Very home-y and cute! I got a 16oz Irish cream cold brew. Very affordable and fills the cup right to the top! Also, a lot of flavoring! They had a TOM of coffee flavoring options! Many workers there to guide you along to how their lines work!

Discovering Herman's Boy was a huge surprise for us. Always on the search for an exceptional bagel, we were not let down. I've struggled with how to describe Herman's Boy. A large part of their business is coffee. They have what seems too be dozens of varieties of beans to buy and serve a small sampling when you eat there. It's not only coffee. As I explored the restaurant/store, I found an impressive display of BBQ grills smokers, Green Eggs, rubs, sauces and accessories. We came however for the bagels. Maybe not the biggest variety of flavors but absolutely and unequivocally one of the best bagels I've had in Michigan thus far. Herman's Boy boils the bagels before baking. This gives them their unique texture and "pop" when you take a bite. My opinion only-most bagels I've had locally are nothing more than a flavored dinner roll with a hole in the center. These were not. Taste was magnificent. Creme cheese is thick and not easily spreadable-the way it should be. I like my bagels well toasted but not burnt. Again-perfect. There is ample seating in what seems to be an old home converted to a business. In nice weather, you can enjoy comfortable outdoor seating as well. We enjoy our bagels inside and finish our drinks outside. Staff is responsive and friendly. Beyond the great bagels, we really enjoyed our visit here.

The bagel dog was fabulous!! The Heather Sammy was also delicious. Save room for coffee and a dessert.

We buy all of our flavored decaf coffee here and the selections are many. Today we decided to stay for lunch and what a great decision! The prices are half that of other bagel places and so delicious. We ordered one with roast beef and cheddar which had lovely fresh beef and was the favorite at $4. The rye knot came on a rye bagel with turkey pastrami and Swiss also $4. The bagel dog is a must try for $3 and any condiments you wish. It's a cozy fun atmosphere. The food is ordered at the counter. It's our new favorite lunch spot!

What an adorable place that fulfills your every whim. Coffee candy bagels lunch items spices and grilling equipment. There was so much to choose from and all of it looks so good. My sister and I got butterscotch coffee. Omg what a treat. We split a Turkey pastrami on rye bagel. Lip smacking delicious and I bought some fudge for my mama. I will be back when I go back to Michigan. It's a fun place to visit

Herman's Boy is a longtime Rockford staple with a very homey feel. While homey, I didn't feel that comfortable or welcomed when I stopped in with some friends to order some breakfast to enjoy downtown. The ordering situation is wild and especially more so in COVID times. The space is pretty small where you have to order so watch for the markers on the floor. The menu was a little overwhelming and I never really like having to read off a chalkboard when it's crowded and busy. I should've asked for a printed menu. I ordered a bagel sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese, but the menu was written in such a way that it made me think I needed to pay extra to get it with egg...? I'm still not sure. If you have anxiety around ordering this might not be the place for you! Then you can choose from a long list of spreads, I chose honey mustard. I went to pay, but apparently you don't pay until your order is made? Also confusing. Then you have to juggle your order (bags, coffees, etc.) while trying to get your payment out. It was a little chaotic! But we finally got our food and made our way to the dam to eat. The bagel sandwich was very good and the bagel was huge! It wasn't my favorite bagel sandwich ever but it was a nice satisfying portion for my boyfriend and I to share. Herman's Boy is known for their hot dogs wrapped in bagels, which is definitely something I'm interested in trying. I think next time I'd order ahead on the phone and get it to go. There is limited outdoor seating on the premises so I'd recommend going at an off peak time or planning on making it a picnic. The housewares and kitchen items for sale are fun to look at while you wait for your food!

Herman's Boy is a Rockford staple and for good reason. They have a large menu and great pastries, sandwiches and more. I got a parmesan bagel with cream cheese and was expecting more, but it's still really good! I also got a mocha with carmel and it's definitely super sweet but still good. They've got fresh pasties, kitchenware, plenty of seating, and more. such a fun hometown vibe!!

This place is worth a pleasant drive from Grand Rapids. If you are on your way up north or looking to get out of the city and explore the west Michigan area you owe it to yourself to make a drive to Rockford. This historic town on the rogue River which runs into the grand River is very picturesque. This is an iconic part of Rockford visiting this restaurant and coffee house. It is a little hard to fine so please use GPS it is not in the main downtown area it's slightly outside of town to the north. I always go there for the very unique single source coffees and specialty coffee blend. Their whole bean coffee's are amazing in roasted right there on site. When you walk in the door the smell in aroma of fresh roasted coffee beans hit you in the face. The smells are free. The price of everything is going up and coffee is no exception. But think about it if you buy Starbucks by the glass or ground coffee at the grocery store you are paying a mint for it. Pounds of coffee here range from $10-$12 a pound. If you buy 5 pounds you get 10% off. I think that the lady forgot to give me my 10% off when I bought 5 pounds of coffee when I was in there last. I always like to get some holiday flavored coffee's that are decaffeinated for entertaining. I usually like black non-flavored coffee with great beans but they have some interesting holiday flavors.

We stopped here on the way to get our Christmas tree and grabbed some sandwiches to eat in the car - my Rye Not? Turkey pastrami on a rye bagel was delicious, I'd highly recommend it. My husband ordered a turkey sandwich with mustard on an onion bagel. My son loved his bagel dog and I got a refreshing Very Berry Italian soda to drink.

I never realized that it's located so close to the movie theater and Meijer Gardens! I would absolutely stop over there before or after going to one of those. There's ample parking and it's within the general area of the movie theater. The spot itself has a good amount of seating and some of the coolest decor. There is a massive wooden art piece detailing history which is so fun to just sit and read. The staff was more than friendly and polite. They gave us some really helpful information and recommendations for drinks. We didn't end up eating any of the food but the honeycomb dessert looked incredible and my boss has said that the spinach pie is amazing. I really loved my strawberry matcha! Overall, everything was solid. The Qishr was good, though I think it could have used a bit more kick. Aside from that, the coffee was excellent and the rest of what we tried did not disappoint. I also had an organic mango juice, which was fresh (even though it came in a bottle) and really enjoyable.
