But it's so fun to come in and see all of the birds and other animals. As for the photo cost: This is probably because a lot of people are posting pictures saying they are not caring for the animals but they are. Or just coming in to take photos with the birds and then leaving. It's not a zoo it's a store. Are they always clean? No. Why? Because unless you're standing at the door of the cage 24/7 messes are going to happen with live animals. They are all taken care of and never once have I seen anything concerning. I had a beautiful little lovebird that had scissorbeak and they cared for her so well. Sadly I lost her. Now I have two conures and I trust them completely to help me care for them and make the best choices for them. I also have many chickens, turkey, pig, pigeons, geese.. etc. When I am having any kind of issues with them they are so helpful and knowledgeable. They are not rude they are busy. And the amount of times they have to ask people not to take pictures even though there are several large signs is a bit ridiculous. This is such a nice family I just really hate to see people talking badly about them.

I've seen them properly quarentine and treat fish before selling them to the public. Their aquariums are all clean and healthy looking, unlike big box stores that have sick, dieing or infected fish with ick or other diseases. The aquarium plants are all vibrant and healthy looking, free of snails and other pests. I bought my electric blue acara in this store and he was extremely healthy and lively from the beginning. I highly recommend anyone to go to this place first, if they want a great fish keeping experience and not the painful regret of starting the hobby after buying sick fish from other bigger locations.

Buyer beware! They are selective about their return policy. I purchased a generator in Humboldt while camping, our generator gave up the ghost while out and I needed a replacement. I grabbed the only one they had from the closest store, which was 1 hour away from our camping site. After getting it all the way to our campsite, I find oil all over the unit and bed of my truck. The oil that came with it had broken open and covered everything. Not a huge deal, but there was no way I was driving another 2 hour round trip to get oil. So we just dealt with it. The unit was never used. I called customer service and explained what happened, and they said I could return it to any store, and that I did not have to drive back to the store I purchased it. Great right? Well not if you take it to the Hesperia store. I immediately get told we do not take back used generators. Explained it had not been used, it was in the condition it was purchased 3 days before. The person would not budge, even after I showed my receipt and a picture of the oil all over my truck and the condition of the unit when purchased. I asked him to show me where on their website it said "no returns on generator" and he got very combative and walked away. I called customer service at corporate, and they said they could not override the store and would escalate to the district manager. So now I sit here waiting for someone to make a decision, that according to their own website should not even require any thought at all. Your website says clearly I can return it and the item is not on their non return list. I am going to file a consumer complaint with the AG office and also file a consumer complaint with the BBB. Based upon all the negative reviews, I do not see this being resolved at the store level. I see no reason to purchase from a company whose corporate policy is to ignore its own written policies.

The Grooming Dept. is the most inept groomer I have ever been to. Before I go any further I need to…read morelet you know I used these groomers 2 times for the same dog. (I'm a slow learner) My first visit by way of grooming was pretty good. What made me angry was that my Abby sat in a cage for who knows how long before they called me! When Abby gets anxious or afraid she will pick whatever is nearest. When I picked her the first time her whole face was wet from licking the walls of the cage she was in. I thought it was a mistake and let it go. I gave them the benefit of doubt. My next visit was today, and once again nobody called me to say Abby was done. I was going to give Petsmart a little wiggle room because they were busy. I was notified Abby was ready on a private phone not the store phone!! When I got there I was angry. I wasn't swaring or acting like an Ahole. The manager thought that I shouldn't be angry. I think i was well within my rights to be angry. The manager made it clear that I had no right to get angry, and treat him with utmost respect. When Abby was brought out her face was soaking wet! I'll never do anymore business with Petsmart. I've been a loyal customer for years. Petco is a little more limited in products, but I also use Chewy. I'm going to be a lot more business with Petco and Chewy. And 1 more thing...Petsmart is a LOSER company.
