This is the worst customer service ever! I secured a rental for next week that needs to be modified. It is absolutely impossible to get in touch with any location on the phone, any live agent, nobody. The answering machine keeps sending you to access website or app and modify rental there but that is also impossible, since I tried dozens of times and page keeps freezing in the middle of trying to apply modification. So dissapointing! The only option page gives you is to cancel the reservation and secure a new one which will be costing DOUBLE rate per day for the same trip and vehicle. Absurd! read more

I always book my rental car through priceline and they usually give me a good deal and a known name rental car company. This time I got Hertz. Took the airport shuttle here. There was only 2 people at the counter and one in front. I waited. The gal brought me over to a phone and video tele-conferenced with a live person on the other side of the video screen. It was so weird. But it worked. Everything was interactive. The machine spit out my receipt. Guy says "Pick out any in car in section 3. The keys are in the car." Went out to the lot and there was not much to choose from but I also chose economy. Just was not fond of having a tiny hatchback because our luggage would not fit and we were not going directly to our hotel afterwards so I had to settle for the Wyoming plates Hyundai Accent. You get in and drive to the exit, they check your license and scan your receipt and off you go. The return was also just as easy. I must say this was the quickest and easiest in and out I ever had to rent a car. read more

Unfortunately I needed to rent a car due to someone else doing damage to my car. I filed a claim through my insurance company & they set me up with a rental car through here. I was told by my insurance company that Hertz was going to call me the next day in ref. to a rental as this was a Friday night when I reported my claim & this Hertz was already closed. Due to Hertz closing @ 1pm on a Saturday & it being around 10/11am & I hadn't heard of word from Hertz I called them myself. Told them who I was & they found my reservation right away. I told them I had to run to the body shop then would need a car. I asked if they provided someone to come pick me up & they said yes. When I was ready I called them back & they actually use Lyft & order you a Lyft to come & pick you up. Pretty cool cause the wait time was about 8 minutes & I didn't have to deal with placing the order myself. The Lyft driver had no idea that Hertz ordered him for me. This Hertz is located inside the Executive (very small) Airport. I'm guessing my insurance company used this one cause it's closed to my house & my car was damaged @ my House. It's a very small counter next to another car rental so it's not like your normal Hertz rental place by itself. Mike @ the counter was friendly & got my car ready quickly. Another guy walked me out to my rental car & actually ended up helping me find my way out of the parking lot after he saw me driving around it a few times....lol On my two negative things I'd have to say about this location are #1. The hours are horrible. They don't stay open for very long & the airport is open all night. #2. Have signs that show you to the (only 1) way out of the parking lot. Other then that my rental car was nice & clean (air freshener was too heavy/strong) that they used in the car & it drives nice. I've got a Chevy! Gas is great as I've had it for 8 days now & haven't put any gas in it yet. read more

I never actually got a car. So this is a review based on how difficult the process to get a car was. Our insurance opened a reservation at this location during collision repair. The website said that the location was open until 5 pm and the local auto shop confirmed that. The Hertz corporate customer service called me to confirm and gave me the number for this location. We thought it was all good. After scheduling our repairs, I began calling this Hertz location. We called about a dozen times between 2-5 pm over multiple days. The answering machine sounds like a generic cell phone. We left a message once and the next day the outgoing message said that their voicemail is full. So we called our insurance who stated that their information shows that this location closes at noon. They quickly found us a new location and got us on the line with them. (Yay StateFarm!) This other location seemed confused when we told them what was going on. They said that the Hertz at Henderson Executive should be open til 5 pm. So I am still confused about what their true hours are. Anyways, the other location was extremely helpful and has our business. Getting a rental car can be stressful enough. Don't make it more difficult with this location. read more

Didn't hear from them, called them to see what's up and the lady who answered said they are out of cars to rent out and try again tomorrow. Which is today, called at around 10:30am and the gentleman that assisted me said that they'll call back when this car comes back around 1:30pm. It's 4:35pm no updates. Called them a few minutes ago at 4:30pm. No answer. Redirected to voicemail. I thought they close at 5pm. I know it's Friday but seriously. read more

I rented a car from Hertz. I chose the option of picking up one place and delivering it to another. I selected the pickup location city and the drop off location, the Santa Rosa CA airport. When I got to the airport to return the car there was no Hertz sign and I was told Hertz no longer had a presence there. I called the Santa Rosa office and they said I had to return the car downtown, then cab or Uber back to the airport. The clerk in Santa Rosa was very nice and gave me a credit which will pay for the Uber but the drop down menu on the Hertz website still indicates that airport as a viable pickup and drop off site. I am a professionally trained bodyguard. Hertz is still the worst company I have ever dealt with. The cars out of Vegas run bad and are previously damaged. Habit yourself into a close inspection. It has saved me on more than one occasion. I do not recommend Hertz unless you are in dire need. That's my policy read more

My driver picked me up to take me to the rental location and was driving with one hand and the other hand he was using to talk on the phone? Umm REALLY?! How safe..NOT. And they only had ONE car available for "compact" and the car given is only considered "compact" to this single rental company. No one else considers in compact. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. PHILLIP gave me the worst experience and customer service that I had ever been given by a car rental company. Booked a car and was called saying that specific car was not available and that I would need to cancel, which was fine. I rebooked a different car at the same location, for a higher price a day in advance. I figured there was no issue because my booking went through and no call about an issue like the previous booking. Showed up the day of my booking which was 8:00. Waited for 45 minutes before i was EVEN GREETED! mind you, my rental was for 8AM this morning and i wasn't greeted until well after 8:45. A worker from enterprise right over even called for PHILLIP to come and he said he would be right over but i still waited for about 10/15 minutes before he even came over. Long story short, PHILLIP, told me that he called me yesterday about a specific car being available and i explained to him that i booked a TOTALLY DIFFERENT car that was even more expensive and he said that there was still no cars available. i asked why i didn't get a call or any form of notification like i did for the last booking and he said because he didn't get in until 7:30AM. to me, i felt like that was more than enough time to call someone to tell them that there are no cars available especially because it was 8:45AM at that time and that was more than enough time to call. He was very rude about the situation and basically didn't even want to help me look for another car or call a different location for me. i told him i wouldn't be coming back to this location because i felt as if I was being disregarded and he said "good! please don't!" I called Hertz and reported the incident to corporate and they were very wonderful about the situation. Although i had to cancel my trip because there were no available cars for the time i needed, they gave me a credit to use for next time. I will not label all Hertz the same, but this location has a lot of work to do especially with seeing other reviews about unhappy customers. read more

Honestly, I was annoyed at the hour lunch break they take between 12-1pm. However he returned at :45. Of course only two higher end vehicle options available at this location when I arrived. Frustrated I had to go to the Stephanie location. Luckily Hertz has Daniel. Wasn't initially super friendly. However he offered me a ride to the other location. He was a gentleman and opened my door. Very kind conversation put me at ease. He even got behind the counter of the other location to take care of my reservation. Daniel was kind enough to walk me by the available vehicles to find one best suited for me. I am very pleased with his customer service! read more

I went to pick up my reservation on 07/05 @ 8:20 AM, but nobody was at the counter. Waited for 40 minutes. I went to the terminal front desk to ask if they knew where the person in charge was. The lady made a phone call and the representative finally showed up... no sorry for the wait, no smile, long face the whole time. The car was not clean. I went to return the car this morning 07/08 @ 8 AM. Again, nobody at the counter. The same lady appeared around 8:20 AM when there were 2 people waiting for her (1 couple took off). Rarely do I write reviews but they always say, if a customer takes the time to write a good or bad review, you must have made an impression on them. Unfortunately this is not a good review. Reserved my car online through Priceline and unfortunately my flight was delayed out of LA. Getting there a few minutes late....4 minutes, the gentlemen said that unfortunately since my reservation was for 2pm, that they sold my car. After trying to upsell me on a larger car for $20 a day, I told him, it's not my problem that they sold my car. He eventually matched my original price. The thing that got me was when I returned the car, I noticed on my receipt that it stated Starting: 8/8 full gas tank. What really upset me was that when he gave me the keys in the beginning, he said that the car had 6/8 filled gas tank which the gas gauge was at 3/4 full. So for an agent to put a full gas tank on the receipt when it wasn't, kinda irked me. To slip in something so small like that made me feel as though that was his way of "getting me back". It could have been a mistake or it could not have been. read more

Booked 2 cars for my passengers for a 4:30 arrival however we showed up a little late. Every other location at every other FBO in the country will leave the keys and paperwork with the FBO staff to complete the transaction. These idiots simply went home for the day without leaving the keys, or even attempting to call me to ask our intentions. Instead these incompetent clowns simply left my Passengers with no vehicles and I had to send them via Uber to Mccaran to pick up cars. Great treatment for a Presidents Club and a Platinum member. Do yourself a favor and use Enterprise if you're coming to HND. read more

If I could put zero Stars I would. Worst customer service I have ever received and I'm a gold member! I made a reservation in advance only to get to the Hertz and have to wait 30 minutes for a car to be ready. When the car gets there it's the wrong size and it's dirty. When I asked the employee if he could switch me to another car he informs me that there are no other cars other than an SUV at the facility and he's not booking me for that one. When I ask why, no explanation. I then call the corporate number for them to tell me oh we can make a complaint for you but other than that there's nothing I can really do. So let me get this straight, I'm stuck with a car that should have been a midsize and it's actually a small car it's dirty and I had to wait 30 minutes for it. I get no compensation when I call the corporate office and the only thing they could do is write out a formal complaint. I will never in my life deal with this raggedy-ass company again I'm going to keep making complaints and post until everyone knows how horrible of a company you really are. And I have nothing but time so we can take this to every news station every media outlet!!!! I am beyond pissed!!! read more

Had a reservation to pick up a rental at 7:30am. Got there at 7:30am only to be told they don't open until 8am. We had to drop our personal vehicle off at the autobody shop at 8am, so we went to a different Hertz location, where they proceeded to tell us this location doesn't even handle insurance claims. Huge inconvenience, I'd rather ride my bicycle. read more

This Hertz location charges much more than car rentals cost elsewhere, e.g. at McCarran. But even worse, they sometimes overcharge customers by adding hours or days to the actual rental period, or by charging for fuel when nothing is owed for fuel. read more
