Drove past this spot and smelled the wonderful aroma from the smoker, and to bust a u-turn quick! They didn't open for two more hours but we had to get some. Luckily the owner came out and was nice enough to take our order and give us some samples. We ordered a whole rack of ribs and weren't disappointed. Juicy & tender, perfect smoky flavor. When I come back to Atlanta I'll be back here for more ribs and some of their sides. read more

But the sides... -Baked beans-tasted like they just poured them out the of the Bush's can -Mac-N-cheese- underwhelming -Green Beans-zero taste but they did throw in some smoked meat to try to jazz it up -Peach Cobbler-lacking in the sweetness department The staff was very friendly and handed out free samples while you wait! Holy cow I regret not coming here sooner! I pass this place every day and finally stopped. When you see the smoke they are open. It is literally a guy out front with 3 big smokers cranking out amazing bbq. I think he uses a mix of charcoal and wood, but it works. The menu is small, no pork, but even the sides are good. I wish they had banana pudding, that would have been a huge win, but the menu shows they usually have cakes. We got a whole slab of ribs, two containers of collards, and potato salad. You can dine inside but I took it to go. Great place, I'm glad its here. Seems like a community staple. read more

If you've ever driven by this restaurant when they are open, you have noticed the smokers out front billowing out smoke. The smell gets into your car and makes you very hungry. I've been meaning to eat there for a while now, and finally got around to it recently. This is really good barbecue. Obviously, the ribs are the highlight. They have the perfect amount of smoke flavor, are super tender and are delicious with or without the homemade sauce. The smoked chicken was also a highlight of our meal there. They have a limited number of sides to choose from, but that doesn't bother me as I am happy to stick to the meats! read more

OK so call me a rib snob I will travel miles out of my way to find that perfect barbecue joint and lo and behold it's on the main drag on the way home to my house they don't have full barbecue menu. But what they do have is the best ribs ever I have been there at least seven times in the last two months waiting to be disappointed and it hasn't happened yet this place is awesome. Service team was friendly, but ordered the chicken sandwich and it came on two white prices of bread with a leg and thigh on it, bone in and all. That isn't a chicken sandwich that's a quarter of a chicken with bread. It had nice flavor by the time I took it off the bone, it was a mess and the whole meal quickly fell apart. I have been to this place several times and usually get the ribs, which are usually good. The last time I got ribs they were a little dry, warmed over. Since then I got a sausage, which have been nice and juicy in the past, but now seemed dry and warmed over. Then more recently I got a chicken sandwich and it was BURNED. When they replaced it, the chicken was dry and had knife cuts in it and still super dark. When I tried to eat it, a little spicier than usual. Not sure what has happened. We have eaten here twice so far everything taste really good. The first time I had the chicken sandwich it had a nice smoky flavor and little spicy but I would definitely order it again. The second trip I finally got a chance to try their rib plate because they were out of chicken and the ribs were DELICIOUS!!! The ribs weren't spicy at all they taste nice and fresh. Ribs were excellent, best we've found in Georgia so far! I ordered a full slab because I wasn't sure how much I'd get. I got two full containers because they give you the tips as well. The rib flavor is wonderful - smoky, a bit spicy, a slight hint of sweet. But the meat requires a lot of chewing. The ribs are meaty, super dense, yet not very moist and meat is not falling off the bones. I'll be dicing it up and using it over a salad and for flavor in my greens. Great smoked meat and the owner is so nice and cool. However, sometimes we feel we taste lighter fluid. It's not always, but has happened several times. The sides only come in one size and are expensive. The desserts aren't the best in my opinion. The banana pudding is instant. I was hoping for baked real custard.
