UPDATE: I'm updating my review to 4 stars. I love how kind and responsive the owners are (to my review and others), which shows true pride in their store and how they stand behind their products while also wanting to explain them well to consumers. That's rare nowadays. Service is always fast, place is clean, vibes are good, and although I haven't found my perfect drink here, my husband and I would still come back in the future to try to find what works for us. Thank you! We came after lunch today around 2 PM on a Saturday. While it's normally bustling in there, we were surprised to see just a few tables taken by one or two people, so maybe the college crowd has gone home for summer or something or more come in the later afternoon. Anyway, we decided to give this place a shot again since our first visit was awhile ago. This time, we ordered the ube matcha with oatmilk and the matcha lavender latte. Ube Matcha (3/5): My husband ordered it hot and requested oatmilk. It wasn't labeled in such a way anywhere, but he's super sensitive to dairy (we didn't have any dairy for lunch) and he's been suffering for it this afternoon. Not sure if they messed up. He also prefers more caffeine and this matcha felt a bit light, although he admittedly does black coffee and mixes his own ceremonial matcha with water at home. In trying his and my matcha, I think the matcha flavor is still lighter than I'd like too. It's not a bad cup, but maybe the matcha drinks are just lighter than our personal taste preference. Lavender matcha (3/5): Lavender and matcha flavor are both light. I imagine they use actual lavender infused syrup so it's not as strong as the artificial stuff, which is fine, but it's more of the matcha flavor that I still find on the weaker side than I'd like. I'm not ready to give up on this coffeeshop entirely as I like to support my local shops, but maybe I just haven't found the right drink yet. Now that I've tried three matcha drinks from here, maybe it's just not to my taste and perhaps something stronger from the coffee menu will be better suited. 'Til next time!
Came here on a weekday to get some caffeine and something small to eat. They had a good amount of customers inside for a weekday. Ordering was quick and our items took about 10 minutes total. My boyfriend got the flat white whereas I got the matcha latte with a ham and cheese croissant. My boyfriend thought the flat white tea tasted just okay since he usually only gets Vietnamese coffee. The flat white had a twist to it not like regular flat whites I'm used to where it's more of a balanced and mellow taste. The matcha latte I got was delicious, I throughly enjoyed it. The ham and cheese croissant was hot and crispy. It tasted like more breading than ham maybe because the ham was on one side of the croissant haha. Nice place for a caffeine and pastry pick me up. They're also dog friendly and had a dog water bowl outside from what I noticed!
Here and there hits again. Finally and ube matcha or matcha ube that actually taste like ube! The drink is almost too sweet if you don't mix it well, but one that matcha ube equilibrium is achieved, the drink is such a nice sweet treat. I almost wish there was multiple cup sizes at this coffee shop so I could order a large of their drinks. Anyways, be there or be square so go to here and there .
My wife and I absolutely love Here & There and were thrilled to see them open up this second location. The original at Rodeo 39 is great (although parking can be a chore at times) and this one is even larger with plenty of seating room and the same great quality of drinks and service. Here & There has become our Saturday morning go to coffee joint. The owner is friendly as is the staff, the drinks and pastries are phenomenal and the vibe is chill and welcoming. I am pretty basic in my drink preference which is normally a standard iced vanilla latte but the one offered here is flavorful and always consistent in quality and taste. I also love the Orange Mocha as well and it is chock full of great orange and mocha flavorings. I am not a matcha person (its simply is not a taste I have acquired) but my wife loves it and the matcha drinks here are among her favorites. If you love matcha, you will love the double matcha as well. They also have a rotating seasonal menu as well so keep checking back. The parking at this location has always been ample to this point and its great to see them thriving in this area and in the former spot of Somethin'. If you like flavorful lattes, great coffee, delicious pastries and friendly service then this is definitely a coffee shop you need to stop in and check out.
Good espresso. Really great drink combinations. I recently came and ordered the Vienna, which comes with espresso + milk + sweet cream + sea salt. I didn't realize they closed at 4pm until they cut the WiFi and music right on the dot and started cleaning so that was my cue to leave lol! I'll definitely recommend this coffee shop to others. Side note: they're also pet friendly! I noticed that they had a water bowl outside and treats available at the counter.
Such a spacious coffee shop. I happened to stop by on a Tuesday morning around 9am. I asked the worker which syrups were house made: demarara and ube coconut. I went with the demarara which he described being similar as brown sugar. I ended up choosing that and it was really good! Will have to bring my laptop next to do some work!
I ordered a double matcha with oat milk and daughter ordered a Ube matcha with regular milk. I was charged an extra $.50 for the oat milk. My drink was creamy, but a tad too sweet for me. I've had better double matchas elsewhere. Ube latte was yummy. Lots of parking in the shared lot with Stater Bros.
I've never had Pistachio Matcha Latte but now this is THE drink that I like to get! Here & There is located in the same plaza as the Stater Bros and there's ample parking, which is also a plus. They have communal tables, seatings against the wall, and a standalone bench for folks to sit while waiting for their order. They also have a lovely outdoor patio seating. When I went in on a Saturday afternoon, there were lots of people but the line moved fairly quickly. Even though the menu didn't list Pistachio Matcha Latte, when I asked if it was still available, they confirmed that they could make it--so of course, I ordered one. The latte was perfectly nutty and rich in matcha flavor. I wanted to get the Marshmallow Biscoff cookie and Pistachio Matcha Croissant, but they were all sold out--as expected, and honestly, for good reason! I've seen on Yelp that they also carry the trending Dubai Chewy Cookie so next time I hope to try those!
New spacious cafe with a fun variety of baked goods and drinks. I've gone twice so far and made my coworkers equally addicted to this place as me. For my first visit, I got a sweet corn einspanner and as a corn enthusiast, the corn flavor was really strong and creamy. The Einspanner itself was balanced and still bold despite the sweet corn cream top. The Dubai chewy chocolate was good but a little too sweet for my preference. I was able to make it multiple little sweet treats lol. On my second visit, I ordered a double matcha. It was creamy and not too sweet. I need to try a regular latte next time because the creaminess was a little too overpowering as I got to finishing my drink. I tried some of my coworker's cinnamon bun and it was massive, moist, and delicious! It's a nice spot to be productive. Theres a variety of seating arrangements: tables, long communal tables, and benches with small table stools. The benches had outlets too! I'll plan to try a pour over or a regular espresso/matcha latte next time.
i'm HERE ! & there i wish this place was open when i was a student at biola, this is one of my favorite cafes & has brought the best matcha to la mirada much love to my favorites: * pistachio matcha * strawberry matcha * matcha tonic pastries : * everything seed w cream cheese CROISSANT yum * dubai chewy ball i cannot rave about this place enough -- i have brought my mom my friend my friend my friend my friend's friend , everyone i know and they have said, "this is so good" all in unison thank you to the owner for opening this spot -- now a place for good matcha good laughs good fellowship and many biola students and alumni alike , much appreciated and God bless you :)
Lovely cafe with a wonderful selection of matchas, espressos, and baked goods!! I absolutely loved their double matcha but did wish the matcha flavor was stronger and more vibrant! The vienna matcha was super creamy but the creamy layer did overpower the matcha imo. Their Dubai chewy cookie was solid too! This is also a solid study cafe with WiFi, outlets, ample parking, and bathrooms but it's usually packed even on the weekdays and can get loud so keep that in mind!
Okay so right off the bat, the service here was so amazing! Unfortunately I don't know the name of the guy who helped me at the register, but literally so sweet and nice and helped explain something on the menu to me when I had a question!! Love the positivity and good vibes!! And when I got there, there were a couple people in front of me, but I didn't have to wait long at all for my order. I ordered the iced Demerara Latte w/ oat milk. Their Demerara syrup is made in house so that's cool! I actually really enjoyed it. It's not super sweet at all, more on the opposite end, but definitely not bitter either! I love a good in between! It also doesn't taste too strong, but at the same time doesn't taste like there's no coffee in it! It was $7 flat for my drink, so very comparable to other places. The inside is very clean and aesthetic. There's mainly seating across the walls and a few like towards the center. I didn't feel too comfy staying towards the center, but all the along the walls were taken! I don't see myself staying to work here too often, but I'll definitely come back for a coffee to go!
Excited to have a new coffee shop close to home. The place looks warm and inviting, plenty of seating, and friendly staff. They have a wall of merch with cute drink posters. I loved the Vienna espresso, the cream was smooth and wasn't too sweet. My husband got the Yuzu tonic which he enjoyed. They have a good selection of pastries but ultimately we decided to try the nutella croissant, pistachio matcha croissant and dubai chewy balls. The croissants were huge! Loved the dubai chewy balls! It seemed like a popular choice among customers. I hope to see their menu expand with more hot foods! read more

I got their pistachio matcha and it was delicious! It had a good balance between the pistachio flavor and matcha. They have a stronger, nuttier matcha flavor compared to other places I've been to around the area. They do pre-make the matcha so the wait time is pretty short, but it's still great quality. I haven't tried their coffee but my friend said their Spanish Latte was good. It's quite roomy and bright inside with plenty of seating if you need a place to work. Overall I definitely recommend trying their drinks! read more

Excited to have this coffee shop so close to home! Staff was friendly and helpful. The pastries all looked beautiful, but I narrowed it down to the Nutella Croissant (which can be warmed) and the Marshmallow Biscoff, both yummy! For my drink I went with their Vienna (espresso, but could also be matcha). The cream topping was smooth, not too sweet, and paired well with the espresso. It's sweetened with demerara (coarse raw sugar) and it was just the right amount in my opinion. Overall great experience and I can't wait to go back and try more! Nice new coffee shop. The ambiance is nice and it's spacious enough to study by yourself and to come and socialize with friends. I got the yuzu espresso tonic. It's your basic flavor. Strong in yuzu flavor and refreshing. Nothing stand out though but still good. My friend got the double matcha latte and it was good. Tastes like it should. We also got the dubai chewy cookie and it was sweet and chewy. Went well with my espresso yuzu tonic. I would come here again. read more
Another day another matcha mama & me date. Took my daughter here and I tried their ube matcha! It was to die for! The flavors were perfectly blend together. I also tried the Nutella croissant. Such a nice day spending time with daughter/son in law (they even treated!) They really enjoyed their last visit and wanted to bring us here to enjoy coffee n tea. So glad they did! You could tell Here & There owners have worked out the flavors in their coffees and matcha. Just wished teas were steeped rather than tea bags. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Pretty busy place so seating can be limiting but worth the visit. read more

New coffee shop in La Mirada, major heart eyes!!! I'm very excited, I think this place is GREAT so far. Very clean and decorated, light music and positive ambience to enjoy coffee, meet a friend, or get work done. There is ample indoor and outdoor covered-patio seating, and WiFi is available. This location is set within a large plaza that hosts a wide array of businesses, from fast food, to restaurants, to spa services, to a grocery store, to name a few. That being said, there is tons of parking. As for the drinks/bites, Here & There sells a well-rounded cafe menu with drinks and pastries, and the service was quick and friendly. I got an iced Spanish Latte and it was delicious by the way, and adequately priced. The only reason for being four stars is that I'm hoping they add more food to the menu, as this space did used to be a restaurant (which leads me to believe they could expand the menu with hot foods). I'm looking forward to seeing what's next!!! read more

I got a double matcha with almond milk and a pistachio matcha. They were both pretty tasty! I enjoy the flavor of their matcha. The pistachio matcha was good as well! It was more nutty flavoring because it's also made with pistachio milk! It wasn't too busy and there seems to be a lot of students studying or meeting up to chat there! I tried Here & There yesterday for the first time and already came back today because I loved it. The staff is very friendly and told me to let them know if I have any questions as I was browsing the menu. The shop is very clean and has lots of seating. I had the Mont Blanc both times I was here. This is a seasonal item which is cold brew, orange syrup and orange infused sweet cream. It's not too sweet and the cream top tastes like an orange creamsicle while the cold brew gives it a really nice balance. I absolutely love it. Will be coming back constantly! read more

Now you're probably wondering why I'm reading this one specific review....? But, the real question is; would you consider yourself a person who likes top tier coffee? Unlike like most coffee shops in the area, Here & There welcomes you with open arms and hospitality. I really love this place and I've been here 4x times and it was consistent, however today the strawberry to matcha ratio was completely different than all the other times I have been. Normally they put more strawberry in the drink with the matcha, today it was almost ALL matcha and barely any strawberry so it tasted kind of bitter. Other than that I will be back, just gotta make sure they make it the way I like it :) read more

I love this place. I've been coming almost daily before work! The Spanish latte w/ Cream top and the Vienna are my favorite options. Service is always 10/10 and today I wish I can give them 10 stars, I placed the order at their other location and they were so sweet enough to make the 3 drinks here and I didn't have to replace my order!! I visited during the soft opening today, and everything was amazing. The atmosphere was great--stylish and welcoming--and it's honestly hard to find a truly "hip" café like this around here. The drinks were absolutely delicious, and what really made the experience special was being able to try the Dubai chewy ball that's currently trending in Korea. It was so good and felt like such a unique treat! Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Wow! Super cool new coffee shop in La Mirada. Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon to check it out. Busy but not totally crazy, there is plenty of seating and it's very spacious. I am OBSESSED with the simple decor, asthetic and vibe of this place. Everything from the logo to the menu, love it. I just ordered a latte and went with the Vienna espresso latte (recommended by the super sweet girl working the counter). It was so delicious and perfectly icy chilled. Not too sweet and the cream was delicious. Definitely want to come back to try their pastries which looked awesome. 100% will be back! read more
