After getting ripped off by other HVAC companies for years, I finally found Greg at All-Star. He…read moresomehow always squeezes me in when I have a problem, even during busy, bad weather events (other places would schedule me a week out, knowing that my furnace wasn't working on the coldest day of the year). His prices are unbelievable compared to theirs, too (about 1/3 of what I was paying elsewhere). AND he makes me feel secure and comfortable. He explains how the furnace works (or should work) and shows you exactly what is wrong. This guy (and his team) is so honest and worth every penny.

The owner came to our house dissapeared for close to 45 min downstairs with another guy, and as all our secuirty shows no one went to check outside the unit.. He said when they were done, the outcome said id need a new compressor, which was around 2 thousand , i said no thank you,, and he said ok it will just be the 95 for the visit i said im not paying a thing, your staff told me it was no obligation, so im not paying i showed him the door. well it comes to find out i called another placed and the total to fix the issue was 180.00 running now like a champ.. unfortunately the issues dont end there. i was so taken back for the bait and switch i called them and said take my name off the lists. I now have called 3 times and still i continue to get marketing material, and i literally told the lady if i continued to get their material i would write a review ,, and so i am, i also said i will contact the attorney general, you cannot harass a customer if they do not want services and demand to be taken off the list you MUST comply. this is a horrible company, im glad i have others moving in with us that are Hvac handy, all these people in the service field are shady

He cut out and replaced a couple copper pipes related to the washer that was leaking. He also replaced our two bathroom fixtures. He helped us pinpoint where a vibration that could be felt from the hot water coming on.. it just turned out to be from the water heater! And it was all good! It was good to have a hearing person let us know if it was a problem or not. He was very honest and easy to work with. We definitely will call and ask for him again. We were referred to this company from another client who had a great experience with Pete last year.

Respectfully, and without malice, and, hopefully abiding by Yelp rules, with no disinformation or…read moremisinformation, only good old i n f o r m a t i o n and a few thoughts for the reader --- Let's suppose that you called a plumbing company for an estimate for work you needed done. An estimate is not labor, but rather an approximate or tentative judgment about what conditions a worker will encounter and, additionally for parts that may be needed...in other words, an assessment for a potential job, no labor, work or exertion at this juncture. An employee of a company (let's say plumbing) arrives, to provide an estimate, per your request. Said employee jots down some notes -- no labor involved. Said employee then proceeds to get on a stepladder to take a quick peekaboo at an attic (the said person didn't actually go IN the attic, still assessing, and no labor or work. After a few minutes, said person immediately heads out to his truck, only to return with a hefty bill of $195 for w h a t?? you might ask. When will I get the estimate? It could be a very BIG surprise for the unsuspecting customer, but let's face it, it sure seems like working at some places can be quite lucrative because they don't actually provide an estimate--just a bill for the drive to your home. A great gig if one can get away with it. Of course, the employee does not do one bit of actual work, nor is he expected to work. You merely made a call to the company requesting an estimate so you know what the job and the cost will entail if you should choose to hire them. You're out $195 with no estimate. It's a 100% win for this company. Too bad for you, silly customer. An innocent person might suspect that this is kind of a shady practice (oops, saying shady - --that wasn't nice ---sorry). To N O T notify people to expect a $195 fee at the time of the initial call for Nothing-- one might wonder who does that? They should at least notify you that they plan on doing nothing when they arrive & hand you a bill for nothing. Does that seem wrong to you? Just asking. Let's face it, businesses are free to charge as much as they can possibly grab from unsuspecting people. Right??! Yep, and most people have a tendency to expect ... oh, who knows, maybe, professionalism, integrity, credibility & trustworthiness. Hmm, wondering if this applies to, let's say possibly, any given plumbing business that might come to mind??? Any thoughts?? Respectfully P.S. You may be interested to know that professional, credible plumbers are out there and the best part is they don't charge for estimates. I know, I found several!!
