If you live in Irvine, come by Heritage Park Community Center and pick up some FREE compact fluorescent light bulbs! Other than that, I mostly stop in here to use the restrooms before meeting my running club in the parking lot, plus we have our monthly club meetings in the room upstairs. Sometimes the restrooms are messy (why do kids like to throw toilet paper and paper towels around so much and put sand in the sinks?) but they were recently refurbished with self-flushing toilets. This is a huge plus since kids sometimes forget to flush. read more

This place is really truly an excellent park, definitely on par (and in some cases even better) than many of the local regional parks, where they charge admission fees. The play ground is like a space/sailing theme and has some good shade, some shade, it's not entirely covered, but that's better than nothing. The duck pond is quaint and there's a cute gazebo on the shore to hang out in. There's no paddle boats on the pond, but there is a neat fountain, so it makes a really nice back drop. My fave part of this park though is the SPLASH PAD! It's always on during hot summer weekends, it's never crowded, it's clean, and colorful! There's concrete steps next to the pad for parents to sit and a good spot to let your kids clothes dry out. All the parents and kids I run into at at this park are polite and fun, a really good crowd here. Thanks to the City of Irvine for building a splash pad that re-circulates water so it can be used during drought years! read more

This is such a beautiful park/community center. Great for a romantic stroll at night (: Nam and I come here for ceramics and billiards! And the jungle gym hehe :3 There's a fee for ceramics, but you can get a discount if you're an Irvine resident. I'd definitely recommend coming here around sunset with your significant other and taking a walk around the lake. You can play with the duckies and enjoy the scenery in the nearby gazebo! My review is for the splash pad only which was the only reason I went to this park. Don't go there for the splash pad. I went there today and the "splashers" were more like just broken sprinklers on the ground... And I don't mean the fun broken sprinklers that shoot up high. I mean the lame ones that ooze water no higher than 2 inches off the ground. My kid would have had to lay flat on his stomach if he wanted to get "splashed". There were some kids playing on it by using beach buckets and getting on the ground to collect water & then pouring it on themselves. -__- My definition of a lame splash pad. (Maybe I went on a day when it was broken, I doubt that's how it's regularly kept) If you're looking for an awesome splash pad in OC, try the one in Sigler Park in Westminster. This park has it all; sports park, library, kids playground, lake with fountain, wild animals like geese, birds and the like; manicured landscaping and more! Just watch out for the bird poop while walking along the lake. It's very big so be sure to think about where you want to be so you could park accordingly. It's also a great place for gatherings, especially exercising or community events. read more

This is such a beautiful park. It is so spacious and green. It is right next to the high school, which makes the park seem even bigger. But this can also be a down-side during the week/when school is in session. The bathrooms are fairly nice for park bathrooms. There are two accessible to the public. There is a water fountain thing for the kids to play in, and a decent-sized jungle gym on one of the sides of the park. This park also has multiple soccer fields, tennis courts, and a baseball field. Very spacious. I like that it seems to draw parents and kids to one side, and older/adults to the remainder of the park. That way I don't have to worry about my dog accidentally tripping a child. There are also a few spots for doggie bags in case I run out! The only downside is you need to watch where you are walking because there is a lot of duck and goose poop. Also for you poke-people: there are a number of Pokestops and two gyms. As of 8/27 it is still a bulbasaur nest. read more

Great TENNIS ACADEMY!! This is the place where you see a lot of good teenagers playing tennis. I used to play with Chris Emery when I was little. The summer camps is always packed with bunch of high school kids from all over Irvine. I met Michael Chang once in this park, when he was playing for a charity. My toddler was heart broken when we saw the do not feed the ducks sign (one of the many rules) placed out in several locations. So instead she chased after them and then was ready to go home until we saw the giant park nearby. And she was once again happy. This park seems awesome for children of all ages. They have some sort of splash pad next to the park for the hot days. Just bring your kiddies swimsuit or you'll be taking home a fully clothed and drenched kid. I drove a long way to get here. I recommend you come here but not for the water feature like I did. It's good for the playground and walking around a vast expanse. However I don't know how anyone could play a game and not walk through goose poop. So prepare yourself to look down the whole time. Or Wear shoes you hate. read more

I discovered this park with The Studio Arts Festival which took place June 2,2018. This was an awesome event. Many talents were side by side. They have a beautiful park. Clean and safe. Best is it is a smoke free environment. read more

Great park everything was well taken care off my only issue was the crazy lady forcing her kids in the splash pad, she made her daughter cry by shoving her in there and took off her sons clothes letting him run around naked while she tried to shower him in the splash pad this was very unsanitary not to mention she was washing her kids underwear in there as well. There should be someone controlling what people do in the splash pad what that lady was doing was so unsanitary!!!!!! read more

Oh Heritage Park. It's not your fault that the geese love you so. But reader, beware: if you go to this park, you will spend most of your time just trying not to step in goose poop. It's amazing how much of it there is. On another note, the playground is filthy. This isn't normally a problem with parks in Irvine. But for some reason, visitors to Heritage Park don't like to throw their trash away. There are bottles and scraps and food remnants everywhere. Not a clean park, is what I'm trying to say here. read more

Teen Camp here in the mid 2000s!! The center has several offices, a theater, ping pong/pool tables, and a movie room. The park around it has a nice lake, a community library, large grassy fields, baseball fields, a playground, some basketball courts, a bunch of tennis courts, and some raquetball courts. Around that is a fire station, a swimming pool complex, and Irvine High. Great place to hang around! read more

Great place to gather as a community. They have pool tables, ping pong tables, etc. that you can use, and it's right next to both the library and heritage park, which have lots of various sport fields and courts. For example, this is probably one of the best places in Irvine to play tennis as there are 12 courts and all really well lit! :) read more

Just started another season for the Irvine 7vs7 league, comparing to last season the fields are maintained, much much better than last time I've been there, the park seems to have everything, basketball courts, tennis...children playground, I guess its one of the good parks in the area, my rating is for the soccer fields read more

i use to dance here when i went to Irvine high school, this place was THE PLACE to hang. vending machine's pool table, ping pong, PS3... i miss heritage park community center, the workers there were so nice. I love everything about this park :] the only thing i don't like is the manager of the community center. he's such a butt. my friend came to pick me up when i was getting out of the bathroom and thought that me and my friend were both INSIDE that bathroom. and he banned us from the community center just for thinking that. for a month. can he even do that? wtf i thought this was public property. read more

This is a huge park with tons of people all of the time. I usually come here on Sunday mornings and watch all of the old people doing tai-chi which is amazing and amusing. They have good facilities and a nice little gazebo by the fake lake. Like everything in Irvine it's all man-made, but it's all good. Just don't think about it. read more

this is a nice park... and it has the following: basketball, playground, soccer field, baseball field, handball courts, a lake, and what i come for, the very nice 12 lighted tennis courts.. only thing is about the tennis courts .. most of these are taken up by the lessons/activities.. for example: every day of the week, even weekends.. they offer kids tennis lessons that usually takes up 5 of the courts. now your thinking this isn't to bad, but 3 of the other courts are taken by the IRVINE tennis league, WTT. so that leaves 4 more courts, which is reasonable, but another problem arises.. there isn't really a time limit of play that the other courts in Irvine has. most of the people that come here have been regular for a long time, so they usually share a court with 4+ people and they just rotate in... so you end up sitting here and waiting for an open tennis court.. which opens up about 10 pm.. which was pretty good when the light timers used to turn off past 11:50 pm.. but it appears that the light turns off at 10pm now. so you can wait for 3 hours... and go home without touching a court. being able to play tennis to midnight was great... what happened to the timers from 3 years ago.... read more

This is a beautiful park with tons of green grass and space to roam around. There's even a lake thus making the scenery even better. It's a great place for pokemonGO players. In fact, you'll definitely run into a bunch of them. Why are there so many players there you ask? You gotta go to find out. That's all I have to say about that. read more
