. Went to RiteAid and they were also out of the medication (with neither being able to tell me when they might actually be getting it in). I walked out of RiteAid, typed in Pharmacies close by and Garfield was a block away. I walked over, gave them my prescription, asked if they had the medication is stock. YES, they did. 5 minutes later my prescription was filled. So, here is the meat of it... the prices were better than the other two above mentioned pharmacies. I wasn't told I would have to wait an hour for them to fill it. An absolute at the other two, if not longer. The pharmacist and staff were super friendly. I thought I loved this place, they had shingles vaccines when no one else had them, but lately they just can't get it together. Filling prescriptions has been difficult and the pharmicists don't know how to get insurance to pay and I end up paying for the items directly without them going through insurance to move things along. What I really appreciated, was that he actually took the time to discuss the nuanced questions I had about the medication and didn't make me feel rushed. Garfield the garbage of pharmacies Abusive male pharmacist refused to use my son's insurance info. even when the doctor photocopied his card for them. My son was in serious surgery and I politely asked why he wouldn't call the insurance company and the abusive pharmacist said it would take too long.He wanted me to pay cash; which I did as he held the much needed meds hostage. He looked at me as if I were crazy as the other pharmacy can use this card why can't you? Never going back there.
