The pho place we wanted to try was closed so we decided to eat here on a whim based on my other bookmarks. It was pretty empty so we sat on the bar side to relax. The bartender/server was quick to take our orders and soon enough, I had my gin and tonic and smash burger in hand. Nice. The smash burger is pretty extra. It has two patties. Do I complain? Nah. The burger itself isn't as amazing as people claim but the patties are super. You can taste the freshness of the meat in every bite. That meat taste. The sauce was pretty standard, probably Sir kensington or a similar dupe but either way, I was overall very pleased with the burger. It reminded me a lot of Gott's. The fancy nancy is also yummy. I can't imagine eating only that as a meal but if you share with three or more people, it should be just perfect. The tomato is subtle and it's super cheesy. Comfort food to the max. We ended up hitting the place up during happy hour so my drink was dirt cheap. It could have been a bit more stiff but in hindsight, knowing the cost, it's understandable. read more

How have I never heard of this place before?! Absolutely fabulous. Both my husband and I got the Hash Brown Burger. The "buns" are hashbrowns. I was amazed at their ability to stay together! The flavor, amazing. Another plus, pesto ranch for dipping fries. I would drink that if that was an option. Local beer from many different breweries on tap. As always, I am looking for a dark beer. I was not disappointed! Yaya Porter. So good. I also loved the atmosphere. As the name implies, Heritage Bar and Kitchen pulls from the heritage of the Spokane area. The decore is a very nice touch. Squashes placed throughout, the bar is made to look like the Maple Street Bridge, and again, local brews. It is also next to Whistle Punk Brewing. Making it a 2 stop spot. We had a very good meal (I had a hash brown burger), the portions are a good size and the price is reasonable. The best part is that they delivered it to Whistle Punk Brewery, next door, where we were enjoying beers. I did notice that they have some TVs with games on, which would be nice. read more

I was looking for a place to eat that was within walking distance of the hotel. I saw the hash brown burger and had to check it out. Got there and ordered a John Daly to drink and the hash brown burger and salad. There are fries as options but went with salad since the bun was made of potatoes. Wow, is all I can say. The hash brown was cooked to perfection. It was crisp enough to hold but not too crisp that it was easy to eat. The whole burger was awesome I wish I could have ordered another one. read more

We're from out of state and stopped in here on a whim. Our whole group was super happy with the service and the food. This place had no business being this good, but it was. I came here for dinner and was able to sit outside with my dog. For an appetizer, we ordered the dough boys, which were very good with a lot of cheese and garlic. As my entree, I got the Italian corndog that came with french fries. I thought this tasted good and thought the breading was nice and crisp. My fiancé ordered the chipotle meatloaf sandwich, which he said he enjoyed too, though a bit salty. Overall, we liked everything we ordered and I would definitely come back here. read more

Great bar and food! We were waiting for service on our car and looked for lunch spot close by. Once again our Yelp community nailed it! As did Heritage. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich which was the size of my head and reminiscent of Pork Chop John's in Butte. So happy! Hubby very much enjoyed the hash brown burger. And the rosemary curly fries/pesto ranch combo was delicious! The staff was super accommodating and so nice, which was the cherry on top for this meal. Funny thing is, we've never actually eaten/drank in their restaurant. It's not that we don't want to - they look to have a cool spot and great beer and booze selections - but it's just hard when we can order their food and have them walk it over to Whistle Punk :) That's honestly one of the best parts about Heritage. They give you a number and bring it right over. But their food truly earns all 5 stars: elevated pub food that is actually elevated with high-quality and execution. They make some of the best chicken tenders you'll ever have (trust us, my wife is very picky) - hot, juicy, and crispy but not over breaded. And their burgers might be the best in town, and creative as well. Always cooked perfectly and the quality is second to none. As much as we love that they have sweet potato fries, their rosemary curly fries should not and cannot be passed up. And their house-made dipping sauces are equally impressive. My wife loves the honey mustard, while I can't go without the pesto ranch. Curious about that chipotle meatloaf sticking out on that menu? Yeah, that's epically good too. I just wish they still had their Italian sausage hoggie, as the sausage coins are about the only thing we haven't liked. I am obsessed with this place. I love places downtown that give us such cool city vibes. I am truly happy with the experience our family had. The ambiance is so comfy cozy, especially watching the snow fall outside and then a big game on TV that everyone was super into, even my 6 year old. There are so many different kinds of people that were seated young, old, couples, friends after work...so so fun. They hosted an off the menu dish that was absolutely divine. I am not someone who enjoyed deep fried foods, but when I saw that they were taking 24 hour sirloin sauce lasagna and deep frying it - I instantly made sure that this was in my husband's stocking for Christmas. The service was great, all the people who assisted us were attentive and friendly. The food was so so good. I think the only thing we had to ask for was extra dressing for our caesar salads but the salads were good, the lasagna was heaven and the little parmesan crisps were so bomb too. I have no clue how they do it, but yum. We ordered bloody marias and the one tree cider on tap and the drinks were a hit. My little had the chicken basket with fries, which curly fries are our favorite. He also ate the lasagna and said it was the best, but I made him tie that right up with my lasagna too. We attended my grandson's 2nd birthday party here, and it was amazing. The owners were great and put up with 30 crazy family members. They did an abbreviated menu, which was basically a choice between a burger, chicken strips, and some nice salads. It worked so well with the cross section of ages at the party. I've been here twice and love love love the ambience and staff. the restaurant itself is super cute, intimate and a great place to grab a drink and a little grub. They also partner with Whistle Punk next door, so you will be certain to get some great beer options. First time I came with our book club. There was a really cool bar night, Blind Book & Brew. This of course fits the book club theme. Parking was terrible, but it was also during winter which means all parking is terrible downtown. We ordered snacks for the most part and I thought the bruschetta and ramen salad were delicious and satisfying. Second time was for restaurant week. The Fancy Nancy was a pleasant surprise. Like an inverted sloppy joe....which of course was the point. It was light, fluffy and quite satisfying. The tomato basil soup on the other hand...needed a bit more help. I was great for dipping my husband's dough boys in. Other dining mates meals were okay, I believe everyone else ordered the hashbrown burger. Great little bar downtown opened by a couple of friends. Service is always super friendly, prices are reasonable and they put out good, fresh food! They try to source all their foods locally. Food I've had that I recommend: the bruschetta, the dough boys, smash burger (they make their own buns!), meatloaf, and fried pb&j! Fantastic food and ambiance! Inside it's a cozy bar feel with high top and regular tables. The waiters are very friendly and it feels great to eat inside again. We had the hash brown burger the fancy Nancy the smash burger and the Big Mac. All were great. The hash browns as the buns were so crispy and such a unique substitution for buns. Oh, man, I gotta try this at home! Terrific! Their house sauce is a must for the fries and the jalapeño bacon rolls with pesto ranch was over the top delicious. Good job, guys! This is such a cool little bar/restaurant to go to! I'm from the west side of Washington and after driving 5+ hours, I was so ready to devour some good food and I'm so glad I decided to stop here. We sat on the bar side and it had a nice vibe, the service was good, and the food was really good too! I would definitely go back! We got the sausage coins as an appetizer - which were so good!! The pesto chicken salad wrap with sweet potato fries - also really good! My only suggestion for this dish would be to add more pesto. Then, the smash burger with curly fries - also very good! This place was such a great find a few blocks away from the convention center. Much more of a local place and not overpriced! I got a fantastic burger and a great beer. My dinner mate got a salad and a beer, we had a great time! There was bingo going on and we opted not to play, but probably should have just to have fun with the rest of the bar! Stopped by with a friend after work to check Heritage Bar & Kitchen out. We sat at the bar which has comfy, padded stools. Service was great. We had appetizers and drinks. Good beer selection from local breweries. Appetizers were very good. We had the Dough Boys and the Dipper Basket. The chicken strips in the dipper basket were juicy without being greasy. The fries were crisp and good. The garlic bread bites were also very tasty. I'll be back to check out their other offerings. Not a very large menu but it looks good. If the appetizers are any indication, I shouldn't be disappointed. Quite a few of the tables were full. Good sign for being a weeknight. Their entrance is shared with Whistle Punk Brewing.
