The free samples of ribs were absolutely delish. I am no expert on ribs or ever crave ribs but these ribs made me want to eat them all. We wanted to try the chicken but they had sold out and had put a new batch on the grill by 3:30pm. I can only imagine they're as good as the ribs. We opted for trying the sausage plate and the sausage were good but the sides were not great. The potato salad was good but the coleslaw just had wayyy to much mayonnaise. The ribs are generally pretty good, The chicken is very good too. It's kind of an in & out place , they offer some custom juices, deserts. The juices are a little pricey considering the size but are fairly competitive with another place I know. I don't care for the condiment table where there's some community bottles of 1 bbq sauce, mustard etc. In these times I understand saving money but I'm not hot on using containers somebody else has used. Can't recall if there's hand sanitizers, I think there might be 1. They have great music playing inside & out, lots of lightning outside & chairs lined up around the edge of the main room. It's cool. I'm not a big ribs person so I get the chicken. the chicken is decent and not a bad option vs. fast food. The sides are not that good. Needs to work on the Mac and cheese. Ok, I am leaning more towards 4 but here are my reasons. I'm used to Chicago style bbq and grew up around really good bbq so have been looking for the similar taste. First let me say they have great customer service. You get a sample and if you want sauce you have the option to put it on yourself. I got the rib dinner because the sandwich which is 10 doesn't come with any sides. I think 10.00 is a little overpriced for just a sandwich so I went with the dinner to taste the sides. I got mac and cheese and baked beans. I live 5 min away got home and Mac cheese was lukewarm Baked beans were hot enough and taste very good. I will put everything back in the oven and I'm sure that will help. I wish fries were offered if you wanted to purchase just a sandwich. Bbq sauce is good, maybe I'm just a rib tip snob. You do get plenty with your order so don't get me wrong. I would be willing to return to try something else. I was in the mood for bbq ribs and saw this place pop up on Yelp under black owned businesses so I checked the reviews and pics and said I'll try it. I called a few times first to ask questions before I drove all the way over there but no one ever picked up the phone. I think the number listed is a cell phone. It was a good amount of people waiting to order food. There was a man handing out samples of a rib tip in a napkin to everyone who entered. I placed an order for rib plate which is 3 ribs and 6 tips plus 2 sides. I saw on Yelp they had collard greens on the weekend and wanted to confirm when I called but was sad to see they did not. They also were out of green beans. I ordered potato salad and corn. It's an extra .50 if you want a container for sauce on the side. They were quick to take orders and get them passed out. There is a table with sauce in a bottle for you to add your own sauce to the meat. Only one type of sauce available. Personally I thought the bbq sauce was on the sweet side and I didn't care for it. It's very small inside so I checked my food when I walked to my car. I tried the corn and it was so bland with absolutely no seasoning. Straight out the can and cold. They give 2 pieces of white bread under the meat and mines were soggy and cold. The one piece of rib tip I bite into was full of fat. I was extremely disappointed in the food so I went back inside. Herb who was tending to the grill saw and stopped me to ask what was wrong. I explained to him how disappointed I was in the food and he went back into the kitchen. A few moments later he came back with a new container of food. I opted for a double side of potato salad since the corn was awful. He gave all new bread and new ribs as well as a container for the sauce on the side. And Thanked me for my business. I opened the new container and checked everything and it looked better. Be sure to check your order before you leave bc the lady ahead of me food was completely wrong. Once I started eating the potato salad was pretty good. The rib tips personally are a waste of money bc it's all gristle and bone I don't know why people order them bc there's hardly any meat on them. Like maybe one bite worth of meat. The 3 actual ribs is where the meat was. The seasoning on the ribs didn't wow me at all and the bbq sauce did nothing to enhance the flavor. I've had better more flavorful ribs at a chain restaurant where they don't have a smoker out back. I appreciated Herb for remaking my order but sadly I won't be returning nor would I recommend this place to anyone. read more

You walk in the hut and are welcomed to a free sample of their famous ribs. I couldn't decide if I wanted ribs chicken or sausage but when I tasted that sample I was sold! The ribs are fall off the bone tender and have an delicious rub on them. The bbq sauce was spectacular as well. Had baked beans and slaw as a side and was very impressed. As soon as you walk in they hand you a sample 5 star I am super picky, We eat very healthy and about 80% or more organic and not much meat especially pork BUT We love food and we LOVED Herbs ribs. We love the atmosphere on a beautiful Georgia day with the smoke rising from the smokers/grill Perfect flavor and tender.
