Just got an FJ Cruiser that is lifted and have been worried about cat thieves. I found this muffler shop near my parts store and was greeted by a husband and wife team, Esteban and Gloria. I'm one to ask a lot of questions to understand the details and Gloria took the time to explain everything and show me pictures so I could weigh my options. They're both very kind. Their welder is phenomenal and built me a custom cat protector that will make a thief look at it and move along to the next victim. Price was competitive and below what others charge for custom job. Job took a couple of hours. Now I can relax more about parking my FJ. Bonus: I hung out at Smoking Tiger coffee shop while I waited for my service to be done. He checked my vehicle and told me he wont be able to do aftermarket for this vehicle and told me it would have to be oem. So when i finally saved enough money to get the oem part and brought it to him on friday he straight up told me he cant do the install because of some warranty BS. I had purchased a magnaflow catalytic converter and the O2 sensor bung was not welded completely. It was such a pain to get this one so I went to Western Muffler to see if they could complete the weld job which for an experienced welder it is a simple task. When I arrived there and told the owner what I needed he was very short with me and told me no. He said no I won't do it and told me to return the part. His demeanor was very rude. I've used this business in the past but I definitely won't be returning in the future. I ended up going to HEX muffler down the street on Artesia . He looked at it and said yea no problem. He welded it in about 5 mins and charged me $30 which I gladly paid. Don't waste your time here go to HEX Mufflers, way better service hands down. read more

I wish there was an option to give this place 10 stars!! First I would like to start my review out by thanking the workers at this shop. You guys are hardworking, and very fast and efficient. So I had found out that some idiot stole my catalytic converter, and even though I wanted to cry, I just started my morning out looking for the best place to go. I googled, and yelped a bunch of places, and most of them were trying to charge me an arm and a leg. Now don't get me wrong, I understand that nothing comes cheap or free when it comes to vehicles, however trying to get over on people's wallets just doesn't sit right with me. I was also referred to a couple of places, and even those places were doing the most with their prices. A lot of places that I called and I told that I wasn't interested would try to explain to me why their prices are that expensive, and other places would call my number back just to tell me that I wouldn't find a cheaper place. Well that was a whole bunch of BS, and I'm glad I kept looking just to find this gem of a place. From the moment I called this place, I just knew that it was going to be the place I would take my car to. The receptionist was so polite, and she gave me a definite price with taxes included so I wouldn't be side blinded when I got there. As I pulled into the shop, one of the workers walked up to me and asked me if I was the person that called that morning. He already had everything ready even if I didn't show up. After handing him my keys, within 45 mins, my car was finished. I wanted to cry happy tears because most people depend on their cars to get them from A to B, and I cherish everything my car does for my family and I. It's hard to think that if anything happens to your car, people will charge you to the extreme like you have that type of money laying around. Thanks to this place, I felt so relieved and happy!! Found this place online and was one of the only places open at the time I needed something done. I have a Nissan 240sx that I race at the track and was having a problem with my exhaust system needing adjustment (cut and weld). They were able to follow my direction as well as provide multiple solutions to get the job done. They did an acceptable job of rerouting my downpipe without any leaks and correct positioning. Will be parking my Lexus RX on the street for awhile, thought it might be a good idea to get a catalytic converter shield since thieves have been active in the area. Called Western Muffler about it and a friendly and knowledgeable woman answered all my questions. Took my Lexus in several days later and they did the job for the price I was quoted over the phone. The shield was constructed with rebar. The many wields were professional looking and the shield seemed heavy duty and solid. The business owner stated that the shield was a deterrent which I had previously concluded. If thieves want it bad enough, they'll steal the entire car !!!
