Long story short, Heritage Garage Door Company stepped in and helped me when no other local garage door company would. First never buy a Marantec brand garage door opener. They do not support their products and will deny any warranty coverage. Marantec requires a new logic board to be installed "professionally," of which I no other garage door company wanted to deal with, which I think Marantec was hoping for, so they didnt have to honor the warranty. Heritage listened to my problems, and then even contacted Marantec to resolve the parts delivery etc. They were always very prompt with their communication. I would use them again. read more

I had some boxes and bags fall off the shelf and jammed one side of the garage door while it was running and the other side kept on going. It got really tangled up. It was quite a mess. I was able to take it apart just so I could close it. I called Heritage left a message and within about 2 to 3 hours I got a call back and made an appointment. The tech came in next day looked at it and went right to work and he fixed it all up like brand new. I really appreciate the professionalism and the speed of which the job was done. A Heritage technician told me that my spring was broken. He was going to charge $640 to replace a single spring! He would add another spring for $40 more. Two springs cost $80, and labor costs $600?! I called for service on my door as it would not close, kept going down and up and down over and over. Was told that the Tech would come out the following day and review the problem and then give me options and a price. The Tech came out, on time, (they have a nice notification system), made some tweaks for literally 5 minutes with my assistance and tested the door and all appeared to be working, I told him that this is the same as it has been doing after being reset and that a day or two later it would continue with the issue. He said that it would be $89 for the "repair" that he had made and that the $89 could go towards any future repairs should this not work. Well, the next day it started again with the same problem. I called back and asked that the Tech give me a call for options and was told that he would call the following Monday (it was Saturday when I called). No call on Monday. Then on Tuesday I get a text that the Tech would be there between 12-1:30pm, OK, whatever, I wasn't expecting an appointment today, that is why I had asked for the call first. The Tech arrives at 1:40pm and we look at the same problem again. He says that we can call Liftmaster together to find out what the problem is and what parts would be needed and that it would cost $229 plus the parts that I would have to buy directly from Liftmaster, not Heritage Garage Door but that I could deduct the initial $89 from the $229. I asked him if he could call Liftmaster and then let me know what's needed and what it would cost, he said that he could not and that we had to be on the phone together (??), he also said that he could not guarantee the repair if it were to be made and that I might ultimately need a new opener, $1200!! I let him know that I was busy right now as I had not expected this visit and that we would need to reschedule, he said that they would set up a new appointment. They never called back. From all of the positive reviews here, I was expecting more. This is poor business and terrible customer service. If there is going to be a fee charged, that needs to be explained up front and that is not what was done. I am perfectly fine with paying your fee if you do fix the issue, which you did not. And then to completely not call back to arrange the future appointment, just bad. read more

I'm screaming this is the business you want. They came out quickly, but thats just the icing on the cake. I cannot hear and you cam imagine how many times I get taken advantaged of. It's almost expected now and I've gotten accustomed to it, pH how I pray. The first business that came out quoted such a high price :( I'm guessing this is the price for the work. Bit I also called this place, with the knowledge that the work was expensive. But the first place the guy was so rude. My husband said, we will think about it and the man required money to even leave. My husband gave him 20 dollars. So when the tech came out. I was prepared for the high quote. But instead he quoted me a thousand less than the original guy. He quickly repaired the garage and said if he needs more parts it would be more but didn't expect it (so honest). The sad news was I do need to replace the garage door to have it work as original, you know to push the button to open and close. And THEY are the ones that will do the job. I called Heritage Garage Door to have the garage door repaired Monday morning, the technician was scheduled Tuesday morning, I decided to have it replaced the bottom section with the rubber seal part, since the retainer can't be snapped back in, I hit the garage door with my car when I backing up, it's bended. One of the roller came out, it was replaced with a longer one and was put it back into the track so I can close the garage door. The technician very helpful to make sure the garage door is secure and safe for me to have it to be able to close it temporarily before it's scheduled the be replaced. read more

I called to have Heritage come out to my rental property in Fullerton since the garage door wasn't working. The earliest they could come out was a week later. I received a text saying that my technician was on his way. He called me when he got there and proceeded to tell me that my motor was 'fried' due to excessive force from the spring. He then proceeded to tell me that I needed the following: motor - $799 plus $199 labor 2 new springs - $199 each and $199 labor!!!! Oh but lucky me, they had a deal going on so if I replaced the garage door too (and tracks and door rails) it would be $100 cheaper! Then he told me that they needed to take a 30% non refundable deposit by phone and they couldn't get back out there til at least the following week. I told him that I would get back to him after I got other quotes. He also sent me an invoice for $1691.16 for the whole job! I found another garage door company on Yelp. I was called within 20 minutes of requesting a quote. A very professional man with excellent customer service skills arranged to go out to my property to see what was happening. He called me and told me the the logic board within the motor was not working, that he called the manufacturer, it is under warranty, he can go pick it up and finish the job the same day for only $200 labor!! Definitely giving them a great Yelp review. To think that Heritage was obviously trying to take advantage, sell me something that I didn't need and get over on me is disappointing to say the least. Nearly $1700 for a part that was under warranty and cost $200 labor???? Pathetic. I hope my review helps someone else avoid this company and the headache it has been. Buyer beware. There are a lot of honest, ethical companies. Don't deal with this one. read more
