I'd heard a lot of people rave about this drink, so I finally gave it a try. It definitely has a strong kale flavor, but the aftertaste reminded me a bit of kiwi. I like that HeyTea offers a healthier option to balance out their other drinks. There's usually a line, but ordering through the app makes things so much easier! You can skip most of the wait and just pick it up when it's ready.
I was really craving the mango coconut drink so I had to try again whilst I was in the area. This time around my friend and I got the Coconut Mango Blue (I believe that's what it's called) and it was delicious :-) My friend got hers with the 0 calorie sugar. Normally I don't order the 0 calorie sugar because it would taste too sweet, however it tasted really good here! I ordered mine with default sugar. The mango is usually sweet enough so I like to order mine with light sugar. Whenever I'm craving a mango sago drink, I will definitely come back again!
Well really 4.5 stars but I had to boost it up because the drinks we ordered were rockstar. Came in after eating all you can eat which I would say it's harder to like anything else after you're full. However heytea surprised our whole group and we do love the drinks despite being full. There was a massive amount of people waiting for their drinks on Easter Sunday night. So that right there is a great indicator of its popularity. Ordering was a little rocky for me as it was my first time and I had questions that I couldn't get answered because it was so busy. However plenty of people around to explain favorites and I do appreciate seeing pictures of what the drinks look like. That matters a lot to me. I ended up downloading the app and ordering off there. There was one kiosk and other people used that as well. When I placed an order there were 80 other drink orders ahead of me. The wait was around 20 minutes. It wasn't bad considering how popular it is. They got those drinks out as efficiently as they could without compromising quality. The boba was the freshest softest pillowiest boba I had. I am in love! And the Jasmine tea has such a beautiful fragrant note. I couldn't ask for anything more. I want to come back and order some more soon.
I've been to a handful of Heytea locations and I usually get the mango coconut boom. It's tasty, refreshing, and a good balance of fruity and creamy. Solid go-to drink. Not my drink but tried some of the king jasmine guava which was just ok, tasted quite watered down and tasted a bit too artificial for my liking. The wait can get pretty long during rush hours. Minimal seating inside.

L O C A T I O N HEYTEA is located in the 99 Ranch plaza on Hostetter. The parking here is horrible. It's definitely really hard to find parking as it's shared with a lot of popular dining spots plus there's a 99 Ranch. I luckily found a spot. I N S I D E Well walking up I saw people hovering about and waiting inside, and there's a few seats inside. There is a kiosk to order as well as the register. There was a lot of workers busily making drinks. M E N U They have a variety of drinks including matcha which is apparently they are well known for as well as fruit teas and drinks. I ended up getting a normal black tea latte with boba to just try it out. The drink was smaller than I expected. The tea and latte was tasty and the boba okay. S E R V I C E I did my order at the kiosk and it was easy to go through, paid by card, but I didn't realize that the wait time was going to be almost an hour. Had I known, I would've just gone somewhere else. I was SO hungry/dehydrated as I just came from teaching a pilates class that I was just not happy not knowing that I was going to be waiting almost an hour for my drinks. They do prettily pack the drinks into a nice paper bag. O V E R A L L Although the drinks were good, I would not come back unless I ordered online ahead or go when the wait time would be less. They did have some interesting drinks. But yeah, that wait was not great. Not worth the wait imho. So take advantage of the online ordering if it's available.
Ordering is still a breeze via their kiosk or mobile app. Their drinks are still consistent and meticulous on sugar levels. The parking lot is still full as per usual, but the store was not crowded. Seating was available for once! The jasmine latte (large cup) is a super floral milk tea. You can choose how strong the tea taste is for this one. Really wish they had the larger size for their regular black milk tea! The longjing milk tea is more on the bitter side with a strong tea taste. Jasmine green tea is still one of the tastiest in the bay. All drinks were ordered with minimal sugar, which is great for people who are looking to cut sugar and still have a caffeine boost.
Decided to stop by for their buy one get one free drink on King and Jasmine guava. I love Haiti specifically due to their. I love going to heytea due to their frequent offers of buy one get one free what a deal! Guava flavor is apparent. It is a tad more on the watery side. The boba was soft and chewy with a perfect amount of brown sugar. The drink itself is super refreshing on a hot summer day. Basically, the workers are so incredibly nice and it was extremely busy however, they're very patient and helpful.
I get the hype, I really do. The kale drink tastes amazing and so does any of the mango ones. The service is extremely fast even with lines spanning out the door. When I ordered the person said there was 75 drinks ahead of my order and it took them no longer than 15 minutes. The service is extremely fast so don't be scared to wait in line!!
Online ordering/pickup was smooth. Parking might be tough on the weekend. It's located in a busy plaza. The kale boost tea was very good and refreshing - best drink I've had from hey tea so far. I didn't taste any bitterness from the kale. Got less sugar, no ice, and it was good for me, who usually orders boba at 30% sweet. I might even try lowering the sugar next time. Another drink I enjoyed was their yingde black milk tea. The mango boom was also good, but I wouldn't crave for it - I've had better mango sago drinks at other boba shops in the bay. Other items I've tried and would NOT recommend nor get again: - king jasmine milk tea: despite getting the king jasmine, which was supposed to have more tea than the regular jasmine, I thought the tea was still not strong and fragrant enough. - mulberry tea: same complaint - too sweet, tea was not strong enough. - grape boom: tasted like a grape smoothie you can make at home, but with slushie texture. Not bad but not worth, would pass. TLDR: I recommend the kale boost tea.
They fixed the ordering queue so the wait was comparatively quicker thankfully. Good service, can order at front counter or self service ordering kiosk in store. Coconut Mango Boom was great with lots of mango bits and a great non-caffeinated option. Their seasonal Golden Oolong Yuzu was very refreshing and unique.
Heytea deserves all the hype. It is very popular for a reason. Even on the days where there are no specials the line is quite long to be prepared for that. You can order on the kiosk and wait for your number to be called. The flavors are very fresh and the tea is very different from other places. You can tell that they really put the care into their drinks and the menu options are very varied. The matcha is not the best I've had but still good, but their boba is one of the best I've had, and the grape drink was very refreshing and a very unique drink. The location is pretty small. There's not a lot of seating space inside.
I love hey tea! I love that they offer a free 0 cal sweetener option. This location is always super busy & there's only one kiosk to order on. The wait time isn't terrible there's seating inside and outside or if not could explore the nearby stores. I really love the smell inside heytea All the florals yum. I got the triple supreme matcha. I love that I was able to add extra matcha and extra mochi for free! Love that especially in this economy. Honestly can't go wrong with any of their drinks! I also love the kale boost tea and iced jasmine matcha :) Note: I haven't been to heytea in a while & it's my first time back after a few months. I didn't know what the PET cup was when I ordered the matcha. I would get the regular cup next time :(

Since the San Jose HEYTEA was opened, it has always been a place where me and my family goes to when having leisure time. All the drinks there always shocks me with their special occasions that none of the other store has!!! read more
Heytea has been a trendy spot lately (and for good reason, I think). The location is busy--there are tons of other businesses and restaurants around, so it's convenient to stop by before or after dinner to grab milk tea. Fighting for parking can be a bit tough, but once you're inside, the drinks come out quickly after you order them on the tablet. The interior is clean, modern, and well-lit; though most people take their drinks to-go, there is some seating if you want to sit down for a little to chat. The menu is pretty large and spans a wide variety of drinks ranging from matcha to milk tea to fruit slushies, so there's something for everyone. Everything is on the pricier side, in my opinion, generally ranging from $6-$8. The drinks I have tried are beautiful to look at and taste really good as well--the flavor of the tea is always strong, and the fruit in their drinks taste sweet and fresh. I will say that even the lower sugar options err on the sweeter side. Overall, I would definitely come back. I might treat it as somewhat of a special treat, given the prices, but I have no complaints at all about the quality of the drinks. I also think it's cute that they have a variety of cup colors/styles for their different drink options. Everything is very stylish. read more
Very happy Heytea opened a new location in North SJ area. You can smell the tea aroma once you get intp this location. The interior is pretty spacious. Their tea is excellent and very refreshing. This place is pretty crowded. Expect a wait for your drink. Great drink is worth the wait. read more

I've been to several locations for HeyTea and one thing I've noticed is they are pretty consistent. This location has one kiosk which is the only downside cause the two teens in front of me couldn't make up their minds. There is also a QR code to download the app and order that way. You can also accrue points towards rewards this way too. I recommend doing that as it is faster than waiting for the kiosk or in line to order at the counter. Limited seating inside so most people stand outside. Top fave is still the coconut mango boom. Although right now it's not mango season so it's not as sweet as it usually is. Other drinks to get would be the grape or the matcha. The have some seasonal flavors but I haven't tried those yet. Parking could be a bit of a challenge as it is located in a plaza with ranch 99 so it gets busy. I waited about 20 minutes after ordering and it said that was about 80 drinks in front of me. read more
I have discovered my new boba obsession. I'm hoping that HeyTea sticks around this cursed location where businesses seem to close down every couple of years. My favorite drinks: Mango Coconut Boom (5/5) - HELLA GOOD! I don't think I could ever get tired of this drink. It's basically mango and coconut sago. You can't go wrong with this combination. Mango Coconut Blue (5/5) - It's the same as the Mango Coconut Boom...but make it blue! Mango Grapefruit Boom (5/5) - I honestly was not expecting to like this drink because I don't like grapefruit but it works really well with the mango. The mango is toned down in this drink because of the grapefruit. For grapefruit lovers though, maybe the grapefruit would be too subtle. Order ahead if you can! So first time here and didn't disappoint! For starters this place is pretty busy but with that being said did not wait long for our drinks at all! Was very surprised. They have self ordering kiosk inside but we chose to order through the app. Which was very easy and straightforward, except for adding boba to your drink. If you use the app you have to scroll down to extras then add boba individually to your drink. Other than that very easy and straightforward So for the drinks themselves. You can tell they use real fruits and fresh ingredients, real tea and such. Everything tasted very good and could tell the quality was there. They make very authentic jasmine tea drinks. This might be a niche thing but their drink carrier is by far the best of any boba place I've been they use a cardboard holder that goes in a bag and you can carry it easily and securely. Very convenient. Probably a very minor thing to love but convenient if you're moving with a lot of drinks All in all, the drinks are great! The service is fast! And the people are very nice! If you want some really fresh and good drinks Highly recommend!! read more
Love Heytea's matcha! It always has rich and deep flavor. I love the supreme or triple matcha and the matcha cloud coconut. This time, I ordered in person at the store which was a huge mistake... It took 26 minutes for us to finally get our drinks (despite not having many people in line at the store and they had 6+ staff making drinks). I'll just continue to order online for pick-up in the future. read more
Been to a few more HeyTea locations and I have to say, they are pretty consistent! I personally really like that because HeyTea becomes a great spot to stop by when I need a pick me up during the day or after dinner. Our new favorite drink is the Cloud Jasmine Tea - can choose between the Cheese Cloud or Matcha Cloud. This is a great option for those who love a strong Jasmine tea flavor. I'm not a big milk tea drinker anymore but lately I've been enjoying coconut base drinks with a cream top. I absolutely love their Cloud Coconut Blue, I typically like to share drinks with others because I never finish but that's never the case with this one. It tastes so good, it's light and refreshing but also creamy and the amount of matcha is perfect. I love that it has little jelly bits inside too. Both their Hostetter and Cupertino operate equally and efficiently. Most of the people I go with typically order any of the Boom slushies which I don't prefer but are still yummy, especially if you like to have more textures in your drink. If any of my friends ask me tea I'd probably say no but if they ask me to get Hey Tea specifically it's a yes every time. read more
The coconut mango boom... a literal out of body experience. Words I'd use to describe this drink are exquisite, well-executed, balanced, delectable, divine, mouth-watering, and the list could go on. But simply summarized, in one word that encompasses its entire being, I'd call it perfection. Besides that, my friend got the cloud matcha and my other friend got a green grape drink. Overall, they both liked their drinks. The store layout is ehh and not much seating. Service was okay, and inside was cramped. I tried HEYTEA's new King Jasmine during their buy one get one free event and it was absolutely worth the 1hr wait. The floral aroma hits immediately and the flavor carries through from the first sip to the last. Other jasmine teas honestly pale in comparison. I really liked the decor and the simplicity of the menu as well. If you've tried other boba spots around San Jose and are used to watered down milk tea that needs extra sugar just to be drinkable, this will completely reset what you think milk tea is supposed to taste like. This is what true milk tea made with premium jasmine should taste like. Deep, layered, and brewed almost perfectly. Nothing is diluted here. The tea is bold yet smooth with barely any astringency or bitterness. At a lot of other spots, jasmine milk tea can come off bitter or astringent, or worse, so watered down that you're basically just tasting milk with a faint hint of jasmine. I highly recommend adding their signature salt cream. It elevates the jasmine and balances the floral notes beautifully without overpowering the tea. One thing to note is they do give a bit too little salt cream for the $2 add on. I'll definitely be back. Next on my list is the pistachio cloud foam. read more
Came on a Saturday night. It is very hectic upon walking in and the smell inside the store is very unpleasant. We ordered at the kiosk and it said there was 84 cups ahead of us. Took about 35 minutes for our order of 5 drinks to be ready. Was a bit disappointed because they were out of a few drinks we wanted such as the kale, tiramisu collab items, and triple matcha. Overall the drinks are good, it's nice you have the optional to make the matcha stronger without additional charge. All the drinks we got were yummy and perfect sweetness. I would not wait that long for boba drinks again so I recommend ordering online ahead of time! read more

HEYTEA totally lived up to the hype for me. I've tried a lot of tea spots around the Bay, and this one really stands out for both quality and consistency. The space was clean, modern, and busy when we went, but the line moved quickly, and the staff stayed friendly the whole time, which I always appreciate. The drinks tasted super fresh and balanced--not overly sweet like some other boba places. You can tell they put effort into the ingredients and presentation. Everything looked as good as it tasted, which made the experience feel a little more special instead of just another quick drink stop. What I liked most was how smooth and light the drinks felt. Even with toppings and cream, nothing felt heavy or overwhelming. Service was fast, staff was nice, and the overall vibe felt welcoming even with a crowd. Best for: Tea lovers, casual hangouts, or anyone looking for a solid drink that actually tastes high-quality. Definitely a spot I'd come back to whenever I'm in San Jose. read more
I first had Heytea in New York and now there's so many locations in the bay! I really like all their unique coconut and matcha drinks. Wicked (5/5): This is the promotional drink for the new Wicked movie. It comes with matcha, pink pomelo, and dragon fruit. I thought the matcha was perfectly earthy and the dragonfruit provided a great scent of fruitiness. Will definitely be back for their other drinks read more
A little bit hectic when you first arrived, but I guess that is a good sign for delicious food (it was POPPING at a random Wednesday night). Yet, there was only one kiosk so maybe adding multiples to accommodate the popularity wouldn't hurt. Nevertheless, I understand why it was hectic... the coconut mango boom was very refreshing, with good amount of sweetness (suggested by the nice staff). After noticing many other customers ordering this drink, I can finally understand the hype. read more

UPDATE: ---- ORDER PICK UP PROCESS ---- If you haven't been to this location in a while they have slightly changed their pick up process. They no longer the numbers shown on the screen to show what orders have been completed or are in process. You are able to check if your order is ready from the QR code on the receipt but you will need to have the app to view it (if you purchase in person) or can check your order on your app if you ordered on your app... To be honest, the system is still flawed because there are times my order has been ready but still shows as in progress. You will just have to go and ask if it's ready at the pick up counter. They still do not have a microphone and loud speaker for when they call out orders which would help greatly... idk why they haven't started that yet LOL read more
My sister in law told me about this tea shop that opened up. Always wanting to try new places, I had to give it a shot. They are located in the plaza where Ranch 99 is, right next to Gen BBQ. My SIL told me to order via online, because in person can be a while. I used the app and placed my order, saying it was about a 20 min wait with 42 orders ahead of me. Since we were leaving from another location, I timed it perfectly so when I arrive, the drinks should be ready. As I was walking in, it was beyond packed, but luckily, my order was ready. I showed it to a worker and they gave me my drinks. Mango Cloud: This drink was not too sweet, but very refreshing. The mangos were perfect in this drink and the cheese foam was exactly as described. I got it at half sweetness and that hit the spot for me. Overall, I can see myself ordering from here again. The Kale Juice looks interesting, so I will probably get that one read more
I've been obsessed since learning about Heytea from my friend. I've only visited this located next to Gen and it's been busy every single time. The strong tea scent hits you as soon as you step into the store. Highly recommend to place an order ahead so you don't have to wait that long in store. There are a few seats but it's quite noisy with the blender going off at all times. Not really a chill place to hang out. I love love the blue mango coconut less sweet with the sago. went back to Heytea for another BOGO and this time tried their Matcha Cloud Coconut Blue while my boyfriend got the Matcha Cloud Coconut Aqua -- and both were so good! The drinks were super refreshing, smooth, and had the perfect balance of matcha and coconut flavor. The coconut jelly was fresh and bouncy, and you could really taste how natural it was. I got the Blue, which comes with coconut milk jelly, and it was creamy and rich without being heavy. My boyfriend's Aqua version had coconut water jelly, which was lighter but still packed with flavor. Both were delicious -- honestly one of the best drinks I've had from Heytea. read more

Mochi yingde black milk tea, extra sweet. Could do without the cheese cream next time! Overall perfect balance of flavor. Coconut mango boom, extra sweet. Could be a little sweeter but overall really fresh and good balance of textures and flavor!! read more

This is usually my go-to heytea despite there being several in South Bay. It's the one with generally the shortest lines and relatively easy to find parking. I usually order online for pickup, but when I order in person and there's a wait, I just wander over to 99ranch or the Asian beauty store. They used to have bobo milk tea at 6.50, and it was so good despite being a little sweet. Their boba is top tier. Such a good texture, and honestly I have left it overnight in the fridge and it was STILL GOOD. I've never had that happen before!! Their mango coconut booms are great as well. The huge chunks of fresh mango are so sweet and the coconut jello is such a nice touch. Of course there's sago too, and the combo is sooo good. I've loved every drink I've tried from heytea so far except this most recent time, I got the wicked collab from this location. I'm not sure if mine was different since everyone seems to like it, but mine tasted so off. Like matcha with a hint of sour milk. This is the first time I haven't finished a drink. Despite that, I will keep coming back and giving their old and new drinks a try. read more
I love heytea. I dont even live near a heytea, the closest one is 2 hours away, I have the app, and if someone asks me if im down to go to the bay ill say yes 100% of the time so I can visit heytea. My favorite drink is the cloud mango. Their cheese cloud is the best I've had anywhere. With the drink it tastes like a mango cheesecake. I love that their fruits are always fresh, and the tea they use is always high quality. None of that artificial stuff. I also really like their crisp grape boom, and the coconut mango sago. This location gets really busy all the time, and I get it. I really respect the workers here, they got a good system going on to pump out the drinks as soon as they can, ensuring quality along the way. I would recommend to download the app if you frequent here, as it make ordering and picking up so much easier and less of a wait. read more

So, umm, I got the Yumberry Boom thinking that I would take sips of it throughout my whole drive back to Elk Grove (Sacramento area), but I already demolished the drink by the time I reached Milpitas LOL. I'm gonna say it.....best fruity drink that I've had (.....that's not boozy :p). Such a refreshing taste!! To describe it I'd say it's like blackberry with a tinge of cranberry-like tartness. So good! Also, *perfect* slushy consistency! There's some heftiness to the drink ice-slushy-wise, but not so much that there's an awkward mound of ice slush settled at the bottom of the cup by the time the drink is finished. My sis ordered the cloud green grape and I tried it as well. Also pretty tasty! Thicker consistency due to the cream; kinda like a drinkable orange creamsicle but in grape fashion. Plaza parking isn't too bad; might not be able to find parking right out front because of the 99 Ranch Market there, but I had no problem finding a space a little further away from it. read more
This location is in a plaza but it is a very busy plaza especially on the weekends. Parking can be difficult. I heard great things about this spot and wanted to try for myself. I came on a Saturday and it was so packed. This location was very crowded. Their was people both inside and outside waiting. They have an electronic ordering machine and someone in the front to take orders. When I went, both had lines. I ordered the Coconut Mango Bloom which is their take on mango sago drink. It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks. The flavor was very good and not too sweet. There wasn't any room for us to sit because it was crowded so we left and drank our drinks somewhere else. I tried their matcha and the Coconut Mango Bloom and both were really good! read more
