This place has made so many improvements that it is obvious that the new owners are working at turning this place into a great family restaurant. We ordered salads, burgers and a pasta dish. Nice country restaurant. I had a ruben which was flavorful but needed more sauerkraut to balance the sandwich. The chips which looked like in house made, were crunchy and tasty. The place was clean as renovations had been done a few months prior. We did not check the bathrooms for cleanliness. The server was prompt and polite. I recently moved to Morgantown from West Chester and I've been looking for a good place to go. This is surprisingly very close to my house and I noticed it's always packed when I pass it driving home. I finally tried it with my boyfriend and my best friend on wing night. My boyfriend and I got wings and my friend ordered a burger. The wings were amazing!!! They came out nice and crispy with the perfect amount of sauce. I ordered 6 extra hot and 6 hotter n' hell and they were both delicious. I really love spicy food so the hotter n' hell perfect for me but the extra hot was great for someone who maybe likes a little extra spice but not too much. My boyfriend ordered extra hot and spicy bbq. He said the extra hot was pretty hot but it was good and he lived the spicy bbq. We also ordered a large order of cheese fries and they were delicious. My friend ordered the light cheeseburger that comes with fries and is about $5. She said she was very full afterwards and it was delicious. I'm so glad we found this place. It's not over priced and the food is delicious. We've been their twice and our service was great both times. read more

This place is barely 2 stars. Get the wings well done, they are 3 stars. Other than that the restaurant décor is circa 1975 and it smells like it. The bar (The Musket Lounge) is pretty much the same, only more worn out and it smells like a urinal cake. Your generic domestic beer on tap (I can only imagine what the beer line look like) and the usual bottles. If you sit on the side of the bar and look behind it, you will see it is as sanitary as a Port-a-John. You can sit at the bar or stand along the wall, and there a small makeshift outside area that is overrun by smokers. This place has been in Morgantown a long time and the only reason it still is around is because of the Musket Lounge regulars and the fact that it is only one of two places to drink in town, and I could literally cut and paste this review for the other one down the block. read more

On the road for work, and saw the good reviews for Heritage. So, we decided to stop. Initial impression made us a little hesitant, as the place could use some cosmetic updates. But the waitress was pleasant and prompt, and the food was outstanding - got a Dutch Crunch sandwich with fresh-cut fries. Wowie wow wow - it was tasty!! Last 2 times here was very disappointing! Stopped in for lunch and hamburger was just ok, bun was stale, fries were awful, taste like they were cooked the day before. Then we went for breakfast, biscuits and sausage gravy was awful. Biscuits were hard and dry, someone needs to teach them how to make biscuits. This is the place to go for breakfast but if you are there for lunch or dinner try their Italian Wedding Soup. It was served at the recent Empty Bowls event sponsored by the Rotary. It was one of the first soups that we ran out of due to how popular it was. Imagine large meatballs, huge chunks of chicken, abundant pasta & a rich chicken broth. Stopped in for the second time for lunch and had another great experience. Dining room was busier today, but overall we didn't wait very long for anything. We all loved the Evil Genius beer special. We had the Mediterranean dip plate and the hot wings to start. The wings were SO GOOD. We will be back in for wings and beer for sure. Others we were with also had the black and bleu burger, the breakfast burger, the Heritage beef, and a salad special (spinach, strawberries, chicken, feta, balsamic). Everything was great, but I think the burgers might be the best. They also have a good Bloody Mary. If only I found this restaurant sooner! It is very, very good. I frequently travel the PA turnpike. And...I HAVE noticed this building in Morgantown, up on the hill before, from the turnpike. But, if only I had tried it sooner...my turnpike travels would have been much more pleasant. A very welcoming place. The chef/cook welcomed us when we stepped into the restaurant. It was very clean and inviting. The wait staff was friendly. Menu selection was good and our lunch was excellent. My husband was pleased with the "grilled cheese patty melt" and my cheeseburger was a brisket, short rib blend and was cooked perfectly. They offer a large selection of craft beers and our server was knowledgeable in all areas of the menu as well as the town. She was a treat to speak with and we are making this our "go-to" place when traveling. read more

We came for early lunch. The decor and tables were on the humble and rustic side and the menu had the basics offerings for a quick easy going lunch. Food wise, the chili was amazing, and the wings were perfectly crispy with 2 delicious sauces we ordered..spicy garlic(tasty)..and another that was a creamy southwest style sauce(unique and delicious). I've ordered wings many times in my life and on this particular day these were amongst the best I've had. Last week while traveling for business I spent the night in Morgantown, PA. The receptionist at the hotel unequivocally recommended The Heritage Restaurant. I ordered salmon, roasted Brussels sprouts and coleslaw. The Brussels sprouts and coleslaw were prepared with the chef's personal touch and the salmon was right there with the best I've ever had. Wow where to begin. I have really tried to like this place. Given it multiple chances but it always comes out on the losing end of things for me. First off there is no reason on this earth that it should take half an hour to get your breakfast when there only two other tables filled in the place. When the food finally came out it was cold. No we did not tell the wait staff we just decided this was its last chance. This was after the new ownership, which recently took place. As far as we are concerned there is too much competition out there to settle for this. The prices have gone up on the same breakfasts and not as much food.
