Just inside the door it was obvious to get a place to sit you better be seated "now!" Everyone was eating, tables were covered with food, it looked great. Our order was taken, the person taking the order was quick, to the point and was not asking how my mother was doing. We were there to eat-not socialize. The receipt was ripped off and passed over with a flick. No instruction given like 'they'll call your number' or 'you pick up over there.' In the next 5 minutes if you paid attention for about 20 seconds you learned how things worked. It was busy, plates looked great and the aroma inside the place was something else. Our food came quick, we sat and began to peel open our pastrami dip sandwiches. Oh, they smelled great. They looked great. The meat was delicious, melt-in-your mouth tender. They did notice us! They like us! I could not imagine how much better a pastrami sandwich could have been. The bread was very good too-you know the Earl of Sandwich was onto to something way back when....the combination of meat and bread was great. The Hat has numerous other locations in the LA area...if you want a beyond generous sandwich you must stop and order the pastrami.

The pastrami burger and onion rings were the highlights for me. The onion rings were super crispy with a nice, light batter. The burger hit the spot too. The fries were a bit underwhelming though, kind of bland and definitely needed more seasoning. Overall, a solid stop if you're craving pastrami, but I'd skip the fries next time.

Stopped by on a Saturday for lunch and picked up the downtown dog. Got in around 1:30pm and walked right up to place my order. For $13 bucks I can't complain because this thing was loaded and a good size for the price. The Downtown dog came loaded with peppers, onions, bacon and mayonnaise and mustard. All hot dog ingredients were definitely of great quality to which I greatly appreciated. Overall, I can't wait to come back here again as this is my closest Dog Haus now. Super thankful to have them out here in TO now. Make sure to keep them in mind the next time your looking for a hot dog or a quick and flavorful bite to eat. You will not regret it, that's forsure. Till next time!

My breakfast burrito was very average, especially for $12. My wife's was $13 and noticeably better than mine, so I may have ordered wrong. The coffee was warm (not hot) and really dark--so dark that even four half-and-half creams barely made a dent. The inside feels more like a cafeteria with long shared tables, which isn't really my vibe. We sat outside instead, but it's right on a busy street, so between traffic noise and tailpipe exhaust, it wasn't exactly the most peaceful breakfast. We also got a front-row seat to someone being pulled over and yelled at by the police, which was... unexpected breakfast entertainment. Not bad, not great. 3 out of 5 stars feels about right.

Walking up feels like stepping into a 90s time capsule in the best way possible. Classic diner vibes, no frills, just hot dogs, burgers, chicken sandwiches and sides. The owners are incredibly kind and efficient, as everything is cooked fresh to order. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating so I grabbed a table outside to soak up that sunshine. Here's what I ordered: Chili Cheese Dog: (upgraded to the Hebrew National) 10/10. Having tried both of their hotdogs, definitely get the Hebrew National over the regular one. It's bigger and more flavorful in my opinion. This thing was loaded. Flavorful chili, melty cheese, and fresh diced onions, all tucked into a perfectly grilled hot dog roll. This is definitely the dog to get if you're torn between all of the options. Street Dog: A bacon wrapped dog with ketchup, mayo and mustard and veggies (I customized mine a bit so opted out of the onion and jalapeño). If you're a fan of bacon wrapped hot dogs, this is always a solid choice too. Pro tip: These hot dogs are HUGE. I was not prepared. One would've easily done the job so next time I'm just grabbing one and adding a side of onion rings because they looked incredible. Overall a very satisfying lunch for under $20 for two dogs and a soda. Great to have a long standing hotdog restaurant in the 805.

They offer a great selection of hot dogs, sandwiches, and other comfort food. The food came out promptly, served hot and fresh. I had their Lucky Dog, a classic chili dog with chili, cheese, and onions. I selected the Hebrew National. It was flavorful and satisfying. It sits between a fir & knife dog and a grab it and eat it dog. The fries were simple but good, and my Crush Orange fountain drink was just as expected. They also handled a to-go order for my dad seamlessly while we were eating. It was neatly packed and ready to go without any delay. I've also ordered from Lucky Dog through DoorDash in the past, and that experience was great as well (photo from this). Overall, Lucky Dog is a reliable and enjoyable spot for a classic hot dog meal.

Mexican, burgers, salads and even taiyaki bowls. 3 of us decided on burgers, the wife had the nachos. You order at the counter, then grab a table. Chips and salsa are brought out. The salsa was fresh, had a little kick to it. The nachos were piled high with shredded chicken and cheese. Topped with pico de gallo and a giant scoop of sour cream and guacamole. The chicken had nice flavor. A quarter pound avocado burger and onion rings was my daughter's choice. Lettuce tomato and hold the onions was her order. She finished the whole thing so she must have loved it. Half pound cheese burger for my son with French fries. A straight forward classic cheese burger with all the fixings. I had the Mexican heart attack burger. Jalapeños, pastrami, bacon, a fried egg and lettuce, tomato, lightly grilled onions with a cheese topped patty. I ate 3 quarters and my son finished it off. The fries were really good. Crunchy exterior soft interior. The margarita was served in a pint glass. The white wine was a heavy pour. Definitely coming back to try more options. Probably getting the carnitas plate next time. I was really torn between those 2 options.
