The undercarriage, however, was completely rust covered. After an internet search, I gave Steve a call. He was gracious enough to spend about 20 minutes on the phone explaining to me the mechanics of rust remediation and agreed to take a look at my car. Ultimately, Steve and Rob removed the rust and replaced two safety plates underneath, one on the gas tank and the other on the front differential. On their recommendation, struts, shocks, bushings, and all of the mechanical linkages were replaced. The result of all this work is that I have a 15 year old car that literally drives like new. I cannot say enough about the job Steve and Rob did for me. They were always caring, considerate, informative, and accommodating. And, the price was extremely fair and work was finished on time when promised. Do yourself a favor and give Steve a call if you need a restoration. Get lucky like me and find a couple of mechanics you can really trust.

Then I remembered that there were auto body shops behind Lakeland Ave in Ronkonkoma. I looked up a few and was surprised to find one with ninetyish reviews and all "5's". After working with David over the last few months, I now understand why. He is friendly, helpful, and very good at what he does. I'm not sure that he really wanted to work on a classic car, but he didn't say no like all the other places. Considering he was working with a 65 year old fiberglass body, I am amazed at what he and his crew accomplished. He noticed things on the car that I never noticed and repaired them beautifully. Most of all, he really cared about doing a great job. I could not have been luckier to find Sully Boys Auto. I hope I never have a accident where I need auto repair, but if I do, there is no chance I will go to anyone else other than David!

I will start off by saying that Drew is a gentlemen with a complete understanding of what needed to be done. No fast talking tactics to get me spending more than I had to while staying focused on the overall objective. Drew took the time to explain the process of what had to be done and the expected time frame which was right on the mark. Completion time was 2 1/2 weeks. Now the work that was done. Front bumper covers(2 piece), front engine hood, rear tailgate, rear bumper covers(2 piece) and last but not least left and right side rockers. Most of the work was just paint and minor repair work but when it came to rebuilding the rusted out rocker bottoms, that is where the craftsmanship came out. Just above the running boards I had my rocker panels/sections completely rusted through. Only a complete cut out and removal was the solution. This repair in my opinion was way better than what the factory had originally created. The use of new metal, perfect welding, rust proofing and installation of a rock chip membrane was a repair that will outlast the remaining life of the vehicle. As an added bonus Drew painted the rusted metal rear bumper that is hidden under the rear bumper cover to prevent further corrosion and the rear lift glass hinges. A nice gesture for no extra charge. Total appreciated that! Additional remarks, front and rear bumper covers were completely removed from vehicle to prep and paint the correct way and ensure a perfect paint job with exceptional results and eliminate any possible over spray onto vehicle. To top it all off I provide refurbished rims, lug nuts and new tires to finish the vehicle. Vehicle has a new lease on life and looks amazing!

I came here because the front of the roof on my Fiat 500 had unsightly peeling paint all over it. I sent photos of the issue to several local body shops and Adrian from Impact Auto Body responded quickly with an incredibly courteous and informative message. I brought my vehicle I for a 10-minute consultation, during which time Adrian assessed the issue, explained what he would do to fix it, and gave me a price and finish date for the work. The job took 2-3 days and now my car's roof looks brand new!! While Adrian and his crew did an amazing job, what really convinced me to refer this place to my friends was the amazing customer service. They offered me a ride to work when I dropped off my card, returned my car washed, detailed the inside for me, guaranteed their work for the life of my car, and were generally kind and thoughtful humans every single time I spoke with them! They also do custom work for skateboards, longboards, and pretty much anything else you can think of that would need an aesthetic boost! Come here, these people will treat you with kindness while making whatever you drop off look amazing!

I saw an ad on a prescription pharmacy bag for Impact Auto Body and thought "what the heck". I stopped by and spoke to the new owner of the business. He was extremely friendly, soft spoken and pleasant to talk to. He quoted a price that was very competitive and I wanted to give this young man my business. I was not disappointed. He took the car within a just a few days of giving my quote and returned it a few days later, all fixed, and the car was cleaned inside and out.
