Hole in the wall filled with toilet paper

I wasn't going to leave a review because my whole stay was refunded, but 4 days after, they charged the whole stay again. Stayed here 2 nights. Do not book here. First off, the location is right off the highway and full of questionable people. The room was absolutely disgusting and didn't seem to be cleaned at all. The sink and shower were filthy, and the bathroom had mold growing up the walls. My room had a hole in the wall that was filled with toilet paper. The shower head was so low my boyfriend had to bend over to get under it. My second night I was woken up to a knock on the door at 2AM, and I was terrified. Opened the door the next morning to find several beer bottles sitting in front of my door. There was what looked to be blood stains on the bed. Felt unsettled the entire stay.

Going to a big birthday party in Hayward wanted to play it safe So I rented a room here.the pool is nasty and close the room reeks of cigarettes.the bathroom needs to be redone the TV is old in the room the reception is blurry. the celling above the fan is dirty.after I get dress and go out I'm not coming back.this is a shame it's close by 880 freeway you would think this place up to code.

I did not plan on being in this room for more than just sleep and that was good in this case. While the staff was pleasant they make you sign a few photocopied papers on the typical emergency info and rental car used but the oddest form that allowed the hotel staff to enter your room whenever they wanted. The furniture was stained and the lampshades were ripped but the room overall was clean. It was fully stocked of towels and shampoo. The pillows were too soft and not supportive. I was very pleasantly surprised to find a mini fridge and microwave in the room which is very convenient for a traveler such as myself. Having working cable television is nice to have. Every morning I was awaken to the ruckus of my fellow guest and their stereos but that is not the hotel's fault. I guess I was staying there at the same time as a wedding party from Texas. It was nice to have the hotel in a location very close to the freeway and there are many services nearby like a Vietnamese restaurant and liquor store near within walking distance. Now would I walk in the neighborhood where the hotel was located? Not if I did not have to. It is a not as well lit as one would like and the constant hum of sirens did not make the few moments I was in the room that comforting. Oh by the way they did use that right of entry at any time even though I clearly placed a do not disturb sign on my door. I found that disheartening. I say this a lot but you do get what you pay for as long as there is value in it then it is okay. The Heritage was good for its purpose in a very bare bones way.

We came to Elliston Vineyards for a friend's wedding, and the location was beautiful! There were…read moredefinitely things on the coordination/planning side that seemed unorganized, and even as a guest I could see the holes. - PARKING - They have a dirt lot in the main entrance area, but I believe there are also additional spots across the lawn past the mansion. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - It's a beautiful venue, with a nice outdoor patio area where the cocktail hour was eventually held, a beautiful small pond and shaded gazebo spot, and the ceremony site where another gazebo sat. Unfortunately the sun was blazing that afternoon, and with us facing the sun, it was extremely hot and uncomfortable. Some seats also had some bird poop on it, which was not pleasant to see. The coordinators/staff were not very vocal, so sometimes it was hard to follow instructions on where to go next. - EXPERIENCE - Cocktail Hour: The flow of the area was hard to navigate, as if you wanted drinks you would need to enter this narrow porch to get one. However there were also staff members exiting the building where the narrow porchway led to, so there was definitely some traffic there. Eventually they had waiters pass out hors d'oeuvres and also drinks, so it made it easier for guests to receive things without needing to get stuck in the patio area. Reception: We were instructed to go up the stairs where dinner would be held. Initially it was nice to finally have some shade, but it quickly turned very cold and windy on the hill. As reception started, staff began to serve salads. There was a large break between salad and the entrees, and it looked like they were confused on what table had what entrees. We were also told to not make that loud of noise... but it's a wedding and it was only 7pm? I'd understand if it was later at night, but it was so early still! Dancing Hour: It was very loosely suggested that guests should use the photobooth, and that we only had about 30-45minutes left to use it... but we didn't even hear there was one to begin with! They also started to pass out desserts inside the dancing area, but they were quickly swooped by guests and some of our table members didn't even get one. - OVERALL - A very beautiful location, but if the owners of Elliston Vineyards directly oversee the coordination and planning of weddings, they should definitely retrain their staff.

Of course the first slot machine we went to hit and we started up $300, which we essentially gave back as we were chasing the big win. A guy next us said 'It only takes one spin to win' and we took that a little too literally lol. We played a variety of the machines, but the most luck we had was with the Top Dollar Machines, the others weren't lucky this time around. While we only left up $30, we spent 3 hours of fun just playing away. Something I haven't seen at any other casino was a free soda and non-alcoholic drink areas! It's Pepsi products though, so not the best, but at least it's free. I saw people ordering smoothies, which looked really good but we never stayed at a slot machine long enough to get one. We came on a Thursday, and it was bummer that there was only (1) blackjack table going with a $5 minimum. I walked by multiple times and there was never an open seat. Plenty of seats of pai gow or poker though. Maybe it was just the time of day, but definitely would love to try my hand at blackjack next time around.

When trying to decide where to get dinner on Main Street, we couldn't make a decision. My husband suggested Cameron's so we drove over. Dog Friendly: Lucked out with a spot in front of the patio! Lucked out with a table (anywhere) to sit with our dog. They offer water bowls and toys to play with while we're dining. My dog was able to chill for the most part (larger dogs make our rescue pup nervous) but he liked the couple behind us. Eclectic: It's a cool place with different dining areas. They were setting up for Karaoke (Friday/Saturday nights). There's so much to explore with all the knick knacks. The playlist in the dining room area was a wide range of music - I don't know how to explain it but you're listening to "It's a Small World" and then "Sweet Caroline!" You have to see it for yourself. The gender assigned restrooms are located in between the pinball machines. I literally walked outside and then walked back in when I finally found it and was embarrassed! Food: We split the special of the day - prime rib sandwich, but my husband was still hungry and we split a sampler platter. The food was what I expected - pub grub but it was worth it with the vibe. Drink: I usually don't drink but their cocktails were really good. I forgot what I had but it was the rum based drink. Overall, I hope I don't wait another 10 years to return - that was a great ending to our day trip to Half Moon Bay.

The food was good, could have been a little better, I had fish and chips and partner had the shepards' pie. The fish and chips were good I would totally eat them again. But the shepard's pie was not good. It was completely unseasoned. He tried adding some HP sauce to a few bites, adding salt and pepper, and just could not make it edible. he was really disappointed because that is one of his favorites. I told him he should mention it and see if they could bring him something else, but he was adamant that would just make more work for them and he'd feel bad. I did remind him that shepards' pie is not a very seasoned meal. And he said it wasn't just that, but that everything tasted like it came out of tin. I reminded him, as a human who has lived in England, that this was also not out of the ordinary. We did decide we'd try it again next time we were over that way, and he already has chosen something else to try, so the rest of it (including his Mango Cider) was good enough to have him not give up on it. But maybe steer clear of the Shepard's Pie?

Our server was doing her best on her own for the entire establishment and we respected her situation. The Gabby's Jolt was merely strong and seemed to be missing ingredients listed on the menu. We had ordered the stuffed mushrooms appetizer which was tasty, the filet mignon entree and halibut entree ( of which we told the server we'd like to have a glass of white wine to accompany it but had to wait until the entree was nearly cold to receive it). We ate two servings of bread an do bitter while we waited for the entrees. The filet was tender and seasoned well in addition to being cooked a bit over medium, had a large portion of spinach and mashed potatoes, and came with the same red wine reduction sauce as the mushrooms which we found a bit odd. The minutely seasoned halibut has to have been the tiniest piece of fish we've ever seen served and only had six small potato quarters and like 6-7 stalks of asparagus with it. Overall, we ate everything because of the small halibut entree, but will most likely not return. I suggest the owners have more than one server on a Friday night, For everyone's sake.

Amazing homemade German food!…read more We tried this restaurant on a recommendation while visiting the area, and we were absolutely delighted by both the food and the service. We ordered the bratwurst, red cabbage salad, German potato salad, potato pancakes, spätzle, and Jägerschnitzel. Every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It was honestly hard to pick a favorite because everything was so delicious, but if I had to choose, the Jägerschnitzel absolutely stole the show! For dessert, we had the freshly baked apple strudel, and it was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. You could taste how fresh everything was--from the flaky, buttery pastry to the warm apples and even the homemade whipped cream. It was absolutely delicious. This is a great spot whether you're dining as a couple or with a larger group. If you're planning to come with more than five people, I'd recommend calling ahead to see if they can accommodate your party with a reservation. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Guerneville!

Not inviting so we sat at a high boy in the darkened bar, which was much nicer. I'm sure it's beautiful to sit on the balcony in the summer on warm nights. We chatted with the German owner who was doubling as a bartender, who was very nice. We loved the German influences in the bar, as we had just been to Oktoberfest in Munich. The owner's daughter Sarah runs the kitchen. My husband had a pork tenderloin schnitzel "Vienna style" ($20) and I had a jaegerschnizel with mushroom gravy ($20) and both were excellent. We split the potato pancakes (two with sour cream and apple sauce, $12) which were served crispy but tasty. They had a nice German beer and wine list. We finished with a delicious apple strudel to complete a lovely meal. I recommend this restaurant for tasty dinners in a unique venue.
