Came here with my coworker for lunch and we enjoyed the authenticity of the food. I can say that the service wasn't as good as it could be because our waiter was primarily speaking with my coworker (who knows Spanish) so he did everything when it came to the ordering, asking for refills, etc. I ordered the carne asada (beef) quesadillas and they come filled with meat, grilled onions, and cheese. On the side you'll get pico and sour cream. They have 2 sauces to top your food with as well. I also ordered a small guacamole. I can say the food was very delicious and filling. The sauces were spicy but not to the point you couldn't enjoy your meal. I do plan to come back to try their taco and/or nachos but I hope the customer service is better. read more

Being from Texas, Mexican and Tex-Mex food is a staple, and with it comes high expectations. I had the pork tacos and guacamole, and I was overall pleased with the meal. The guacamole was made with too much juice for my taste, but overall, it was made to order and fresh. The chips weren't homemade, but tasty just the same. Food was good. i called in an order but while i was waiting, the server was packing my chips into a brown paper bag with her bare hands! When i said something to the person at the register about it, he told her to use a glove and start over, the server got upset and gave me a dirty look the rest of the time. Like hello, common sense, don't grab my chips with your bare hands. I hope thats not the norm for them when serving chips because I did not see tongs in the chip tin. read more

This is a great, little restaurant with some of the best Mexican food in town and also they serve terrific margaritas. It's beautifully decorated with lots of Frida Khalo portraits and Oaxacan art pieces. The hot sauce served with homemade chips is really spicy but good. We started with chorizo quesofundido. Perfectly melted with crusty bottom, topped with cilantro salad. My husband had the taco plate. 4 pork tacos, tender, shredded and well seasoned pork. Delicious. I had the chicken mole which was so good. The chicken was tender, the mole had subtle hints of cocoa and cinnamon. It was wonderful. The house margaritas were also very good, mixed perfectly and fresh limes used. Everything about this meal was just great. Loved it. read more

Hidden off Polk, just North of 67, Mi Sazon is a tucked away gem of a Mexican restaurant! Came in today for lunch and was surprised at the amount of menu options! I had the original Torta with Bistec and it was hands down one of the best Tortas I have ever had! Bread was light, veggies were fresh, and the meat was delightful! My wife had the tacos, I suggest the Al Pastor! Good choice of beer and a really cool atmosphere. Our waitress was sweet and smiled the entire time. Highly recommend! All I can say don't waste your time coming here. My parents recommended me this place. First of all my waitress was rude and seem like she want to be at work . She wasn't accommodating to what I wanted to change in my plate. After we got our food my gorditas were hard and I asked the waitress if this were fresh and she was yeah I think instead of offering me a new plate. At the end I talked to the manager Adan about my experience eating here and that I didn't like the waitress or the food and seem like he could care less of what I thought. It has been wonderful to enjoy their super burrito (we've had fajita beef, chorizo, and chicken - so far!), their chicken enchiladas, chicken quesadilla, guacamole, chips & salsa ---AND (our favorite dessert) their churro rellenos with vanilla & caramel cream inside! I have tried this place out about 3 times, trying to see if they had any good food. Sadly they DO NOT. I have try the caldo de pollo ( the Vegetables were overcooked , the meat had a weird taste ) after I tried it I got sick. A few weeks later I went back and tried bistec a la mexicana ( it was very oily and it had not flavor . I also tried the enchiladas de mole ( They were very dry and had a bitter taste to them. The rices was undercooked and the beans Smelled weird. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. I'm sadly to say that I wouldn't even feed this food to my dog. I know that the name of the restaurant is mi Sazon but they need to change the name to garbage!! read more

Loved the exterior of this place so much that I had to take a picture of the place haha. Cute/cozy interior too, although I've only done take out. The menu is easily accessible for ordering, and I've never had any issues with accuracy, altho it may be worth asking for extra salsa. They also have rotating specials that aren't listed.
