What a nightmare! Just avoid at all cost! This is a local branch and not part of the corporate Hertz. So, corporate Hertz cannot help you and the people at the desk absolutely will not. I thought I was being comped a better vehicle... I had a reservation for a week at a cost of $250. They gave me an "upgrade" that was $120 extra per day. No explanation, no warning. Just initial here, you're ready to go. Tried to clear up the confusion and was accused of yelling and threatened to hang up. Asked for the manager and was told "I was right here next to her and you WERE yelling" ... why did it take 5 minutes to get you on the phone?!? read more

Exceptional service! Fast and effective, Carol has a Great team of customer service representatives. Cherish checked us out and shuttled us to the airport safely and quickly. Cassidy was the first smiling face who had been bustling customers right through quickly and effectively. Bailey picked us up from the airport and was extra helpful with our luggage and baby stuff. Super friendly and upbeat. I had a baby and small child I feel like I couldn't have had a better experience! If I could give them 0 stars I would.! Worst experience ever! Carol is the worst person ever! I rented a car in California and on my way to Oregon the right tire was making big noises like if it wanted to pop! I went to this branch so they can check the car and exchange it , she insisted on calling roadside but they knew they don't answer. I waited half an hour on the phone asking her to call on their end as well but she didn't want to. All she said was all they can do is take the keys and leave me without a car even though it was pouring outside. Worst Hertz ever I swear! AVOID AVOID AVOID I was in Medford for work and had a rental car arranged by my employer. The employer had confirmed hours, location, and that the car would be ready...and received a confirmation #. I took an Uber to the location as it was surprisingly not on airport property despite the other rental care companies being there. Uber drops me off, I go to open the office door and um...closed. Lights off, door locked, no one home. This is at 1pm and the sign (as well as the voicemail when you call) says they are open 7 days a week until 6:30pm. I called the main Hertz # to see if they could call that office to have someone come in but I went around in circles with Hertz in which they kept telling me to go to the address I was already at and that they should be open. I was standing outside in 97 degree heat trying to sort this out and failed. I've had rental cars worldwide and have never experienced this. Ended up having to take an Uber from this Hertz location to the airport and was helped immensely by the Enterprise staff. I'm passing onto my co-workers to never ever book a Hertz car from this location and you shouldn't either! read more

THIS IS NOT AT THE AIRPORT. This is a franchise owned location. This location does not deserve the one received. There is nothing on the Hertz app indicating this location is an off site location that has limited service hours. Our flight landed at 6:50. It was in our reservation what time our scheduled flight arrives. This location closes at 6:30 pm. Their shuttle service stops at 5:30 pm. Why are they consider a viable option for fliers if they don't serve during scheduled flight times. We were stuck with no transportation and told we would have to wait until the next day. This is a small airport with limited resources. Most places close at 6pm. This is not designed for travelers, this is a mom and pop style business. read more

Hertz at Medford has an absolute gem of a staffer, "Cherish" is her name. I was surprised to discover on landing at MFR that the Hertz facility was not on the MFR facility. My schedule was very tight. I needed my car immediately. That was not possible with that particular office. The staffer was working alone. When she dispatched service to the customer she was working with when I contacted while waiting at MFR for a shuttle, she proceeded to the airport ASAP. She greeted me with such positive energy when I boarded the shuttle. She had my car keys and contract in hand so that I could walk from the shuttle directly to my car. When I returned the car, she was still working. It was a very hot day. She was cleaning cars. As challenging as the day had been with reduced staff, long day and hot weather, she still exuded positive, capable and professional customer care. I suggest you give her a raise, a promotion and expand your staff. Also, make sure that it is more obvious to the customer on your website that the facility is not immediately accessible in the airport lobby. Great service, fine car. Nice person at counter but please know that this Hertz is off airport via a short shuttle and doesn't open until 8 AM so if you have an earlier flight, you will either need to have someone shuttle you or walk a half a mile to the terminal. read more

We had a great experience with this Hertz office. I wish I would have gotten the name of the young lady at the desk who helped us. First, we did not know that this location was not at the airport until we arrived. However, the shuttle drove up right after we walked out to the shuttle pick-up station. Our shuttle driver helped with our luggage. We expressed concern to the young lady in the Hertz office that the day of our return flight time (9:27 a.m.) was was tight since we had to check a bag and the Hertz office didn't open until 8:00. She offered the suggestion that we could first go check our bag at the airport, then drive to Hertz, and she said she always arrived about 15 minutes early. So we did that, and we were in the Hertz parking lot by about 7:30. We saw her arrive shortly after that, then she drove up in the shuttle and drove us to the airport then. We arrived at the airport in plenty of time for our flight, and our bag was already checked. read more

What a disaster. We rent cars often, but this was a mess. They didn't answer the phone when we called twice from the airport. Left two messages and still haven't returned our calls. We finally catch a Lyft to get to their location, the price was totally different from the quote we got and the car wasn't ready. This is a total mess and a disgrace to the company that we've used for years...this will not end here. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE-total bait and switch practices. read more

Misleading advertising! This Hertz location's ad clearly represents that it is onsite/inside the Rogue Valley Medford International Airport and although you will be charged all of the extra airport taxes and fees, they are NOT on the Airport property...They are NOT even close! You call a phone number (which they do not answer promptly or regularly - you must keep calling until they decide to answer) to have their shuttle pick you up. The shuttle driver will not assist ANY passenger (including handicapped) with climbing into the bus, loading/unloading of bags or anything else. Additionally the shuttle driver is not smooth while accelerating/braking or turning (think square cornering, abrupt starts and stops) and no grab bars inside the bus to hold on to. This location only offers airport shuttles during "their office hours" which are drastically shorter that the hours that the Airport offers flights. If your flight is outside of their very limited shuttle hours, you must be willing to walk the 3/4 of a mile with your luggage or make arrangements with a taxi or Uber and "hope" they will be reliable and on time for your pick up. This is doubly important because: 1) You don't want to miss your flight and 2) You will be standing outside, alone, possibly in the dark, rain or snow, in a very questionable location that is inundated with sad homeless and their "camps"! Lastly, the car I rented was still dirty (inside). There were several used napkins and bottles in the back & under the seats and some sort of dark "ash" all over the front seats. Evidently, this is how they "sanitize" their vehicles during COVID...? While I did remove the garbage and sweep off the upholstery, I was not "willing" to walk 3/4 of a mile, risk missing my flight if the alternative transportation was late or most importantly risk my safety. I also don't appreciate being misled, so I returned my rental as soon as I could secure a replacement from a legitimate "on-site" rental agency... read more

The hours that are displayed online and on their website doesn't match their actual hours!! This was our first time in Medford, Oregon and we thought that we'd be able to drop off our rental the morning of our 7am flight and receive a shuttle ride to the airport. That was not the case. They opened at 8am. When talking to the staff member, she just kept telling us that they're not open so there won't be a shuttle. She never mentioned the express drop off and how to fill out the paper in order to drop off the car before they opened. If we had known that that was an option, we would have just called a taxi that morning after dropping off the car. Never renting from hertz again. read more

I called before reserving to verify I could drop off at Arcata-Eureka airport. They said yes. When I tried to drop off the car, the office at the airport didn't exist - it had been closed for months. Had to drive all the way to Eureka to drop off the car. I missed my flight, had to pay for another night accomodations, another flight, and a ride to the hotel. The Eureka office said the Medford office knew the airport office was closed. Extreme displeasure with Hertz. Will now always use Enterprise. read more
