Nice environment. Overall, the wings and rice dishes were quite decent. However we found the fried rice that came with the meal very "fluffy". It seems like they made it like that so they can put less rice with the meal which in my mind is really dumb considering the cost of the rice is quite low. That took away from an otherwise good meal. Hopefully they will address the rice issue next time.

I was in Whitchurch-Stouffville a couple of Saturdays ago. I had completed a few errands and wanted to grab some takeout for dinner before heading home. I did a search on my Uber Eats app and found Hey Moo Moo. Hey, wow, WOW! This area isn't known for having a ton of Asian eateries. I was intrigued. It was five minutes away from where I was. I decided to place an order in the comfort of my car before driving over to pick up my order. I got the following items: - Pork gyoza (6) - Grilled chicken with ramen, chicken broth, and an egg - Lychee sakura soda with coconut jelly I got an estimated time of fifteen minutes for my order to be ready. Super fast! I took my time driving over to this eatery. It's located in a small plaza with a Greek restaurant. It's next door to a small grocery store. There were many parking spots available when I arrived. I backed into a spot steps away from Hey Moo Moo and walked in. The interior is cute and minimalistic. I liked the brown tables contrasted with blue and white chairs. The old-school telephone that was a tip jar on the counter was cool. I had a nice woman at the counter help me out. I said that I had an Uber Eats order. It was right in front of both of us. She got me a straw for my soda. I thanked her and happily left the eatery with my goodies. I drove home to chow down on my dinner. Let's start with the lychee sakura soda. I love fizzy drinks. I was sad to learn that Song Tea in Richmond Hill had shuttered. I got the bulk of my fizzy drinks from that place during the pandemic, which brought me so much joy. Well, there's joy here! I loved this drink so much. You can only go as low as 30% sugar, which wasn't bad. I typically do no sugar. The lychee flavour was excellent. I loved the coconut jelly. The pork gyoza were amazing. I loved that there were chewy vermicelli noodles mixed in with the pork filling, which made each gyoza so special to devour. The gyoza were pan-fried perfectly. You could tell that they were handmade by the crimping on each gyoza. The grilled chicken ramen was excellent. The grilled chicken did get a bit soggy with the chicken broth, but it was still yummy. The chicken was tender. The chicken broth tasted homemade. I chose ramen noodles. They were chewy and so good. This place seems to do everything by hand. The kernels off the corn were manually cut from the cob. It was cool. I had no idea what came with my chicken bowl, so I ordered an egg. I ended up getting 1.5 eggs, as you get half of one automatically. The eggs were jammy and yummy. This bowl also comes with wood ear, corn, broccoli, half an egg by default. I wish that it was mentioned on Uber Eats. Luckily, I liked everything. I don't like bamboo shoots, so I'm pleased that they weren't included. I had an excellent first experience. This place was an amazing find. I look forward to getting more food and bubble tea from this place. It's a nice addition to Whitchurch-Stouffville. (457)

I visited Hey Moo Moo Milk Tea Shop recently based on the recommendation from my cousin who lives in Stouffville and she was not wrong with her suggestion! A small bubble tea shop/restaurant serving the local Stouffville community, this place may seem small, but it's a fun and comfortable spot to catch up with family/friends, enjoy a humble bowl of ramen, and refresh with a cold bubble tea. The ramen is quite delicious from the many topping you can pick from whether it'd be beef slices, fried chicken, or seafood! The broth is on the light and creamier side with enough umami to pair well with the al-dente noodles and vegetables (black fungus, corn, seaweed). The bubble tea menu is more compact but they emphasize on doing those drinks right in terms of quality and taste. They are quite refreshing and each drink is carefully hand-crafted. It's a great family-run business and I hope to see many of you support this awesome local spot!

We love this place, especially since they claim they ** DO NOT have peanuts or tree nuts ** - this means that it is safe for my child to eat here!! So we have eaten here or ordered takeout many many times. I only decided to take pictures this time, so I don't have pictures of all the food I'm talking about that I have ordered previously. We have ordered ramen: the broth is hot and flavourful. The crispy chicken was super crispy with a large portion. The noodles had good texture - it hits the spot when you're craving ramen! We have ordered honey garlic and plain wings: very crispy, fresh, hot. Tasty. NOTE: there is a current take-out special: spend $50 and get a free pound of wings. We often get this deal! We have ordered the honey garlic chicken with rice and the Cantonese chow mein. Good flavour and my kids like this. The drinks are also very cold and refreshing! Who doesn't love a good bubble tea? Note that you can order straight from the business' webpage and choose when you'd like to pickup if you're doing takeout, but I also recommend sitting in. It's a small place but it's cute and the service is attentive and great! Small details like even having very cold refreshing lemon water was excellent to me.

General Tao Chicken on Fried Rice and Beef Slice with Spicy Mala Broth Ramen
Arun K.

Came around 2pm on a Friday; not busy so it was easy to get a table to dine in. The restaurant is very clean and the setting is quite relaxing. Service was great and the host got us started with Thai spring rolls quickly; they were hot and fresh, and the dipping sauce was great. We ordered the beef slice mala ramen and General Tao Chicken over rice. Both dishes came out quickly and were really good. The mala broth was perfectly spicy and numbing, the noodles and toppings were perfect, the chicken was crispy and glazed well, and even the fried rice was light and delicious. Definitely coming back again (and hopefully soon!).

Stouffville is not known for Asian food, so after seeing this new Chinese restaurant, I was definitely thrilled to give it a try. It's probably a family-run business, service was great, and the decor was simple and welcoming. I'd like to really emphasize on the "simple" aspect because their menus were probably just designed using Microsoft Word lols. We ordered their milk tea bubble tea, crispy chicken ramen, and honey garlic chicken on rice. The rice was really good and it gave me hope for this restaurant. The honey garlic chicken was crispy and was packed with flavour, at this point I felt reassured by its quality. Unfortunately, the ramen did not live up to my expectations; the broth was too mild and the noodles didn't have enough bounce in it. The bubble tea was fine, probably could have been less sweet, but definitely fine for a Stouffville restaurant. I think this place is pretty good in comparison to other Asian restaurants in Stouffville. In fact, all it really needs to do is invest a bit in the marketing because it's tucked in the corner of a small little plaza. I'm being a little generous in giving this place 4-stars, but it has potential.

Mala hot lamb slice ramen - spicy, numbing salty goodness
Jenn C.

Heard about a new bubble tea and ramen place in town so decided to check it out. Hey Moo Moo is located in the same plaza as the UPS, G-wings Tamil Origins, and AKT Supermarket. It's a very clean space, not many tables though (maybe 4?). In addition to the ramen and bubble tea, they also have a small amount of appetizers (fries, calamari, spring rolls, gyoza) and dishes (rice bowls, stir fried noodles). I ordered the mala lamb slices ramen. Too salty for what I'm used to, but they got the mala hot spicy oil and numbing sensation right. The lamb is similar to the thin slices you'd get at hot pot, and it was a decent amount. Noodles were springy and didn't get soggy as the meal went on. There were some bamboo slices, black fungus and broccoli too (which was a nice contrast to the saltiness). Chicken wings were ok; they were cooked right (the meat was... moist lol) and were reasonably big but I didn't love them. I wanted to try the bubble tea but I was so full by the end that I completely forgot about it. Overall I think it's a 3.5. Better than expected, and certainly better than average for Stouffville, but in the end it's casual dining and it was pretty expensive for lunch for two.

It is a small place but has enough tables. My cousin knows the worker and owner. The staff and service are pretty good. We ordered different types of chicken and dumplings and of course ramen. It is very tasty. I would definitely come back here again.

Honey garlic fried rice

Very clean place. Very nice waiter. The dumplings were very good and full of meat. The honey garlic fried rice was very tasty. The ramen noodles were not very tasty though. The broth was good but the noodles were a little flavorless. They also have bubble teas.

Tips: - The yuzu oat miso ramen is divine and oh-so special…read more Get it! It comes with both pork belly and chicken. Last Saturday, after a trying week and a not-so-pleasant experience at a ramen joint in Vaughan, I craved ramen with better customer service. I decided to carve some time out to drive north to Aurora to find a ramen place that offered comforting food. I did a search. I found Ramen Yutaka. I had bookmarked it. I needed to go. This eatery is located between Plates and Bowls, and Lee Chen in a plaza that I am familiar with. I've been to the former, along with Best Buy and Swiss Chalet in the vicinity. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into an available one and walked into the restaurant. I was immediately greeted by a friendly woman. She said that I could sit anywhere, so I sat at a two-seater table. Another male staffer came over with tapas, sushi, and ramen menus. I wanted ramen, so I focused on that menu. Service is stellar at this place. The female staffer came over to ask if I had any questions. I didn't. She did say that on the ramen menu, the first few items were clear broths. The ones that were further down were creamy ones. I liked that the creamy broths were dairy-free, thanks to oat beverage being used. Nice! This place doesn't distinguish ramen with pork belly versus ramen with chicken. You get both! You get sous-vide chicken and roasted pork belly with the ramen broth of your choice. The ramen varieties are creative and unique. Seeing coffee and yuzu as ramen options piqued my interest. I ordered the following items: - Coke zero - Gyoza - Yuzu oat miso For the yuzu oat miso, I asked that the bamboo shoots be held. The woman asked if I wanted an egg. Without hesitation, I said yes. Both staffers were exceptionally detailed and attentive. She asked whether I wanted ice in my Coke zero. I said yes. I got water to start. It was much needed after spending my day running errands. I also ended my meal with it. My Coke zero had arrived. It was in a glass with ice. So refreshing! My gyoza were ready. They all looked yummy and the plating was pretty. The filling was pork and was delicious. The dumplings were pan-fried and had the perfect crispiness on the bottom. The house-made vinaigrette was so good. If it were ever sold in bottles, I'd get some. My ramen came out next. It looked good. I liked that only a bit of the roasted seaweed was in the broth. It was a nice touch as opposed to getting completely soggy roasted seaweed right off the bat. The yuzu provided a nice, subtle citrusy flair with the miso broth. I liked the oat beverage for a creamy, luxurious broth that was so good. I nearly finished it, but I was so full that I left maybe five spoonfuls of it. It was such an elegant bowl of happiness. It came with a sweet tofu rectangle that was heaven. I also liked the spinach that seemed to be wrapped in a rectangle. Unravelling it was fun! The roasted pork belly was a thick cut. It was flavourful. I throughly enjoyed it. This place specializes in chicken. I got three sous-vide slices that were so tender. If I didn't have any teeth, it wouldn't have been a problem eating them. They were so tender. I want more just thinking about it. The jammy egg was perfect. You get an entire egg. It was so perfect with this entire bowl of ramen. The ramen was on the slightly thick side, which made this bowl exceptionally comforting. They were chewy and so good. I slurped them down and was so happy. The yuzu oat miso is so special. I let the male server know that everything was superb. This ramen was $24. Yes, it's on the higher side of the scale. However, you get a lot of protein and everything is of good quality. I'd happily go back and get it again. I used the washroom before I left. There are two individual stalls. The one that I used was clean and spacious. Both staffers thanked me for coming. I wished them a great day and happily walked out with a belly full of goodness. Stellar customer service. That ramen joint in Vaughan can take notes from this eatery on how to improve in this area. I needed this meal. My week ended on a high note. Yay! If you're in Aurora, you are lucky to have this eatery. It's worth the drive for delicious, high-quality, tasty ramen. (448)

If we go with my husband, we also get a rice dish. The curry katsu rice dish is delicious!! It is Japanese curry that isn't spicy but very flavourful. We tried the yakisoba, not my fave dish of theirs. It was loaded with mayo sauce, but other than being fatty and creamy, it didn't do much for a balanced savoury flavour. I like that Ippon doesn't use MSG for their soup, my little one loves their ramen. They also provide children's bowl and utensils for the kids. Their mochi ice cream is a must get. Their online ordering system is great! it's fast & efficient, and the service is quite fast as well. I decided to try the Red Knight Ramen, which was good, but not the best I've ever had. While the broth was delicious, the added ingredients like kimchi kind of messed with the flavour. I also noticed they used egg noodles, which were pretty chewy as well. I appreciated the fact that they had add ons, like egg and other vegetables. But when I selected Seaweed as an option, I was disappointed to see that it was just two sheets of seaweed. I would've loved for it to be wakame seaweed instead. I also added a side order of the Chicken Karage which was delicious and definitely made fresh! Overall, I wasn't a big fan of the ramen dish itself, and I'm unsure if I will be back. If I do, I may consider doing the Build Your Own Ramen option instead.

However, the first sip of the ramen broth really surprised me. It was thick, rich, and strong, with an explosive chicken flavour bursting from that single sip. It was definitely as strong as the ramen I had in Japan. I think it was even stronger than Ikkousha Ramen's chicken broth, or at least equal to it. Also, this Midori location in Richmond Hill has a modern, Tokyo-style interior, which makes it more unique than other ramen restaurants in the GTA. Most of them usually try to create a warm, wooden, and bright atmosphere. Midori's ambiance is modern and cool, but still comfortable. I'm a tad surprised that this Kinton Ramen got not-so-stellar reviews as of late. In contrast, I had a fabulous experience. My worst experience at any Kinton has been its Richmond Hill location. Staff got my order wrong, fished out bamboo shoot that I clearly stated that I didn't want, and did not care if I may or may not have a food allergy by giving me the same bowl of ramen. I had come to CF Markville Mall to pick up an order at Swarovski. I used mall entrance 1 to get there. I passed by this Kinton Ramen on my way over. I was ready for an early dinner. It was probably 4 pm on a Monday. I drove over here from my workplace in Mississauga. I thought that it would be great to give this eatery a try. The only downside is that you don't have mall access to this eatery. If you're in the mall, you have to to exit it through entrance 1 and then use the separate Kinton Ramen entrance. It's a bit inconvenient. I'd probably be more annoyed if I had a ton of shopping bags full of goods and winds were at 80 km/h for me to exit the mall and get into this eatery. Luckily, it was a nice day and I had a small bag. I entered the eatery and was greeted immediately by a female staffer. I asked for a table and got one with a view of Churchill's Cigar and Gift. It was also fun to people-watch as I ate. I looked at the menu. The burnt shoyu ramen looked good. I lucked out, as this ramen was a part of a Kinton combo. Yes! I got these items as part of my combo: - Sparkling yuzu lemonade - Pork gyoza (4) - Burnt shoyu with thick ramen and corn I got a cup with cold water. It was refreshing and much needed. It was refilled regularly. I am a fan of sparkling drinks. I love yuzu. Put them in a lemonade and I am happy. The sparkling yuzu lemonade was excellent. Yuzu has a more subtle lemony flavour that is so refreshing. It felt fancy having fizzy lemonade. I loved this drink so much. The pork gyoza came out next. I got four of them. They were deep-fried. The pork filling was yummy. I loved my bowl of burnt shoyu ramen. The thick ramen noodles were chewy and perfect. The chashu was delicious and flavourful. I loved the dry seaweed, corn, jammy egg, scallions, bean sprouts, and garlic chips. There was a mild burnt flavour to the pork broth that was nice. I couldn't fit dessert in. I was stuffed. I paid my bill at the table with a credit card. I tapped the machine with my card and was done. I used the washroom before I left. It was fancy, from the sink, to complimentary mouthwash. As I was leaving this eatery, I saw a pickup window for takeout orders. It was cool. I like this Kinton a lot. Staff were friendly and competent. The food and drink were excellent. I'll be back.
