Terrible customer service. They didn't even clean off the car from snow when I got it. I also had to ask for something to clear it off!! Then I saw the crack in the windshield and they had the audacity to claim I was returning it damaged. After almost losing my cool, they gave me a replacement which I returned early by a week. They then accused me of having animals in the car. Evidently I transferred dog hairs and they charged me $200 to clean it. Then they charged me the additional week I did not use the car for the pure reason I was pissed off about the cleaning charged. Beware. read more

I rented a Tesla the car was clean for the most part but when I returned it you have to have it at least 80% charged or they charge you $36 to charge it. So I ended up having to rent it another day for $56 just to find a charging station close enough to the rental office. It's nice not having to pay for gas but charging stations are very difficult to find read more

Contacted customer care about false information given by sales staff. I rented a car when in town on a cc with another driver. Sales rep stated credit cards do not cover insurance on added drivers, so I purchased insurance. I checked my cc policy and it protects ALL DRIVERS. So I was lied to! Anyhow customer care at Hertz never responded to this complaint. Be careful when renting and be informed! read more

The absolute worst place to rent a car from. They post that you can pay online, which is great when you are getting a car for a business rental but you have to have the credit card in house upon arrival which is not apparent when it says pay online. Super sucks when your business is out of town too and the people in the office are super rude as well. Take your money to enterprise. read more

I know there's a hold for $200 when you rent a car. And this hold is pulled of in two or three days or at least after a week. But i don't know why the heck there is a hold on my account for a month. I have rented car from hertz for 4 times till now and all these times the same thing repeated. I call these guys, e-mail them but they could do nothing. read more

Had reservation months in advance. Show up today to pick up and told it'd be hours! They have contract with StateFarm and policy has them bump reservations to serve those insurance people. Staff curt and non empathetic, gave 0 options. Just given scrap paper to write name on and said it'd be hours! Reservations mean nothing here! read more

Apparently when you drop a car at Hertz and have been told it has been looked at and handed a final bill, your contract is still open. I received a call 9 hours after I turned in a car from the same gentleman who checked it in saying it now smelled like smoke and their were ashes on the floor. He admits that he did not see the ashes or smell anything when he checked it in. He also now says he was not checking it in just receiving it and looking for major damage. First off anything that costs $250 to fix I consider major damage. Second if it was so obvious why was the Airport Manager not able to smell or see it when he checked in my car? Even after trying to compromise since this was my rental, I am now stuck with a $250 charge for something that was not noticed when I dropped off car only found hours later on an open lot. I feel that as a responsible customer I did my best trying to find a compromise to our problem. But as a customer I also feel taken advantage of at this point. I will say for a car with 31,000 miles on it, there was only a slight smell to it, bumper damage was exceptable, and finding another person's belongings under the seat happens. But even with all this there is no chance a cleaner missed the ash, or it came from one of at least 3 other Hertz employees who were in car. Was not asking to get off Scot free since I did sign contract, just was asking for compromise on how hard i got shafted. Btw when I did confront the Airport Manager about his lack of professionalism in front of customers he laughed it off a banter with another employee. Personally when an employee shows and then says they are not answering the phone today, I think it looks bad. Exspecially​ when the help was needed. read more

I recently rented from this Hertz location. I spoke with several customer service representatives both in person and over the phone. They all gave me different totals concerning the cost of my rental. I'm now stuck with a bill that doesn't match any charges that I authorized. Really disappointing... I will probably never rent a car again. read more
