My truck had two different locks on the doors due to previous body work. I needed one door lock re-keyed. I removed the lock myself. I called Hernandez Locksmith. They quoted me a fair price and showed up at my home less than an hour later. The guy was friendly and competent. He had the lock done in 20 minutes and even made me a key as he said my old key was worn. No extra charge for the key. He also gave me a great tip on re-installing the lock. I had called around and discovered there are not many locksmiths who work on vehicle locks. I had been quoted a cheaper price at a locksmith shop in Redwood City but was told I would have to wait one to two hours for it as well as drive there. Everyone told me this place was the best. I lost my only key and needed a new one reprogrammed for my 2005 Golf. I called them to make sure they could do it. Scheduled an appt 3 days out. Mind you, no car, because I have to wait for this guy. Marco arrived , did his thing and unlocked my trunk freeing my keys. It was 150 for weekend nighttime rate. With a copay of 100 from AAA it was 50 . Marco said if you pay cash it's 30. Broke the key in my 69 Cadillac ignition and it was bad. Piece was deep inside and I was facing a massive repair and possibly taking the whole column out as the ignition was also stuck in OFF and you cannot take the cylinder out in this position. I have a Lexus 2001 RX300. Just called Hernandez Locksmith. I have a 2 master keys I bought and laser cut online with wireless remote, which I was able to program, but need the transponder flashed. This is not a review of their service, but after seeing how horrible one of their drivers drove on 880 today with no regard for safety, their service must be just as bad! The yellow van came on us from behind so fast that he almost slammed into our car. Dude must have been going at least 90 mph. Then realizing that we did not speed up, he darted to the side of us, cutting other drivers off left and right until he dissapeared in the distance. Was the dude high or drunk?
