If you are going to Herrera's in Addison off of Beltline Road, stay away! After receiving an appetizer that was wrong and cost more, being served Margaritas that were a puke green - no frozen available due to machine not working, to food that was cold and very greasy at a cost of $80 for two people, I suggest you go to Taco Cabana for a better meal at a fraction of the cost. What a disappointment!!! I could not believe how crowded the restaurant was, and I have no doubt that I was not the only one who walked away shaking one's head wishing that they had never walked into this restaurant. I've eaten at this Herreras for as long as it could remember! They have tons of dishes in the menu. By far my favorite is the enchiladas, chicken and sour cream, cheese, or beef, they're a staple of Tex-Mex food and a staple here! Herrera's is my go to best Tex-Mex joint in Dallas. My family and I have been going to the Illinios location together since I was born. (They went with my grandparents before then.) I have never finished a meal at any mexican restaurant...until tonight! Herrera's was delicious. The food came out at an unbelievably quick time, but taste was definitely not sacrificed. Been going here for years. Yes, their sour cream enchiladas are excellent. Really small place so plan accordingly. Hot sauce is spicy.

My favorite TexMex restaurant in Dallas! I cannot leave here without being miserable from eating too much. My favorite is the 2C (2 beef enchildas, 1 beef taco and rice & beans) or the Jessica (1 cheese enchilada, 1 taco, rice & beans) but I have had it all and it is ALL GOOD. Each meal comes with Bean Soup, which is fantastic and chips and salsa (my favorite salsa). Do yourself a favor and order some queso to start off with or the crazy nachos. Sloppy hole in the wall style just like I like it and the salsa actually has heat which has become very hard to find with the influx of people from everywhere but Texas. The worst food I have ever had. The only thing authentic is the beans and the music. It is Taco Bell on a plate. I ordered the taco dinner. The shell was stale and it was one from a bag. I am the kind of person that is scared to branch out of my "usual" dish. That's right, I have a usual dish when I go to Herrera's and their wait staff of one or two men know it well. The chips and hot sauce are by far the best in town. Perhaps the best I've ever had, other than momma's homemade hot sauce. If you go on the right day they have complementary bean soup which is also really good. I love the family owned theme that Herrera's carries. You can tell they're a very humble family, they're Cowboy fans, and they maintain good relationships with their returning customers. Great food. I order the nachos, but other really great dishes are their cheese enchiladas and the beef burritos. Good stuff. I would highly recommend this place to anyone craving some mexican food. read more

Great little restaurant!! We go occasionally with my father who has been going there for years. It is his favorite place. The food is great, it's authentic and has a good flavor. We came to Herra's based on a Yelp review. Food is plentiful and delicious. If we lived in Texas, the Taco salad would be my comfort food. I'm from Oak Cliff but moved to Arlington 15 years ago. Just moved back and visited Herrera's for the first time in years. Absolutely better than I even remembered! I've been away too long. Everything here is fabulous. The service is amazingly fast. Took longer to decided on what I wanted. The salsa is absolutely the best! And the guacamole is by far better than anywhere else. You will not leave there wanting more either. They really pile on the food and even the drinks come in very large glasses.
