Felt comfortable the moment we all stepped in. We travel as a happy crew when dining as a family (6), and these guys just laughed, shook their heads and handed us the menus. Food was very well prepared, and everything you want in a hearty meal. Middle son ordered their Fancy Nancy's, and he had to fight off his parents (and siblings) for bites. Take note of their Cheese Louise sandwich, as well. It's a cheesy, religious experience. It was a rare time we didn't hear much table talk from my 16-yr old as she greedily devoured it. A generous shot of well vodka and a great IPA sealed the deal for me. We were looking for comfort bar fare, and were very much rewarded. But the kicker dessert that drove all the young ones insane, was: the Deep Fried P/B&J. The kiddos acted as if they were stock characters in a B-grade pirate/zombie movie, swashbuckling each other with their forks to get the next bite. We should have ordered 30 more of them. Fantastic hole in the wall burger joint, a short walk from the Davenport hotel. Burger Tuesdays serves up the Hangover burger with two patties, an egg, veggies with tangy bbq sauce between...wait forbit... two hash brown "buns." What a treasure of a bar and kitchen. Yum! You have to try the smash burger. People say they have the best burger in town, but let me tell you this smash burger is without a doubt the best. Prices are great and the staff is the friendliest. Beer and liquor are Spokane local. They have bingo every first Thursday of the month and the prizes are rad. This is one of my favorite places to eat and drink in Spokane. Close to the knitting factory and whistle punk. My favorite food items- smash burger, pesto chicken salad, dipper basket (tossed in buffalo), rosemary curly fries and the fancy Nancy. Had a party of 6 and we all ordered something different. Everything was amazing. Meatloaf sandwich, hash brown burger, Veggie burger, Smash burger, chicken strips and a plain burger for the kids. Garden salad was super fresh with their yummy pesto ranch. Service was rockin, and it was busy. Waiter/bartender really made celebrating our birthdays a great experience! This classic pub is my favorite place in Spokane. The staff is amazing, the food is great, and the beer is cold. I personally had to get The Fancy Nancy twice before I believed it wasn't an anomaly, but it is hands down the best plate of food I've encountered in this city. I will keep exploring this town when I'm here, but if I need good food, at a good price, with a welcoming atmosphere, Heritage is my go to. read more

Came in for lunch at 3pm on a Thursday, not exactly rush hour. But there was a good handful of folks, and Matt at the bar immediately said hi and brought me up to speed. He has his own cocktail, the Fireflower Lemonade, which I highly recommend as a mildly spicy but refreshing sip. Schrieber's Special was also an amazing twist on a gin old fashioned. On Thursdays they have hot chicken sandwiches as a special - not too spicy, but delicious. Overall, fantastic ambiance, food, and drinks, more space than you'd guess at first blush, and just incredible guys behind the bar. This is my new spot when I'm in Spokane. read more

Great little joint, actually this alley view was way more cool than I thought it could be, hope the picture captured. The Hash Brown Burger was so wrong but right, reminded me of potato pancakes, then just enough chipotle in the sauce. Cuz I eat a lot of meat I would go w double patty next time. Fries were crisp and dusted perfectly with rosemary. The lavender drink tied the earth feel all together. Service on top of it, making sure water filled and checking back, top notch stuff all around. Went for restraunts week and was sadly disappointed! First course my wife had an Asian type salad that was dry and flavorless. I had the dr. Pepper chili, it was awful, beans,ground meat and chili spice and none of the ingredients blended, kind of weird. Second course we had an italian corn dog and a burger. The burger was ok nothing special and the corn dog crust was greasy and gross with the italian sausage overbearing. Desert was a craft beer for my wife and cheese cake droppings which was just 3 no bake cheese cake spoonfuls with strawberry sauce drizzled. Excellent food and service! The place was really clean with friendly spot on service. Dropped in for dinner don't forget about "kitchen" in the name there is a reason for that. The hash brown burger was awesome, my wife ordered the ramen salad loved it and my daughter devoured the Heritage smash burger. Absolutely wonderful. The food was (Chipotle Meatloaf and The Fancy Nancy) delicious, the drinks (one mixed, one flight of beers) were tasty, and the staff were completely pleasant and attentive. Wonderful food. Had their Ric Flair Sandwich with sweet potato fries. Great balance of flavor with a small kick from the bacon jam. Their pesto ranch is a great compliment to the dough boys.
