First off, I won't be responding to any responses or messages from this review. Tuesday evening, a call went out on the radio for assistance for a vet whose car had broken down and was stranded out by Sacramento airport. We got a tow (A1 towing by the way.) to my husband's next job site. Patrick gave us a call the same night, having heard our request on the radio, and offered, amongst other things, to help fix the car, free of cost. And since our car is literally our lifeline right now, that if the car was beyond fixing (or it would cost too much to fix), would set us up with something cheap we could make payments on. Here comes Wednesday... Patrick sends a mechanic out to look at the car, and help us out with food for a couple days since the start of the job site got delayed and my husband gets paid daily. Mechanic runs the OBD reader, replaced the sensor the OBD reader flagged and the battery since it couldn't be saved, said everything else looked fine (husband also looked at the OBD reader so can confirm they weren't hiding anything at the time). The car was overfull of oil, so he spent a while longer trying to get oil drained out of the car, thinking 1. That might be why the car still won't start and 2. If we DO start the car - SPECIFICALLY (this is important later) - so we wouldn't cause so much pressure the head gaskets blow. NO MENTION that they might already be blown. NO SYMPTOMS either. The last thing the mechanic said to us on Wednesday was, "I'll see you tomorrow." (He had to come back with a specific tool to get the oil filter out to drain the excess oil. Once again, his diagnosis had nothing to do with the head gaskets.) Come Thursday morning, we shoot both Patrick and the mechanic a text so we can plan for the day, try to find some place cool to settle until the mechanic came back by. (The day before the mechanic had shown back up with the part without calling to tell us he was on his way, so we wanted to make sure we were there when they showed up.) Hours went by. My husband left several messages for the mechanic and Patrick throughout the day. Grateful, but confused. Literally told them if there isn't anything they can do, to at least let us know. Fast forward to Friday afternoon. We get back in touch with the radio station. It took him a few hours to be able to get in touch with the mechanic. The mechanic then told the DJ, 48 hours after telling us "see you tomorrow" and then ghosting, that it's a blown head gasket and there's no more they can do. Oh, and by the way, Patrick is now out of town. We still haven't heard a single word from either of them. We appreciated the help. We really did. We still do. But I can't imagine a more unprofessional way to conclude business with somebody. Especially a veteran. Based on this interaction, they show themselves to be unprofessional, unreliable, and untrustworthy. There will be more work to be done on the car, and on future cars. They just lost years worth of potential business. I count myself lucky this was a comp job and that I didn't loose any money at their hands. Still very grateful for the assistance they DID provide, but it was a mockery of generosity. NOTE: I do remember the name of the mechanic, but as I'm certain his involvement in this fiasco was all Patrick's doing, I'm not willing to put him in the spotlight. read more

Had an outstanding experience getting my horse trailer repaired last week at HiTech Collision Center in Loomis! Despite a personal loss, Pat took care of my trailer and ensured that I could use it 2 days later. My husband backed our Sequoia into our 23 yr old's beloved Camero ON CHRISTMAS DAY! After having more than one body shop take us to the cleaners over the years I decided to ask around & we were told about Hitech in Loomis. I loved that it was a local shop owned & operated independently. Patrick, the owner, was more than patient while we tried to rendezvous our schedule with our typically busy and arrogant (reember; he's 23!) son's schedule to get the car over there for an estimate, as well as the subsequent repairs. We got an estimate @ another shop as well. Patrick not only lowered his original estimate, but the final bill was to the penny of the estimate! The staff is very friendly & personable. My son's car needed the bumper reattached after hitting a huge pothole in the road on a stormy night. I called and the guys there said to bring in it that day. We dropped it off and within an hour they had it fixed and ready to roll! Very friendly service too! Will be coming back for all of my auto body needs! read more

While driving on the coast another driver let me know that ALL my brake lights were out. Later when I tried to take the top down on my convertible I received an error and the top would not retract. Thinking I had a bad fuse I used a tester but all checked-out. When back home I called Patrick and he said to just drop by and he would take a look. He quickly diagnosed the problem...all 3 bulbs had gone out at once. He quickly installed new bulbs and then quickly determined the problem with the top (a disconnected wire harness). In less than 30 minutes both problems were fixed AND Patrick refused to take any payment for his services or the parts. That is unheard of in this day and age! I will be taking my car back to Patrick for all future work as he has proven to be honest, fast and knowledgeable. read more

They did a really great job on my Toyota Venza. Somehow they managed to repair my side mirror without replacing it. Other shops wanted as much as six hundred dollars to replace the mirror. The only problem with the mirror was a small piece of the casing was broken. They fixed the casing and the mirror looks brand new. read more

Worst job I've ever seen come out of a body shop. Had to take the car back because parts were falling off and all the work they did was terrible. They fixed a door ding that was supposed to be done by pointless dent removal. Instead they took It upon themselves to fill It with bondo/body filler. It wouldn't of been so bad if you couldn't see It through the terrible paint job and if It was sanded correctly. The hood and bumper were replaced and had blemishes covering them. After about six months the paint also started pealing off. I would not recommend this shop to anyone!! read more

My classic 1949 Ford had paint missing in a small 1" by 3" area due to a chemical spill. With my supplied paint of the correct color they were able to quickly repair the paint so you would never know there had been a problem. read more

Have used them before and I'm always amazed at the level of work and service I get. Took my 2004 Tundra in last week for an insurance claim. There was a minor fix needed on the left front fender, but this older truck was not looking that good anyway. Picked it up and they had buffed it and detailed inside and out making it look almost brand new fixing other mars and scratches. Love this place and Patrick is so helpful. Insurance wanted me to use another facility and that will never happen. I highly recommend Hi Tech and will be taking other vehicles to them outside of insurance claims because I know their level of service and the outcome can't be beat!! read more
